Suspicious

When Daphne came back to the house, she saw Raphael and Will sleeping in the bed, hand in hand. The both of them were exhausted, Will from the entire debacle, and Raphael for witnessing the horror fest. She saw the both of them sleeping, so she did not disturb them. She went to the attached study room and took a book to read.

After some time, Raphael moved ever so slightly. He looked up and saw Daphne in the study. He looked back at Will. Will looked completely different from the previous day. His skin glowed, and he just felt more existent, if that was a thing. Raphael's brow knit, as he recollected the events that transpired just a few hours past. He looked at Daphne, guilt clear in his eyes. Finally, he sighed.

"She can never know what happened here. She would hate me and herself for allowing such a reckless thing.", he thought to himself.

Seeing that his exhaustion had just crept away, he slowly moved, ever so slightly, to the right and took of Will's hand from his stomach. Will just rolled over to the other side, but he remained sleeping. Raphael breathed in relief, and the moment he did, the cool air from his mouth startled Will.

Will was dreaming about the very disturbing affair that had occurred prior in the day, so the moment he woke up, he was crying. Raphael face palmed himself as Daphne came in.

"What happened? Why is he crying so much?", she asked, quite concerned.

"I don't know. He is a baby. Why do they cry? Maybe he is hungry. When was the last time you fed him?", he asked, drawing attention away from what he did.

"Oh! I did not feed him today yet. Maybe that is why! Leave the room, I will feed him."

Raphael complied with absolutely no complaint. He knew that he had so much to pay for, and that he owed Daphne a lot, especially considering what he had done. He left the room, and went to the hall. The hall was big, but no one to give it any meaning. He sat in one of the sofas, and just looked at the huge portrait of his grandfather.

"What happened to you, Grand Father? I miss you so much. Why did you have to leave? The moment you left, father changed immediately.", he asked the portrait.

As if it was listening to him, the man in the portrait moved. "Raphael. How many times have I told you that I am not your grand father. I am just a picture. Your grandfather died. He is no more. I want you to understand that."

"Well, you are the only person left who I can even remotely call family in this house, and you are just a picture. How sad my life is. I truly wish that I could go back to my Hogwarts days. They were so much fun, compared to this hell that I am living in right now."

"You must respect the present, child. You have a son now. Why not make sure that he lives the life that you wish you did? He still has a very long life ahead of him. Prepare him so that he does not turn into the heartless man your father turned out to be."

Raphael's eyes widened. "You are absolutely right, grandfather. I can indeed do that. How did I not think of this before? Yes, that should be my goal. I should make sure that he does not be the prick that my father is, and ready him for his school life."
