A few days later.
Potter Manor.
Harry returned to his room after taking care of his plants in the greenhouse, he quickly made his way into the shower to get rid of the dirt and muck from his person.
Harry and his siblings wake up early in the morning to take care of the basic magical plants in the potter greenhouses, this is just one of the duties they have to perform under the tutelage of their grandmother Dorea Potter nee Black.
Being raised as a Black Harry's grandmother never really bought into the whole pureblood supremacy but instead developed a very elitist mentality. Rather than judge someone based on their birth Dorea Potter recognizes them based on their talent and skills.
As such she is a big believer in House pride, according to her if you are born into a rich and powerful line like the potters you have to respect your lineage by being better than everyone else. Only powerful and skilled wizards and witches can call themselves true potters.
That's why after triplets turned seven years old she started teaching them things that don't require magic like the first stage of Occlumency, basic herbology, preparing basic potions ingredients and making basic potions, etc. This is all on top of regular tutors for magical and Muggle studies.
Since Harry already knew all of these things he mostly spent those lessons pretending to learn and helping his siblings through their lessons. Due to this Harry and his siblings have a pretty tight schedule for most of the day, Harry can only truly train his magic during the nights in Hogwarts. At least Harry doesn't require as much sleep as normal people due to his enhancement rituals or he would have been exhausted all the time.
But all of this has created another problem, even though he tried to hide it but now his parents and grandparents think that he is some kind of prodigy that learn things just by seeing it once, especially when it comes to potions.
Harry can easily brew perfect potions, just like every other aspect of magic the effect of the potion or spell depends on the skill of the wizard performing it. Even a Hogwarts student can brew a polyjuice potion but the effect of this potion would only last for minutes to an hour and such disguise can easily be noticed with proper magical senses, but a perfectly brewed polyjuice potion made by a potion master could last for almost a day and can't be detected by even the strongest detection spells.
Harry's ability to brew perfect potions has nothing to do with his knowledge and skill in potion making, his ability instead comes from his exceptionally powerful magical senses. He can sense the potion ingredients with perfect clarity, he knows where most of their potency is concentrated, he can sense when to add them to the potion to get their full effect, etc. But Harry is not really a potion master, he can only perfectly replicate recipes made by other people.
This has caused a lot of tension between Harry and his grandmother, Dorea Potter is a true potion mistress as such she can't really stand that her grandson who is a "prodigy" when it comes to potions is not really interested in the craft. Especially because the same thing happened with his mother, Lily Potter is also naturally gifted in potions but instead chose to become an enchantress. But his grandmother doesn't understand that his mother is the only one with the real talent he is just a hack.
Harry sighed at the thought of once again listening to his grandmother go on the importance of potions. But he can't avoid his family so after cleaning up Harry made his way down to have breakfast.
As he made his way down towards the hall he was greeted by countless portraits of his ancestors. Officially House Potter was founded in the 12th century but only the potters know that is not true, their family has existed for more than two thousand years. It was only in the 12th century that the name of the house was changed to Potter. This was done to protect the house and its secrets.
That's why House Potter still follows many old traditions that have been forgotten over time by the rest of the wizarding world. Traditions like never giving out your true name to those outside the family. Even in the ministry records Rosaline and Charles are just Rose and Charlie Potter.
When Harry reached the breakfast table he only found his parents and grandparents along with little lily at the table. It seems that his other siblings are still not done.
As soon as he sat down his grandmother turned to him "where are they?" She directly asked about his siblings.
"The twins got into a fight and started throwing dirt at each other so I sent Rose and Charlie to stop them but before I noticed these two also started fighting and got covered in dirt. After I put a stop to their fight I told them to clean up before coming back" Harry said as he filled his plate.
His parents started laughing with little lily while his grandmother just shook her head in disappointment. The twins are just eight years old so these two only started learning under their grandmother for only a year now. It is really hard to understand the twins because one second they are closer than ever and the next they are pulling each others hair out.
It was a normal breakfast for the potter family until his grandmother suddenly noticed Umbridge's name in the newspaper. She quickly took the paper and started reading.
"I knew something was wrong with that toad of a woman, as if being a harpy wasn't enough she also had to torture people with blood quills, people like this are a shame to our entire kind" Grandmother said as she finished the article.
Then she turned to his father "What is that useless minister doing about this? I am kind of shocked that the incompetent fool didn't try to sweep this toad's death under the rug"
Harry's father shook his head "Fudge tried to hide it but the next day there was already an article about the whole thing in the newspaper by Rita Skeeter, she had pictures and even a copy of Umbridge's list of crimes. Our department called her in for questioning but it seems she got the information anonymously. When we found Umbridge's body it was covered in carved out words due to blood quills. But even with this the department is not really interested in finding who did this, we confirmed that everything she wrote was true from the bribes, misuse of truth potions, torture with blood quills, etc. Even if she was alive she would have had to spend the rest of her life in Azkaban"
