Parents. 4.

After my very annoying phone call with Bowman I finished my workout and then got ready to meet Kara's parents. I wanted to at least be able to make a good impression on them.

Though in the back of my mind I couldn't help but feel sorry for Kara and her family. I would be leaving in a week and they would probably never see me again.

I made a promise to myself that I would always protect her from afar even if I wasn't with her in person.

That was the least I could do.

Time flew by for the rest of the day and now it was time for the dinner. The only problem is that Kara hasn't gotten back from work yet.

She is running late.

Could something have happened to her.

Right as I was about to call her and see where she was at. The door code was punched into the front door and Kara walked in, however she looked different.

She looked stunningly beautiful. Her hair was all done up, make up was on point and perfect. She was even wearing a beautiful black dress that hugged her body up top and flowed out towards the bottom.

It was sexy yet conservative at the same time. I was completely speechless. To me she looked like a goddess.

"Well, what do you think." Kara asked as a crimson blush showed on her face.

It was really cute how she blushed, even though we kind of drunkenly got married to each other. I could already see myself falling for her.

"You look absolutely beautiful." I told her with all honesty.

The crimson blush that was already on her face became even darker as she hid her face and quietly said.

"Thank you."

Kara then walked into her bedroom to grab a few things that she said she need for her parents, and then we were in the car. Heading to her parents house which was around thirty minutes away.

The car ride was peaceful with the beautiful dusk nightscape of the city.

Thirty minutes later we arrived at her parents house. Or should I say we arrived at their mansion.

It was a beautiful sprawling mansion with a huge front yard and even its own gate. It reminded me of a lords castle that was sitting with a view of its territory. In fact the city below almost nearly belonged to them with their families massive influence and numerous business that they own.

But I wouldn't find that out till later.

As we pulled up the guards bowed as they saw Kara and easily let us through. The driveway was long and gave me time to stew and get more and more nervous.

It seemed that Kara noticed that I was getting nervous since she put her hand atop my sightly shaking one.

"Thanks." I said as she parked the car and she smiled at me the most lovely smile.

"Are you ready." She asked.

All I could say was yes that wasn't at all convincing.

The front door opened and two people around fifty years of age but still looked really good stepped out with cold expressions on their faces.

Kara seemed to know who they were.

"Mom, Dad this is Jack. My new husband." She gleefully said.

And thus started my first meeting with her parents.
