*2 months later*

       ~Kat's P.O.V.~

I finally make it home from school and I'm exhausted. These past 2 months all I've thought about is Joe and I couldn't help myself anymore so I take out my phone,scroll to Joe's contact,and before I can chicken out I text him. I take a deep breath because it's too late to take it back now so I'm going to let what happens happen.

K:Hi-8:01pm

J:Hi beautiful-8:02pm

I blush at his reply because he does remember me.

K:How are you?-8:04pm

J:I'm tired.How are you?-8:05pm

K:I'm exhausted and my brain hurts.-8:06pm

J:Why does your brain hurt?-8:07pm

K:Because I just got home from school and my last class was math.-8:08pm

J:Ouch math is the worst.It can't be all bad though I bet you're smart and math was a breeze for you.-8:10pm

My blush darkens at his reply.

K:I hate math though.It sucks.-8:11pm

J:I believe you'll be Ok.So do you want that date now or what?😉-8:12pm

K:Actually yes I do Joe.How about tomorrow?-8:13pm

J:Sounds good to me.Can we hang out tomorrow as well?-8:15pm

K:Sure I have schoolwork to do,but if you want you can come over in the morning and we can make a day out of it.-8:18pm

J:Sounds like a plan.Can I have your address please?-8:19pm

K:Of course it's 371 North St. I'm the blue house on the left.-8:20pm

J:Thank you beautiful.When would you like me to show up?-8:21pm

K:You can show up around 11am if you want.-8:22pm

J:I can do that beautiful. 😃-8:23pm

K:I look forward to your arrival then Joe.😃-8:25pm

J:I'll be there then beautiful.👍-8:26pm

K:Good.I'm going to go to bed now because I'm exhausted. Goodnight Joe and I'll see you tomorrow.-8:28pm

After we said goodnight I changed into my night shorts and tank top and lay down in my bed.*I can't wait until tomorrow* is my last conscious thought before I get comfortable and fall into a peaceful sleep with a smile on my face and dreams of Joe.

  ~Joe's P.O.V.~

As I was walking home from my night walk I couldn't help but smile as I think of Kat. In fact she's all I've been thinking about for 2 months now. Just as I make it to the security gate my phone vibrates in my pocket so I fish it out to see a text from an unknown number and I smile wider because I know it's Kat because I don't give my personal number out to many people. In fact only 3 people have my personal number and 2 of them are already saved.

~Skip Text Conversation~

After me and Kat are done texting I am excited for tomorrow. I walk through the compound gate,up the driveway,and through the front door with a big smile plastered on my face and as I walk in the house I'm met by Kyle,my second-in-command and best friend. He looks at me like I've grown a second head, raises his eyebrow,and asks, "How was your walk big guy?" "It was good.How are you man?" I reply with a laugh. Kyle raises his eyebrow higher and says, "Ok I have to ask who are you and what have you done with Joe?" "I am Joe you drama queen. What am I not allowed to smile now?" I ask as my smile grows. Kyle smiles,raises his hands in mock surrender,and says, "It's just weird man.I haven't seen you smile like that in 5 years.What caused the smile dude?" My smile widens as I remember Kat and after a minute I reply, "Well that's a long story but the short version is I met the most gorgeous woman 2 months ago and she helped me out." "Congratulations man.I can see by that huge ass smile on your face that she makes you happy so I wish you good luck with that relationship and I hope she'll accept the lifestyle. Also how'd she help you?" Kyle asks with curiosity in his voice. "Me too man and she uh dug a bullet out of my arm and sewed me up.Where's my sister and nephew?" "Upstairs sleeping.I promised Sara I'd make sure you got home safely" he says with a wide smile. "She always worries doesn't she" I reply with a laugh. "Always man.It's just in her nature.She's a mother hen man" he replies with a smile. I nod and say, "I'm safe Kyle go be with your family.I'm going to lay down myself man." "Alright man sleep well and I want the story of you being shot tomorrow" he replies with a smirk so I nod and say,"Yeah sure man.I figured you would" with a smirk of my own as I make my way upstairs to my room. As I enter and close my door I take off my pants and shirt,fall face first into my bed,and as soon as my head hits the pillow I fall asleep and to my delight I dream of Kat.
