Mira darted through corridors and around corners, her footsteps echoing in the empty halls. She could hear her heart pounding so loudly in her ears as she tried to slip away.

Adrenaline coursed through her veins, her eyes flicking around, searching for someone chasing after her. Faint shouts echoed in the distance, coming from the same path she had just sprinted through.

"Cough, cough." Mira let out a series of coughs, her chest heaving as she struggled to catch her normal breathing after the relentless running.

Her breaths came in short, and she found herself panting heavily. She was forced to inhale deeply through her mouth to intake as much air as possible.

Sprinting at full speed had really taken its toll on Mira's stamina, causing her to cough between breaths, her chest feeling tight from the exertion.

Realizing she needed to catch her breath, she gradually slowed down, allowing herself a moment to take in a few deep breaths.
