In a world of mysterious and spiritual creatures, Kaijin is a carefree, intelligent, and serious boy who seeks revenge on a mysterious evil spirit organization that took his family's lives away. Kaijin also walks among the people who can make contracts with Cryptic to fight evil or unholy spirits. But there is always a catch to using Cryptics. Whether it is physical, spiritual, or mental, there are many ways to pay Cryptics. The Cryptics have to feast on something from their contractors in order for them to battle. The stronger the contractor the stronger the Cryptics power and the more vital the offering is the more loose and dangerous the Cryptic is. How will Kaijin survive in a world where danger is extremely common?

Chapter 1: The Hunt Begins

*Tap Tap* As a boy with short blonde-ish hair and yellow eyes who is wearing black and red gloves and a jacket with the same color as the gloves and a white plain T-shirt inside his jacket is on a skyscraper seemingly waiting for something. *Tsk Tch* the radio right next to him malfunctions as an evil presence is walking in an alleyway. He grabs a big duffel bag with a mouth on it and free-falls from the skyscraper and lands on the ground and walks into the alleyway. "Hello there," the boy says as the spirit turns around and screams an eerie screech. The boy seems unaffected and tosses his bag in front of him. "What shall you offer me," The bag says as the spirit tries to run away from the two knowing that his screech wasn't affecting them. "I will offer my identity," the boy says as the bag laughs. "You are quite a strange one," the bag says as he slowly morphs into a human-like creature with a mouth for his face, "Very well, I will accept your offer" he dashes towards the spirit and grabs the spirit by its face and slowly crushes it. "Delicious," the creature says as he is about to bite down on the boy. The next day the boy from the alleyway walks into a busy and overcrowded outdoor market. He walks up to a human-like octopus chef who is making some chow mein and the boy orders some. "I haven't seen you around here before," the chef says "You new around here?" "Yes, I am," the boy says as he grabs some money from his pocket. "I am visiting some relatives," he says as he hands the chef a few dollars. "Is it okay if I know your name? I am trying to know customers well since they might come again" the chef says as he hands the boy two boxes of chow mein noodles. "Okay then, my name is Kaijin and I am an evil spirit hunter," Kaijin says as he grabs the boxes from the chef's hand. The chef looks surprised "You look too young to be an evil spirit hunter," he says in a confused manner "I am only 15, I may not look like it though, but I promise I am 15," Kaijin declares and quickly scurried away. "Geez, it seems that the organization is accepting 15-year-olds now," the chef says as he is looking up into the sky "I feel like I know that kid…probably just my imagination" The scene cuts to Kaijin sitting down on a bench in a park, and he opens the small cardboard food boxes. "You want some Egon," he says to his bag "Oh my, when did you start being generous to me," The bag says "Shut up before I change my mind," Kaijin says to Eon as he dumps the noodle in the mouth of his bag. "It isn't half bad" as Egon chews on the noodles "I can't believe he still doesn't know me," Kajin says "You said you would let me eat your identity," Egon says "I know, but…" Kajin says while sighing "I thought maybe a little bit of my identity would still exist" he mutters and he takes a big bite of his chow mein noodles. Chewing and crunching noises are heard while the two keep eating. Kaijin tosses the boxes in a trash can. Kajin sits back on the bench "I am not even in the evil spirit-hunting organization," Kaijin sighs again and writes something in his notebook. "Can you give me my phone and earplugs, please?" Kaijin asked Egon as the bag throws up his phone and earplugs from his mouth and Kajin catches them and puts on the earplugs and listens to music. "Now then which spirit is next on my extermination list," Kaijjn says while smiling evilly. "This gonna be so much fun…I hope" Kaijin says while looking at his notebook. In the notebook, there is a description of a suspicious human.

Kaijin looks up at the sky "Another evil spirit perfectly described," Kaijin says as he leaves the park and walks around a street. "How do you know if that guy is an evil spirit," Egon says giggling "Are you just making an excuse to attack innocent people?" Kaijin's response to Egon's question "I have seen him walk into the alleyway with the evil spirit we killed yesterday. That is how I tracked the spirit down, but it seems that this mysterious "human" didn't show up yesterday." Kaijin presses his fingers on the notes. Kaijin walks into a hotel "Nice to meet you, dear resident," the lady at the counter greets Kaijin as he walks towards the elevators. *Ding* elevator arrives on the first floor and Kaijin walks in and presses on floor 13. "We will move out at 9:00 am," Kaijin says "We have loads of time to spare so rest up when we get to my room" *Ding* the elevator stops at the floor and the door opens. Kaijin walks out of the elevator and opens the door to his room and he walks in. His hotel room is quite tidy, with a big TV in the living room and a decent size couch also in the living room. A coffee table is in the dining room with a small wooden chair. Kaijin walks into his bedroom which is quite bigger than the living room and the dining room together. He has a full-sized bed in the corner of the room and to the left of the bed is his computer set up which is a little high-tech and to the left of that is a closet. He opens the curtains and *Chirp Chirp* he hears birds chirping in the afternoon.
