Chapter 9: The trip to the park

[AUTHOR'S POV]

Before they actually left, Aiko didn't forget to take her backpack with her.

To others, it looked like she took her story books, an Empty notebook and colours. But in fact, she hid some papers between the pages of the books.

She had written some theories and stuff she wanted to review later on.

Aiko didn't plan to slack off, even after coming outside.

Now, the Mother and daughter arrived at the desired destination, the park.

"Well then Aiko chan, make sure you make friends and have a good time!," Tomoko chirped with a big smile on her bright face.

"Oh, I prefer to rea-"

Aiko,who was taking out her book got cut off by Tomoko who snatched the book away.

"hmm? Little missy, we didn't come here to read. We came to enjoy a day outside, a relaxing and fun time!"

"But mother-"

"relaxing.and.have .fun.time.outside." Tomoko repeated, word after word, slowly.

She had a smile on her face but… that scary dark aura surrounding her again.

Aiko gulped, knowing that she will never win against this ultimate existence «a mother».

"I'll keep these with me~," Tomoko said while taking the backpack from Aiko, who couldn't protest anymore and sighed in defeat.

"Well then, now go play and make friends!"

Since Aiko only spent most of her time _it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say All of it_ reading books at home and going to the Library , Tomoko started getting a little worried.

Even though she wanted her daughter to do things she loved, it wouldn't hurt to relax and make friends her age.

The only friend Aiko has is Shikamaru. That is if they even consider meeting occasionally as being friends and not just acquaintances.

That was Tomoko's plan for today, to bring her out of her box.

after her mother left she turned around looking at her surroundings, seeing kids playing with their own parents and children who were all around her. A soft smile formed on her lips. She stood there for a while then she made her way to the nearest tree and sat down leaning against its trunk while watching them playing.

There is something she has always envied about them; how easy it is for them to live without any worries, they don't have to feel anxious about the future, it's peaceful but… only for now. She knew that things would get difficult soon, starting with the uchiha massacre.

Sometimes she wished that she didn't have those memories and knowledge from her past life. she would have been a normal kid playing on the swings at recess with her friends, she would be laughing and enjoying the last hours before they have to go home and attend their classes and studies but instead she is sitting alone on some tree branch watching a small group of children playing , she couldn't do that as she is mentally too old to interact with her peers.

Again, having her past memories set an invisible barrier between her and her current ‹peers›.

she missed those days where she could talk to her best friend Akari who lived next door, the days she spent with her mom, making tea, baking bread or whatever she felt like doing, she missed her family .

a Yell from behind her interrupted her train of thoughts, turning around she noticed some boyes ganging up on one kid.

What astonished her was that all the parents were ignoring the situation on purpose as they continued their discussion, like nothing was happening in front of them.

Based on this situation, the boys won't stop bullying the little kid anytime soon. She had to do something… she could imagine her nephew being in that situation. She can't just stay still watching someone get bullied in front of her eyes and do nothing about i..

Aiko watched intently and sighed.

she really didn't want to intervene, but if they continued to go that far, she would surely lose her temper.

her patience left when one of the adults grabbed a stone about to hit the little guy she widened her eyes at that.

Without hesitation she quickly stood up and shouted "STOP IT!" loud enough to catch the attention of the older kids and adult , they turned around startled by the sudden sound.

Aiko walked toward them, trying her hardest not to let her anger show "What is exactly your problem?" She asked coldly " what did he do to deserve this treatment ?"

one of the kid replied " because he is a demon "

" a demon? Are you being serious? " Aiko clenched her fists at the kid's words.

she looked at the adult to find him agreeing with the child as he said with intense hatred;

"a demon like him doesn't deserve to live "

She was dumbfounded by what she heard.

with that she looked at the kid watery blue eyes staring at her with that the dot connected in her head this boy infront of her is Naruto Uzumaki the holder of the kyubi.

He looked so young and innocent, his eyes were filled with sorrow.

if she looked closely she could see the bruises forming on his hand and legs. She felt rage and anger boil inside her heart. She tried to control her emotions to not scream at that man.

How dare they treat him like this? They should be thankful that he is containing the kyubi and mostly he is just a kid. they are treating him heartlessly.

If they didn't want to interact with him, why bully him? Why couldn't they just at least ignore him? He didn't even ask for their help or anything, yet they're being like this to him!

" i don't care about your unreasonable reasons, but you are going too far, '' she said firmly, trying to calm herself as she continued. '' I don't see a demon in front of me. He is just a kid like all you are. and you, i thought adults were wise and responsible, what are you doing picking on a kid? that's quite shameful don't you think ?"

her voice got stronger each time her sentences became louder than the ones before her, she glared at them with cold eyes.

They stared at her, shock painted on their faces. she wasn't sure if that was due to her tone or the fact she spoke so calmly and collected but either way they were stunned.

"so you should apologize to him for your awful actions right now " she added waiting for them to apologize

" Like hell we will apologize to the demon , and you little kid will go back to your mom or else " the adult said sennering at the kid

" oh is that so , so now you are threatening me? then i guess we can bring this matter to the police do you know abusing children will get you 4 years in prison "

"you can try, but no one will believe you " the adult spat back

she looked over her shoulder to see her friend running towards her.

" oh really, are you sure about that? I think the kid's mark and bruises are enough evidence. oh and there is an officer c'mon let's go report this " she said as she noticed the uchiha who passed by the park.

she put her hand on the kids arm and helped him to stand up she made a gesture to wave at the uchiha officer , but then the adult from before stopped her .

" tch fine we are apologizing "he said

' civilian truly do fear uchihas ' she thought smirking mentaly maybe this will come in handy sometime in the near future.

as they apologized to naruto who was bit flustered

" Was it really that hard ?Now we should tend to your injuries. have a good day gentlemen i hope this won't repeat again " Aiko said clapping her hands together with that fake grin still on her face .

then she grabed his small hand and with that the two left leaving the angry adult and confused children behind.
