“Thank you,” Ollie says. “Sorry for the moral dilemma.”
“It’s f—well, it’s not fine, but I suppose at some point I would have tripped over it anyway.” Mica sighs dejectedly. “Where are we with the necromancer? What do we know?”
“Precious little,” Ollie mumbles.
Wes doesn’t exactly disagree, but says, “We know that the people of the village do sacrifices and ah, possibly know how to direct their power due to the necromancer. He’s somehow in their midst while being seen by few. We should act carefully, necromancers aren’t the best at hiding, so it’s concerning that this one does it so well.”
“We think we know that,” Ollie corrects. “We also think that the disappearances started happening around the time the person who worked with the necromancer became Elder.”
