Chapter 6

In the gods realm, there exists a golden scale. The scale was used to measure the balance between life and death, applicable to all living beings. Usually the scale was unbalanced, tilted slightly to the right, to life. During dire times of war and plagues, the scale tilted itself to the left, toward death. Though it was never balanced, it was necessary for the gods and goddesses of the lands. The scale was what determined what events were to occur in the future.

If the scale was tilted to the right more than usual, some sort of a disaster would be sent to the world to reduce the life to death ratio. But therin laid the problem. All gods relied on human beings to survive. If the prayers of humans were to stop, all gods would perish, not even leaving a trace of their existence. This meant that they preferred if the scale remained tilted to the right than the left. It brought problems to all gods' survival if the scale was tilted to the left. All gods except Ajal, of course.
