"Kuroko, is it true?"
Looking at the newly entered girl with an apprehensive expression, Saten glances at me with an unhealthy complexion.
Staring blankly at Saten, she gives a slight blink as her emotions start to rampage through her mind, visible through her eyes and on her face.
Confusion, deep thought, realization, panic, embarrassment, anger, and a slue of various other emotions, before her expression sets into one of dead seriousness.
Shifting forward onto her knees from her sitting position, Kuroko slams her hands onto the table, causing a surprised reaction from the others.
"NO!... No... no..."
With a serious conflict in her heart, that is also worn on her face, she battles against herself momentarily before lifting her eyes, as a tear forms in her eyes, becoming blurry.
"Misaka is... The only one for me... I would... I would never-!"
"Kuroko."
Hearing the cold, chilling voice, spoken in a soft and sweet tone, Kuroko looks across the table at her beloved. Gritted teeth behind a rigid smile, an obvious twitch in her lips as she glares at the girl across from her.
Seeing Misaka's expression, Kuroko freezes before slowly sitting down, ending her theatrics with a sheepish smile.
Seeing her newly disciplined demeanor, Misaka sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose as she sinks down slightly, relaxing.
Leaning over to Kuroko, I cup my hands and lightly press them around her ear, explaining to her what they want to know.
Kuroko, with an overtly neutral look, nods her head slowly, glancing at me with a curious look.
With a slight bored expression, she leans forward, resting her elbow on the table as she holds her chin within her hand.
"She's potentially one of the most dangerous threats Academy City has ever faced..."
At this all three of the girls freeze, Uiharu, and Saten more tensely than Misaka.
"...but she's completely harmless."
With a flicking motion, she inflicts a sharp pain into the side of my head, causing me to raise my hand, rubbing the afflicted area.
As both Uihara and Saten watch with held breath, I restrain my desire to retaliate against Kuroko, deciding to play along with her game.
With few tears in my eyes, I glance at Kuroko with a glare, trying to put on a hurt expression and tone as I voice out my faithless complaints.
"Kuroko..."
Drawing out her name in a slight whine, I put on a rather dull play, due to my expressive affliction.
Yet despite this, the others seem to be affected by it, if their wide-mouthed expression said anything.
Misaka, glances at Kuroko and then me, a thought crossing her face.
"So... You've been watching her the past few days?"
At this Kuroko nods in the same bored manner previously shown, before showing a more depressed and hurt look.
"Actually... I took the day off today... But you don't seem to mind..."
Glancing at Uiharu and Saten as she says this, she shows a bitter and sad smile, giving a certain beauty to her face.
Getting up, Kuroko quietly walks to the door, floating through almost like a ghost.
Watching quietly as she leaves, Misaka sighs, standing up as well, following her just as silently.
Seeing them simply leave like that, I glance at the other two girls, sitting there with uncomfortable and uneasy expressions on their faces.
'Looks like I made a great first impression...'
Sighing lightly, I follow the duos lead and stand up, leaving the room without a sound. As the door shuts behind me, closing with a soft click, the world blurs around me as I exit the third dimension, quickly reentering into a familiar room.
"Hm... Welcome home..."
Sitting in front of the spot in which I appeared was none other than my esteemed older sister, wearing her usual style of clothes, which is very little, the bare minimum even.
Giving a slight glance at the game she's playing, I shuffle around the table, draping myself on the couch as I let out a sigh.
Noticing my slight expression of feeling, she stops for a moment before continuing her gaming.
"Bad day?"
At this I give her an invisible nod, crossing my arms as I look up at the ceiling, various emotions storming through my mind.
"Yeah... I met... New people today... But..."
Letting myself relax lightly, I explain to her what happened.
Hearing me out, she never takes her eyes away from the game, sometimes offering a few simple words.
"Hm... I see, I see..."
Setting down the controller, she turns to me with a certain glint in her eye.
"You see Lily..."
She jabs a thumb at herself, a grin on her face.
"Back in the day, I used to be the most popular goddess in all of existence!"
With an all too bright smile, she says something that could possibly have no truth to it. Despite this, I find myself listening to her intently.
"All you have to do to get those girls to understand..."
A brief pause.
"Is to beat those little bootlickers into submission!"
'...'
Speechless in heart, body, and mind, I fall speechless at her supposed advice. Yet despite the obviously unhealthy advice, I can't find it in me to directly refuse her.
"... I'll try... Hyde..."
Hearing this she gives me an overly enthusiastic nod, quickly turning back to her game, humming a slight tune.
Seeing her attention start to fade, I turn my head back to the ceiling, a thoughtful expression on my face.
'Well... Maybe...'
--- --- ---
Hi, today I don't have anything important to say...
Actually, I wanted to ask a question. Why does everyone dislike Chinese translated novels?
I think they are way more interesting than the trash that is peddled out usually, plush most translation errors are bearable and easy to understand. And if it's the writing style, then I actually find it rather amusing.
Well... Maybe I suppose I have an abnormal tase.
Anyway, feed me comments and stones... And maybe something a little extra ;).
Have a nice day...
Love~
You~
