OLD HABITS DIE HARD

Adrian silently follows Lucas to the canteen.

The canteen was situated in the building beside the 1st year class building.

It was more of a restaurant than a canteen.

The canteen building has 4 floors.

The highest one for the teachers, 3rd floor was designated for Elite class students and Ace class students, 2nd floor was for diamond class and platinum class students and 1st floor was for the students from gold to bronze class.

This was set since the foundation of the Academy.

Elite class students and the Ace class students could come and eat on the 2nd and 1st floor but they rarely do that as it would lower their class, likewise, 2nd-floor students could go and join the 1st floor but they also rarely do that.

You could join the lower one but if you were in lower-class then it is impossible to do so.

Every student was given a badge containing the logo of the Academy.

The logo was designed such that it has 7 colours in it which represent the different classes.

Purple- Elite class

Dark blue- Ace class

Violet-Diamond

Red-Platinium

Golden yellow- Gold class

White-Silver class

Brown- Bronze class

If you are in Elite class then the purple colour light will be lightened and if you are in Ace class then dark blue colour light will lighten like this all the students of the different classes could be recognized.

These badges would be with the students from their 1st year to the last 3rd year and would contain progress and regress of the students.

These badges also contain a sensor with which you could get the privileged according to the class you were in.

Lucas and Adrian went directly to the 3rd floor via the elevator as for Hayden he was there waiting for them.

Elevator also had a scanner that could scan the student's badge before it could set the floor for the students.

No matter what there would always be shameless and mischievous students who would try to enter the higher floor despite their class so to prevent that the elevator was installed with the scanner.

Adrian and Lucas soon arrived on the 3rd floor and found Hayden by the window table.

" Have you ordered?" Lucas asked as he took the seat opposite Hayden.

Adrian sat beside earning a glare from Lucas and a pity from Hayden.

" Umm, brother Adrian you are really daring to seat beside brother Lucas huh!" Hayden first answered Lucas then tease Adrian subtly, he tried to do subtly.

Adrian coldly looked at Hayden making him shiver in fright but he still has his brother Lucas to protect him.

" Brother Lucas, look how scary brother Adrian is, he is glaring at me," Hayden act like he was frightened as he grab Lucas hand.

The temperature around Hayden suddenly turn chilled, when he looked in the direction from which that cold air had come, he was met with cold grey-blue eyes looking at the hand he was grabbing.

Hayden quickly withdraw his hand, but he still looked at Lucas with tear-filled and miserable eyes complaining to him about certain someone.

'Brother Adrian if I am to be threatened by you then, you would have to get scolded by brother Lucas,' Hayden smugly thought but one look from Adrian was enough to scare him.

There are few people he was afraid of, but he have to he was most scared of then it would be his two brothers.

However, he also knew his two brothers would always have his back if he encounter anything like today how they defend him against those busybodies.

He knew about it immediately cause many busybodies and flatterers would inform him about anything related to him.

" Adrian, don't bully Hayden, he is younger than us," Lucas coldly scold.

" Hmm," Adrian happily obliged.

Despite being scolded he was happy that Lucas called his name.

Adrian sighs at his misfortune, once a time his brother Lucas would call his name all the time and now it was hard even to hear him(L) speak to him(Ad).

Soon the waiter served them their Lunch.

For the 4th and 3rd floor, there are waiters to take their orders as for the 2nd floor the quality of food is of equal to 3-star restaurant and for 1st floor the quality of food is equal to 2-star restaurant but both 2nd and 1st floor had to go and get their food themselves.

Hayden has ordered them as per their likes and was careful enough to omit what they dislike.

He has ordered himself a simple set of Indian lunch set of butter chicken and butter-garlic naan, as for Adrian he had ordered a chicken sandwich with a side salad of sweet peas and bell peppers with some cucumbers whereas for Lucas a chicken sandwich with a side salad of cucumbers only as well as his favourite chocolate pudding.

Lucas was starving since it was already 12:30 in the afternoon and he had breakfast at 7 in the morning so without looking carefully he grabbed the plate in front of him and began to eat.

Both Adrian and Hayden was startled.

" Brother Lucas has raw sweet peas and green bell peppers in it," Hayden cautiously looked at Lucas as he said that.

Lucas was dumbfounded for a sec then began to eat quietly as if he didn't notice the glaring green colours vegetables in the salad.

" Shi*t, how could I mistake my juicy fresh salad with this disgusting peas and peppers, Argh!," Lucas frustratedly curse himself of his stupidity in his mind.

From childhood to now, the one thing ok maybe two things he didn't like to eat were raw sweet peas and green bell peppers and like hell who even eat raw vegetables, they weren't cow or buffalo.

Lucas coldly look at Hayden to warn him then peek a glance at Adrian who was busy eating his own food, Lucas was relieved that Adrian didn't notice and was sad that he actually didn't notice.

But how could Adrian didn't notice Lucas's plate and be worried, he knew all of Lucas likes and dislikes like the back of his hand.

" What's wrong with these vegetables, you eat yours and don't look at my plate," Lucas emphasized his words so stubbornly that shut up Hayden made him eat his own food dejectedly while Adrian withdraw his hand which was about to pick those sweet peas and green bell peppers.

' Nowadays being thoughtful isn't good for yourself, brother Lucas is being stubborn' Hayden mutters and sigs helplessly by himself and eats his food.

While Hayden gave up trying to reason with Lucas, Lucas was cursing himself for being too prideful.

" They are only vegetables, not green monsters so be brave and eat it," Lucas encourages himself to eat.

If he left those it will only give others to make fun of him.

'Hayden and Adrian will surely think he was just a 'talk and no action kind of person' thinking that Lucas lifts some bell peppers and tried to eat them.

His eyes twitch in annoyance and irritation just from thinking to eat them but suddenly a hand come and stop him.

Lucas was happy but he didn't show it on his face, however, when he looked at the person who stop him he grimaced slightly.

" What?" Lucas annoyingly asked.

He had just made his mind to eat those green monsters very hardly.

" It's mine, give me my darling sweet peas and bell peppers, you eat your pudding," saying that Adrian switches his half-eaten plate with Lucas half-eaten plate then began to continue to eat leaving Lucas speechless.

" You....you.." Lucas couldn't get any words to scold Adrian as he was at fault.

" Who even like those things, I wouldn't even look at them," frustratedly pointed at Adrian, Lucas angrily stuffed his mouth with pudding.

Hayden was shocked to see always composed brother Lucas acting so childishly and from the look of it, brother Lucas himself didn't seem to notice it.

Then he looked at his brother Adrian and thought only this brother could make brother Lucas act stupid, clumsy, childish and many more of those.

' After all old habits die hard, for both of them it was normal to bicker,' Thinking that Hayden began to mind his own business.

" Yeah, I know for you they were green monsters," Adrian plainly stated making Lucas almost choke on his delicious pudding.

Lucas "Humph!" and began to focus on his pudding.
