House of The Dragon-The Beauty, The Bold, And The Black Dread

The Gods Are Cruel. The common saying in Westeros, which everyone says when an ironic and painful thing happens. While they are Cruel, they can be somewhat strange in their actions. They were strange for never letting Balerion, The Black Dread, to fully die. The old but extremely stubborn Dragon would spend decades merely on the verge of crossing to the other side, yet never doing so. He wouldn't let anyone claim him, neither, using his weak strength to snap at anyone who dared which prompted any keeper to let him be. Until one day, that is. Baelon Targaryen, son of Viserys I Targaryen and Aemma Arryn, was able to survive the wretched decision his Father made on that fateful day. Unfortunately for him; His Mother could not. This eventually led Viserys to remarry and have more children, as Fate would have it. And as Fate would also have it, Balerion would regain his Vigor on the fateful day of Baelon's birth. Almost as if the gods planned this, it would seem, Baelon and Balerion eventually crossed paths and the two of them bonded. (Slow Updates) (Cover is AI Art I did online.)

[A/N: Read my Novel : Cursed As a Dragon God

https://www.webnovel.com/book/30681650400196305

Last night, before sleeping, I thought of a cool but a bit far-fetched idea for a Fanfic. A crossover of House of The Dragon and my Novel...but I'd have to wait a bit to progress my Story until a point it feels appropriate. I just thought it would be cool for the protagonist to be placed in this world where Dragons are prominent considering he has Dragon Powers. Eh, who knows.

Also, we got this story to 20 chapters. Might place it on hold until I progress the other fics. And since my Monster Hunter grind is slowed down significantly, I can work on my stories a bit more than lately. I can do this until February 28 of next year; Monster Hunter Wilds comes out so I intend to sink into that.....]

(Baelon's POV)

"My Prince." Ser Criston said as he stepped aside

I nodded at him, "Ser Criston." I said as he opened the door to Helaena's chambers, "Know anything of what this is about?"

He shook his head, "No."

I raised my eyebrows, "Wish me luck then." I said with a slight chuckle and walked in

As I walked in there, I saw one of Mother's Handmaidens sitting next to Helaena, who was holding what looked like a butterfly in her hand.

She cleared her throat, "Princess." She said, "Prince Baelon is here."

"Okay." She said softly without looking up

I walked up to them, "Sister." I said placing my hands behind my back, "You called for me?"

"Mhm." She said as she looked at the insect, the wings slowly flapping as she gently ran her finger on it

I looked at the handmaiden, "Could you leave us for a bit?" I asked

She bowed slightly, "Of course, My Prince." She said as she walked past me

I glanced back to see when she closed the door behind me and as she did so, I let out a sigh and turned back to Helaena.

"You haven't spoken to me in a few days, Helaena." I said, "Have I done something wrong?"

"You looked so busy with the saddles for Balerion and Vhagar...." She said softly, "I did not wish to bother you."

I slowly walked over and sat next to her, trying not to startle the butterfly on her hand. It was pretty, had dark blue wings that matched the color of her dress.

"It's not a bother. I enjoy speaking with you, you know that." I said with a smile, "I did something, right? You can tell me."

Without looking up at me, she merely smiled awkwardly, "Father has been speaking." She said softly, "When your nameday passes, you will move to Dragonstone. The possibility of you taking me with you is high."

"Oh." I said, "Is that what bothers you? We can arrange something, have it so that you can stay here until I-"

"I'll go if I need to go." She cut me off abruptly

"Ah." I said as I slapped my lap with both laps and leaned back, "I see. There's something else to this, is there?"

"You're smart, aren't you?" She said softly

I narrowed my eyes and looked at her, "What's with this passive aggressiveness, Sister?" I said with a chuckle, "Is something the matter?"

She slowly placed the butterfly on the rim of the ceramic cup that was in the table in front of the couch, the insect calmly sitting there. She then looked at me with a serious expression, her eyes piercing me, unsettling me.

"Why are people saying such things?" She whispered

"What things?" I asked

"You....and Rhaenyra....." She asked

I closed my eyes and let out another sigh, "Helaena." I said, "Those are just rumors...I am sorry that you had to hear that. It is nothing but-"

"I know its not true." She cut me off once again, "I saw what happened."

I frowned, "Y-You saw it?"

I almost forgot; she's a Dreamer. But....how was she able to see that at that time? I don't understand. Oh well, as long as this doesn't make things awkward between us. Not like they weren't to begin with.

She nodded, "I saw it." She repeated, "But why must people speak as if they know the truth? Are they trying to hurt you? Hurt our Sister?"

I nodded, "Maybe." I said, "I don't understand it sometimes....political rubbish....but anyways.....y-you don't have a problem with what happened?"

She looked away, "It's not a problem." She said, "But....I don't wish to kick our sister out if we go there..."

I reached for her hand, "We won't." I told her, "I give you my word. Rhaenyra will always have a home at Dragonstone. Besides, it'll be fun! You, Me, and Her. We can fly around whenever we wish without Mother worrying about us. Also, our niece and nephews...but mostly us siblings."

She looked at me, "Is that all that you care about? You just want to be with us?"

I nodded, "I love you all." I said with a smile, "Rhaenyra is our sister, Helaena. I know you feel the same."

She nodded slowly, "Y-Yes. Please don't let them kick her out." She said

I patted her cheek, "Never." I said with a smile

She smiled slightly, "Thank you."

She reached for my hand, her soft hand making contact with mine. The moment I felt her touch, I nearly flinched out of nervousness, but I only grimaced. I don't know why, but I was caught off guard by this.

"I've been thinking." She said softly as she rubbed my hand with her thumb, giving me a sweet smile, "If it's not too much of a bother."

"Hm?" I asked

"Your hair." She said, "I had a Dream....you had short hair and wore armor similar to Grandfather's...You looked handsome....."

"O-Oh." I said while blinking, pulling my hand away slowly as she looked at me, "Handsome?"

I saw that her cheeks went red, "A-Ah...." She blushed and looked away, "I didn't mean to say it like that!"

I blinked again, a bit taken aback. She saw me in a Dream with short hair? Was it an actual Dream or one of the Dreams that Dreamers have? I....I am so confused right now. Is she suggesting I cut it because she liked the way I looked or is she saying that I end up cutting it short and that she likes the way I looked?

Either way, I felt my face get warmer.

"I....." I said while turning around to face ahead, "Ahem.....y-yea, my hair, huh? You'd like it if it were short?"

"I-It looked good..." she said softly

I glanced at her and saw that she was fidgeting with her fingers, her cheeks were bright red.

"I see....." I said as I reached for my hair, holding a strand of it with my fingers, "I've always wanted to cut it but Father keeps whining about it.....I find it to be high-maintenance. The Princess Rhaenys mentioned how her Father, Prince Aemon was like myself, a dignified prince with long hair. He was a strong warrior.....but I am not his grandson, am I? I'm Baelon The Brave's boy....."

"H-He had short hair....from what the portraits show...." Helaena said

"I..." I said as I looked at my hair, "I-If you want me to....."

"I'll cut it short, I suppose...."
