Haven

"Follow me," Asher said firmly yet softly. "We walked a few kilometres into this part of the forest."

The students followed closely behind Asher, their steps hesitant and cautious. They were in awe of the beauty of the forest, but also apprehensive about what lay ahead. The dense canopy overhead obscured the sky, and the thick vegetation on either side of the trail seemed to close in on them, creating a sense of claustrophobia.

As they walked deeper into the forest, the ground became uneven, and the roots of the trees jutted out, creating obstacles to navigate. Asher had been warned about the dangers of the forest, and unfamiliar sounds and shadows played tricks on their minds.

"I don't like this," Miri said holding her knife grip tightly, "this isn't exactly what you mentioned Asher!"

Asher nodded, "I know," gulping his saliva, "it's too quiet. I didn't even spot a single snake from the time we started walking."
