Luna vs Myne

Natsu, Luna, Happy and Elise were in the Oasis Town Tansui of the Salzar Desert. Hell Spawn's airship that was carrying the third magic nullifying tower had just landed so the four of them were heading over to the landing site to take out Hell Spawn's three guild members.

"Remember the plan: take them out stealthily." Luna said to Natsu who just chuckled and grinned mischievously in response.

"I mean it, Pinky." Luna said as she lightly punched Natsu on the shoulder. He rubbed the area Luna just hit autonomously.

"Okay, okay! I'll try just for you, Crystal." Natsu responded as Luna blushed. He grinned widely as Happy and Elise grabbed their respective dragon slayers and flew them towards the place the airship landed.

"You do realize that asking me to take these guys out quietly is like bringing a hand grenade to a stealth mission, right?" Natsu said, causing Luna to rethink her plan. Finally she came up with a new plan just as Elise and Happy dropped them off near the airship.

"Fine, I'll take down Myne with stealth. Natsu, you handle Scrap however you like, and we team up together for Frostus. Okay so here's the plan: first we'll split up and deal with Myne and Scrap. Happy will accompany Natsu and Elise will come with me as always. I'll handle Myne because she's most likely the one with the curse rune powers. Since the three of them have seen your magic Natsu, Myne probably placed anti-fire magic protection curse runes on herself and her guild mates. They don't know my magic type yet, so they won't have any protection against my attacks. And until I bring down Myne, you won't be able to do any damage to any of them anyways so don't go in guns blazing right away Natsu. Anyways, I want you to go find Scrap and stay hidden while keeping an eye on him until Elise lets you know I've dealt with Myne. Until then, don't make any moves on him. Once Elise gives you the okay, you can deal with him however you like. Elise, after you notify Natsu and Happy, come find me again and lead me to where Natsu and Happy are. Once Scrap is down, the four of us will look for Frostus. When we find him, we'll handle Frostus together." Luna explained the new plan to her team members.

"Alright! I'm all fired up now!" Natsu said as he connected his fist and palm together creating a small blaze.

"Remember Pinky, no attacking until Elise gives you the okay. That is key to our victory!" Luna reminded Natsu while giving him a stern look.

"Yeah, yeah, I got it. Don't you worry Crystal." Natsu said, grinning widely. Luna blushed a little, getting all flustered over Natsu again.

"Ju-just don't do anything stupid... a-and don't die!" Luna stuttered a bit as her blush became more apparent. Natsu just chuckled and the four of them entered the airship then split up into the teams Luna suggested. Luna and Elise snuck around looking for Myne. It wasn't long until Luna caught her scent along with someone else's. She was with Scrap. Luna could tell the other person was Scrap because his scent had the smell of metal to it, specifically iron. She and Elise crept forward, getting closer to their scents until they could hear voices and footsteps around the corner. They were heading in Luna's and Elise's direction. Unfortunately, they were in a narrow hallway with nowhere to hide. Luna had to think of something quick! She remembered that Frostus used ice curse powers. So she quickly made an ice barrier that blocked off the entire hallway and was thick enough so that Myne and Scrap couldn't see through it. And just in time too.

"Hold on a minute. Was this here before?" A woman asked. Her voice had a stuck up tone to it.

"I dunno. The boss probably put it up for some reason." A man's gruff voice replied to Myne. Silence followed for a little while until Myne spoke.

"I don't think Sir Frostus put this ice barrier up. I can't come up with any reason why he would set up an ice barrier here. Plus he didn't notify us that he was going to do so. Go find Sir Frostus and ask him what's going on. In the meantime, I'm going to inspect this barrier further." Myne told Scrap.

"On it, Lady Coranos!" Scrap responded as he walked away to go find Frostus. Luna and Elise could hear Myne pace back and forth near the ice barrier while Scrap's footsteps faded away in the distance.

"Hmm, now why would Sir Frostus put this barrier here? It's rather odd that he didn't tell us about it. This ice isn't nearly cold enough to be his either. Actually compared to Sir Frostus's ice, this ice is really weak." Myne thought out loud as she continued to pace back and forth. Luna's face turned red in anger.

'Weak?! You think my ice is weak?! I was raised by the Great Ice Dragon Queen, Prisma herself! Yeah it's true I'm not as powerful as her, but I'm still strong as hell!' Luna thought to herself as rage boiled up inside her. Luna didn't think particularly high of herself, but she did think very highly of her mother, Prisma. Her skills were passed down to Luna and she was entrusted with them. And that's why Luna was very defensive when it came to her dragon mother.

"But no one knows about our plan so there shouldn't be anyone trying to stop us. Wait a second, there were those two brats and their winged cats that we came across on that island. But Sir Frostus killed the girl with his curse ice beam, leaving only that fire boy alive unless..." Myne paused for a moment while she pieced everything together.

"There's only one way someone could stand a chance at surviving Sir Frostus's attack, although it's never happened before. They would have to be accustomed to extreme cold, but that alone wouldn't cut it. If they somehow managed to survive, they'd have to be thawed out to bring them out of a hypothermia induced coma. The temperature required to bring them back to consciousness would have to be extremely hot. That girl must have been an ice mage and that fire boy revived her. It's surprising that those brats possess that much power and resilience." Myne thought out loud.

"Well, it's time to shatter their hopes of ever stopping us. Little ice girl, I know you're on the other side of that barrier. Your weak ice won't stop us from executing our plan." Myne teased. It was at that moment that Luna snapped. She would not tolerate anyone calling her weak anymore. Luna was trained by the Great Ice Dragon Queen, Prisma, herself. By calling her weak, that would be insulting the Great Ice Dragon Queen too. She would not stand for anyone disrespecting her mother like that. Luna punched her ice barrier so hard that it exploded with an immense amount of force, sending Myne flying to the opposite end of the hallway. Ice shards had made deep cuts all over Myne's body and blood dripped onto the floor. However, Myne's wounds were closing up fast.

"Well that was a bit unexpected. Nice try though. I figured you may have still been alive and cast an ice damage absorption and healing curse rune on myself. I can cast curse runes on anyone or anything from just a thought. Any damage done to me by ice will heal completely at a very rapid pace. So you can hurt me all you want, but I'll only heal back up." Myne said as she laughed. The fact that she didn't put curse runes that made her invulnerable to ice, meant that she was looking down on Luna. This made her even more mad than she already was and she was showing it on her face. Suddenly Myne stopped laughing and gave Luna a wicked grin.

"Not only do I specialize in curse runes, I'm also a melee weapon expert and master!" Myne raised her voice as she darted at Luna with amazing speed, drawing out a long dagger. Elise quickly grabbed Luna and flew her out of the way just in time. Myne struck the wall right where Luna was a fraction of a second ago.

"You called my ice weak earlier!" Luna said sternly. Myne gave her a smug smirk.

"Yeah. And what of it little ice girl?" Myne admitted and taunted. This made Luna extremely mad, even more so than she already was.

"That is absolutely unacceptable! And I will not tolerate it!" Luna shouted back out of intense anger.

"Oh? And why is that?" Myne just laughed, waving her dagger back and forth. Luna formed ice blades from the top of her wrists.

"Because I was trained by the Great Ice Dragon Queen Prisma. And to call me weak is the same as calling her weak as well! And I will not let that slide!" Luna said as she charged at Myne with incredible speed of her own. She swung one of her ice blades at Myne's face, but Myne used her dagger to intercept Luna's attack.

"Well then, your Ice Dragon Queen must be pretty weak. How pathetic." Myne scoffed as she gave Luna a dark smirk before pushing her back away from her. Luna screamed out of rage and lunged at Myne and barraged her with a furry of slashes, some of which Myne blocked and dodged, but many of them hit their target. Luna was attacking Myne so intensely, she couldn't attack back and could only play defense. Like Myne said, her wounds healed ridiculously fast. However, blood still spilled from the wounds before they completely closed up. This was all part of Luna's plan.

"I'll admit, you're not bad at fighting. But why don't you just give up? You'll never be able to deal enough damage to even incapacitate me, much less kill me." Myne laughed as she intercepted Luna's ice blade with her dagger again.

"Ooh you're a bit tougher than I thought you'd be. I might need to take a little break." Luna said with hidden sarcasm as she leapt backwards to a large puddle of Myne's blood that had been building up for a while and knelt down beside it. She had been slashing at Myne so that the amount of blood spilled before the wounds closed accumulated on the floor. Luna suspected that Myne's ice damage absorption and healing curse rune most likely wouldn't work against frozen blood. It was a bit of a gamble, but it was her only chance of bringing Myne down.

"Foolish girl, there are no breaks in battle!" Myne said as she leapt into the air and aimed her dagger downward at Luna. But Luna froze Myne's blood into a long sword blade, moved to the side to avoid Myne's blade and stabbed Myne as she landed. Her blood sword went right through the chest, piercing her heart and stuck out from her back. Myne's dagger merely missed Luna.

"Never underestimate an ice dragon slayer trained by the Great Ice Dragon Queen!" Luna said firmly in Myne's ear before violently ripping the blood sword out from her chest. Her now lifeless body fell to the floor.

"Phew! Glad that's over with. Elise, go find Natsu and Happy and let them know Myne has been dealt with." Luna said to her exceed Elise.

"I thought you were going to take her down stealthily." Elise said, raising her eyebrow at Luna.

"Well plans can change." Luna said as she crossed her arms and pouted upwards to the side. Elise smiled and shook her head at Luna before taking off to go find Natsu and Happy.
