I'll Make You Regret

Luna had just defeated the curse rune wielding member of Hell Spawn Myne Coranos. She sent Elise off to go find Natsu and Happy to let them know they could start their fight with Scrap. Elise was quietly flying around looking for them when she heard her named whispered.

"Psst Elise! We're right here. We heard a big explosion from somewhere inside the airship. Is everything okay?" Happy asked as Elise flew over in the direction she heard Happy's voice. Natsu was right there with him.

"Is Crystal alright? Please tell me she's not hurt!" Natsu whispered anxiously as sweat started to drip from his face.

"Calm down Natsu, Luna is fine. She's the one who caused the explosion. I came here to tell you she defeated Myne Coranos. You can be assured she's okay." Elise told Natsu who sighed with relief.

"Anyways, have you found Scrap yet?" Elise asked Natsu and Happy.

"We were right on his scent trail, then we heard an explosion from somewhere inside the airship. Then his scent suddenly started getting fainter quickly." Natsu explained as Elise's eyes widened with worry.

"Luna might be in trouble! We've got to get to her quick!" Elise said frantically as she took off in the direction she came from, Natsu and Happy following close behind her. Meanwhile, Luna was waiting for Elise to come back when she heard rushed heavy footsteps head in her direction.

"Lady Coranos? Everything alright? Went to go find the boss like you said, but then I heard an explosion so I came back to check on you." Scrap's voice could be heard just around the corner.

"Shit!" Luna whispered under her breath. There was nowhere to hide in the hallway and all the doors nearby were locked shut. Scrap turned the corner and saw the bloody scene with Luna standing over Myne's lifeless body. A look of shock came onto Scrap's face which then turned into grief, then intense anger.

"You! What have you done to Lady Coranos?!" Scrap yelled at Luna who did her best not to show any fear.

"What does it look like I did to Myne? I killed her obviously. Was she supposed to be strong or something? If she was, then I must be more powerful than I thought. After all, I did survive Frostus's curse ice beam." Luna scoffed as she crossed her arms, trying her best to seem tough. But to be honest, she was a bit terrified. She was hoping to scare Scrap by reminding him that she had survived Frostus's attack which Myne mentioned no one had done before, and by saying that Myne was easy to defeat. Actually without Natsu, Luna would have died. And she hated to admit it, but Myne was a bit more of a hassle to deal with than she had expected. But unfortunately, her efforts to intimidate Scrap were futile. He was too overtaken by rage for that to work.

"I don't care how strong you think you are! You murdered Lady Coranos! I will make you pay for what you have done!" Scrap roared then charged at Luna. For a large burly guy, Scrap was incredibly fast. So fast, Luna didn't even have time to react. Scrap drew back his fist which he transformed into iron and landed it on Luna's forehead. She flew straight through the wall of the hallway, the wallpaper covered wood shattering from the impact. Luna landed against something metal, denting whatever it was. It must have been a console switch or something because she could hear and smell the electricity from the broken electronic. Amazingly the only injuries Luna received was a small scrape just a few inches below her blue guild mark caused by a sharp wooden piece of the wall and a cut right above her forehead. However, the hit she received was not minor. She sat up slowly, a bit disoriented due to the concussion. She was quite dizzy and her head was pounding. Her ears were ringing and her vision was blurry and time seemed to be going by in slow motion. All Luna could see was the silhouette of a bulky figure in the distance growing in size as Scrap closed in on her, ready to land the finishing blow.

"This must be it... I'm going to die here. Natsu... I'm so sorry. I love you Natsu. Natsu..." Luna thought to herself as she fell over to the side, her eyes closing as she started to lose consciousness. The last thing Luna saw before she blacked out was the large figure leaping into the air above her only to be slammed into by a huge fireball of multiple explosions.

~Natsu's POV~

Elise had asked me and Happy if we had found that Scrap guy yet and I explained to her that we were right on his scent trail until we heard an explosion. Then his scent seemed to get fainter rather rapidly. I saw Elise's eyes widen and a worried look washed over her face.

"Luna might be in trouble! We've got to get to her quick!" She said. A feeling a dread came over me as I realized what was going on. Elise described where Luna was and told us how to get there. The three of us immediately rushed over to Luna's last known location. I ended up getting way ahead of them. I was too worried about Luna, she was my mate after all. I arrived to where Elise said Luna was when she left to go find me and Happy only to find blood everywhere and that woman, whatever her name was, dead. Luna wasn't there but there was a huge hole in the wall. I started to fear the worst and ran through the hole outside the airship and my heart sank. I saw Luna a ways out, bleeding from her forehead with a small cut on her arm. She was barely able to sit up straight even though there was a battered control post with a big red button behind her. It looked like she was a little dazed. She was completely unable to fight back and defend herself as that Scrap guy charged at her. She then collapsed as Scrap leaped into the air to gain leverage for his final attack. I had to save her! I had to make this guy pay for what he did to Luna! I could feel my rage boiling over. My body heat was reaching extreme temperatures as I engulfed my entire body in flames.

"You will regret harming Luna! You will regret ever setting foot on Tenrou Island! You will regret taking part in the magic nullification plan! You will regret joining Hell Spawn! You will regret being born! I'll make you regret everything! You picked a fight with a member of Fairy Tail! And now you're gonna pay the consequences! Crimson Lotus: Fire Dragon's Fist!" I yelled as I took off with explosive speed at Scrap as my fists blazed with white hot flames, hotter than the fire around the rest of my body.

~End of Natsu's POV~

"Don't you dare touch my mate!" Natsu yelled as he explosively threw one fiery punch after another at Scrap, creating many explosions upon contact. His punches sent him flying right head first through the airship wall into a large boulder outside which shattered from the impact. There was a huge hole in the wall now, leading outside the airship. Scrap got up groggily from Natsu's attack. He had severe burns where Natsu's fists made contact with the left side his body.

"Ugh what the hell just happened? How did I end up over here? Tch! My head really hurts and the left side of my body feels like it's on fire." Scrap hissed in pain as he wobbled on his feet, one of his hands pressed against his forehead. Scrap wasn't actually on fire, but Natsu's flames were so hot that they left an intense burning sensation behind like he was.

"Damn, I can't really think straight. I remember I was about to kill that ice girl. But why was I even after her?" Scrap mumbled to himself as he sat down pondering it. It seemed like he had gotten amnesia from the concussion caused by Natsu forcefully sending him head first straight into a huge boulder. Sensing that the immediate danger was temporarily at bay, Natsu ran over to Luna to check up on her. He knelt down beside Luna to take a better look at her condition as she lay on her side unconscious. The wound on her forehead was still bleeding and there was a small laceration on her right arm a bit below her light blue Fairy Tail guild mark.

"Crystal wake up, wake up please!" Natsu said desperately as he gently shook Luna's shoulder. There was no response from her. He rolled her over on her back and placed his ear on her chest to listen to her heartbeat and breathing rate. Fortunately, her breathing and heart rate seemed normal. Natsu lifted his head up from Luna's chest as tears started to well up in his eyes. Seeing Luna in this state tore at his heart. Happy and Elise finally caught up to Natsu and approached the two of them. Elise ran over to Luna and started to sob, embracing her.

"Elise, she's not dead, only unconscious. I need you and Happy to look after her. There's something I need to take care of." Natsu said with a low serious and firm tone, a dark shadow covered his tear filled eyes as he stood up. A dark fiery aura enveloped his body. He was absolutely pissed.

"Natsu... just be careful okay?" Happy said as he accompanied Elise and Luna. Natsu didn't even look back at Happy.

"Yeah. Don't you worry about me. I'll make him regret being born." Natsu said as he ground his teeth and clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles went white. He walked off towards the disoriented Scrap as Happy watched him.

"Natsu..." Happy's sentence trailed off. Elise reached out her paw and gently grabbed Happy's paw.

"Have you ever seen him like this before?" Elise asked Happy as he just shook his head no.

"There's something not quite right about him right now. It's sinister and actually quite frightening." Elise mentioned as Happy just nodded his head in agreement. He had seen what happens when somebody really pisses Natsu off. But this was different, the fire dragon slayer had a much more intense and dark vibe coming off of him this time. This energy was unlike anything before, almost demonic. Meanwhile, Scrap was still sitting on the ground when a shadow loomed over him. He looked up to see Natsu literally burning with intense anger.

"You hurt my mate! And for that, I'll make you regret ever being born!" Natsu threatened as he glared darkly at Scrap. A tear escaped his left eye as he thought about Luna and the condition she was in. Scrap just looked up at him seeming a bit confused.

"Look man, I honestly can't really remember why I was attacking that ice girl in the first place." Scrap told the truth. The concussion Natsu gave him made him get minor amnesia. But Scrap's words were pretty much going in one ear and out the other.

"How would you like it if someone hurt your beloved?!" Natsu yelled, his flames burning even more intensely. Scrap's facial expression suddenly went from puzzled to angry as Natsu's sentence instantly jogged his memory. He remembered when he walked onto the bloody scene of Myne Coranos lying lifelessly on the floor with Luna standing next to her dead body.

"Like you're one to talk! My beloved is dead! And that ice girl is her murderer!" Scrap yelled back at Natsu, pointing in Luna's direction as he stood up with new found energy through rage. He towered over Natsu, but Natsu was unfazed by the large size difference between him and Scrap.

"That ice girl is my mate and I did what I had to do to protect her. Myne was already gone by the time you found them. You attacked Luna out of rage and vengeance, not for protection of your loved one. The fact is, you didn't even think for a second that the girl you were about to murder may be someone else's loved one! If you were to have actually succeeded in killing Luna, you'd be no better!" Natsu raised his voiec as his flames increased in size and temperature as his rage level rose up.

"Look I get it. Your loved one is gone, but killing my mate won't make it any better. I will not allow you to land another hit on Luna again!" Natsu said firmly. Scrap stood up, enraged upon realizing he was the one that prevented him from killing Luna.

"So it was you! You're the one who slammed into me right when I was about to avenge Lady Coranos!" Scrap roared as he transformed into his iron demon form and threw a heavy punch at Natsu's face, but Natsu caught his fist and increased the heat radiating from his hand, which made Scrap's metal fist glow a yellow-orange color and become malleable. Natsu's fingers started to melt into Scrap's fist as his grip tightened and his heat increased. Scrap yelled and hissed from immense pain from Natsu's heated grip. He tried to pull his fist away, but Natsu wasn't letting go.

"Seems like you didn't hear a word I said. Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Natsu yelled as he finally let go of Scrap's fist, while he engulfed his other hand with flames and threw a devastating, explosive punch straight into Scrap's gut. Natsu's punch forced him back several yards, his feet creating skid marks in the ground as he tried to stand his ground. Natsu bolted towards Scrap and leaped high up into the air, using his fire like rocket booster engines to gain leverage on his opponent. He then dive bombed Scrap, surrounding himself with brilliant flames.

"Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!" Natsu shouted with intense rage as he headbutted Scrap with a tremendous amount of force. Right before Natsu landed the hit, Scrap went into a blocking stance autonomously, but it was no use. The amount of strength Natsu put into that move combined with the momentum of his body was so destructive that the moment he landed it, the explosion shook the ground like an earthquake. The attack created a massive crater and shock wave that was so strong, it whipped up a temporary sandstorm. Luna, Happy, and Elise were far enough away that the crater didn't swallow them, but they were not out of the range of the shock wave. Happy and Elise used their bodies to shield Luna's face so that the sand whipped up by the wind caused by Natsu's attack didn't get into her eyes, nose or mouth. Natsu panted as he stood victorious.

"Two down, one to to go. And the last one will be the most difficult one of the three." Natsu said as he wiped the dirt off of his face with his arm. Happy and Elise watched for Natsu towards the edge of the crater. As the dust cloud cleared, Natsu's figure could be seen emerging from the crater's edge. Natsu walked towards Luna and the two exceeds while Luna began to stir. It was as if she sensed her mate approaching. She groaned as her eyes slowly fluttered open and she slowly began to sit up on her own.

"Luna! You're finally awake." Elise said with relief, wrapping her furry little arms around Luna's torso. Luna smiled and hugged her back. Natsu sighed and smiled with relief that his mate was finally awake, but he was still worried about her condition. They still had one more villain to take care of, the toughest one of the three Hell Spawn members: Frostus Mergard, the leader of the Hell Spawn dark guild.
