HoodWinked

What use was it having a knowledge that was useless to you? That was what Myra thought when she found out the truth about the world she lived in. Werewolves, Lycans and Paranormal creatures existed and she was one of them... Yet not one of them. She was born without a wolf side. So more or less she was human except for the slight difference. Little abilities that showed she was not a part of the human race, still... A werewolf without a pack and without a Wolf side? surely Fate has had her Hoodwinked. And that is not the end... Being Chased by bullies she seeks solitude in an abandoned mansion. Abandoned is what it's called but it surely wasn't unoccupied. Therein lies a stranger. Bounded in chains and kept in darkness, he makes a plea and in compassion she frees him from his chain but in return is bound in chains. Hoodwinked by fate she becomes his mate. What fate awaits her here on? More misfortune? How much worse could everything go? *** "A visitor? How delightful" A clear voice rang in from the darkness. Myra shivered and turned. The house was too dark that she couldn't see who has spoken. "who's there? What do you want?" "I should be one asking. You are trespassing" "I didn't mean to. i_i'm just seeking solitude. I'm sorry I'll leave" "Not so fast darling. You are here already, so you can as well help me" She raises a brow "Help you?" Only silence answered. What was she thinking? Talking with the darkness. Perhaps being chased by a few bullies sounded better than this, she should leave. She takes a step backwards but halts again. So much for being weakhearted. "First step into the light" She requested wanting to see who she was talking to. In a world were beasts exist, it wouldn't be so surprising if it ended up being a troll. Sounds of metal rattling echoed in the empty room then followed was the sound of footsteps. It wasn't a troll. it_it's a man. A very Handsome Man!

goose and mouse chase

History was about to repeat itself, in a most ugly way. She had no where to go this time. Was she perhaps supposed to live in the air till the Supreme Alpha leaves? Sigh! things were about to get thorny for her.

The Meeting continued and one thing led to one thing, they were at the point of grouping the pack into watch groups. It would be inadequate to leave the surveillance to only the pack warriors so the calm decided to construct smaller groups comprised of youths to go on periodical search.

Everyone began choosing members of Five based on their level of confidence. Myra turned to leave because she knew she was of no need at this junction. There was no way they would give her such an important task. No one would even want her in their team because they all though she was human.

"Myra join us" She suddenly heard a voice announce behind her.

Shock froze her steps and disbelief settled on her face as she made to turn around. Disbelief turned to uncertainty and reluctance. Monica was asking her to join her patrol group. Even if she would be given an award for doing that, she would in no way agree to such a bogus trap. This offer was akin to be given as sweet got potatoes laced with poison. One bit and the weeds on her grave would be taller than she already is.

She gave an awkward chuckled and pretended to be embarrassed "Miss Monica, it's of no use taking me along. I would just be a deadbeat beside I am not even a member of this pack"

Monica snorted secretly and walked forward "stop spouting nonsense. You have been our pack doctor for so long and everyone has seen what a great help you are. You are no less a member of this pack... also considering our future Alpha sees you in good graces" She confidently said whilst holding unto Myra's hands. Accepting this request was all she wanted Myra to do so she surely wasn't going tohave her reject it. For the sake of her plans, everything must go as planned.

Myra frowned and was ready to refute but Mr Casanova Neteham butted in.

"Myra go along with Monica, her team is made up of ladies and they could use the help of the pack doctor if any issue arises. Plus it could help you familiarize with the way we run things. Is that clear?" He said with his Alpha tone and a smug look, there was also that confident smile that Myra so wanted to slap off his face.

Familiarize his a**!

She wanted nothing to do with the pack okay?! Who does he think he is ordering her around? Her Alpha?.

She might be a Werewolf in hiding but she was different from the rest. The Alpha tone doesn't work on her, not even if it were his father who had given the order. So who did he think he was using that tone on her?

Even if she was enraged by his tone and order, she had no choice but to make a slight now and agree "Yes" The last thing she wanted was making an enemy with the whole pack, she wouldn't need to wait for the supreme alpha to come kill her cause they would all kill her by themselves.

Written on stone and stamped on the wind. It was decided then, she was going to accompany Monica and her group on the day of their Patrol. While she was brooding and grumbling within, Monica walked up to hher with a bubbling smile.

"My party is tonight. Why don't you come and we can talk over the mode of our operations. I would run you over th details at the party" This was not a request but an order cause she walked away immediately she spoke. Her minions whining their waist and following after her in pre-rehearsed footsteps.

Dragging back home in a Madden state, Myra spent the rest of the day imagining driving a silver stake through Monica's chest. A bit too much but she hated the fact she was being forced to do something she didn't want to do. No matter how enraged she was, she still had to roll out of bed few hours before five and get dressed.

It was not her party anyway, so she settled for a black bumshort and an oversized hoodie that stopped just below the bumshort she was putting on. A pair of sneakers to go with the dressing and her hair ties up in a professional ponytail. With her level of beauty she could be literally in a sweatpant and baggy top yet still look like a runway model like she was doing now. Makeup was not her thing so she saved the remaining couple of hours munching on cookies while she waited for her cousin who happened to be attending the same party with his friends.

Who knew boys could spend so long in dressing. It took over an hour before her cousin was done and then they had to wait for his friends to arrive before they left. By the time they got to the party the sky had lost it tinge of orange and was doning a new shade of black.

The dark woods was the only place that remained the orange skies of the evening sun set not because the sun hovered there but because there was a gigantic bonfire in the middle lightening up the sky in a maddened frenzy. The sounds of the woods breaking underneath the blazing fire was completely muffled by the stereo blasting off solid Rock tunes and the incessant yells from youths grinding their hormonic bodies in rhythm to the music.

Myra felt out of place. Seriously, she would chose to stay huddled up with Mr fuzzy her giant teddy bear and whilst watching Ready Player one for the millionth time, than coming here. This was all bullsh*t! An avenue youths and hormonal teenagers created to fiddled and experiment with possiblities out of their age range.

Her brother and his friends left to go find Neteham, she on the other hand, found a quiet spot to ping and press on her phone. The music had no effect on her since she had wisely come with earplugs. She inserted her earplugs and went ahead to doing her own things.

Few hours later, she felt hurried taps on her shoulders. Agitated she turned and prepared to glare at the person. Her gaze fell on Monica standing with her robotic minions and the glare she was planning actual surface and intensified.

Monica moved her lips, she could bet she had said something but the earplugs impaired her words. Myra sighed and slowly took out the earplugs.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"You came, what a surprise?" Monica said.

Myra rolled her eyes and ignored her surprised pretense. She practically threatened her to come and now she was acting all surprised and touched. What a mega drama queen.

"Skip the pleasantries. What do you want?" She went straight to asking. There must be a reason why this girl wanted her to come. She had been on guard all day and racked her brains for reasons why Monica was hell-bent on having her come along but nothing seemed to click. she was tired of the pretense, it was time this goose and mouse chase come to an end.
