Throwing in the Hag

With both her mother and sister out of the room, Kamryn's body began to shake.

She had been holding out for her mother's help. Seeing that hope go up in flames brought waves of despair into her heart.

Who can help me now?

Kamryn closed her eyes trying the fight back this depressing feeling. She hadn't expected it, but when she closed her eyes one person face popped up in the forefront of her mind. Mikaela.

Opening her eyes, she sat there thinking about it. The only other person I can turn to, would be Mikaela. Didn't we make a deal before everything went down. If I can make good on that deal, wouldn't Mikaela have to help me?

Yet, how can she think of completely her part of the deal when her mother is chasing after Thallan. 

She'll never give me the chest if she knows I want give it to Mikaela.

Kamryn stood up and left the drawing room. Her hope has renewed and it lies in the hands of her youngest sister.
