Honey, I Hate You: Married To A Beguiler

She will do anything to escape her death, including marrying the man that she detested the most. Dayton Katherine, who thought true love, and happiness prevails all things, was led to her doom by that thought. Marrying the man she truly loved was her dream, but it turned out to be a nightmare she never saw coming. On her wedding day, after she lost everything including her position, and wealth, she was murdered by the man she loved dearly. It turned out he deceived her, and made her know that what she thought existed was only a fantasy which deluded her. After being killed, she was granted a second chance– a chance to redeem her mistake. Katherine woke up a day before the day she died. Now, she is desperate to run away from her mysterious fate, but they are bound to happen. For her to escape the fate of dying on her wedding day, and being killed by the man she loved, she decided to marry Jaylen Eric. She wanted to believe all men weren't the same, but she was mistaken. She caught Eric kissing her cousin an hour before their wedding. She had no choice but to marry him in order to protect herself, she is bent on hating the beguiler she got married to. This time, she won't waver for this man, nor will she allow her mind to be clouded by thoughts that will delude her. What if he turns out to be the most supporting, caring, loving, and reliable person she ever met? What if his feelings were genuine towards her? What if he began to make her waver, and her life got endangered? Will she be able to cope with what lies ahead of her? Allow the pressure from her in–laws, cousin, and her fate swallow her? Or come out strong from it? Except; “Do you think you can keep hating me?” His question made Katherine turn to face him. She hesitated before she replied, “Yes, I will never waver for you, Honey.” A teasing smile playing on his lips, Eric took a few steps closer to her. “Wifey, do you think that wall of hatred won't melt down if I try seducing you?” Seeing the determination in his eyes, she can't help but laugh. “Try, and see.” (I will be updating two chapters per day except Sundays.)

Because I Hate You!

"You both kissed? Wow, I never expected the sick Katherine to be up for a kiss," Madam Quinn teased.

Both Katherine and Eric stared awkwardly at each other for a while, hoping Mr. Davis would not talk about the wedding night and sharing a room.

"A kiss? Will just a kiss bring me grandchildren?" His brow knotted as he asked. "You better do–"

"Fine, we will live together. As for the wedding night, we won't disappoint you," she was quick to cut Mr. Davis off. She knew if Mr. Davis kept being persistent, Eric might take advantage of that like he did before.

Mr. Davis smiled at his daughter-in-law's bravery before he spoke up, "I am going to trust you on that."

"Clara, go show Eric and his wife their new room," he ordered one of the maids. Without hesitating, the maid carried out his orders.

There was a long silence between the both of them after they arrived at their supposed room. The room was spacious, enough for four, but it felt as if they were asked to sleep inside a shoebox together. Even Eric, who had always wanted to share a room with her, felt miserable.

There was no way he could be spending every night in the same room with the woman who disliked him. To sum it up, her face was going to be the first thing he woke to see and the last thing he had see before going to bed– the thoughts of everything were indeed torturous.

"Honey, what are you thinking about?" She asked as she stared at him, doubting if he was happy about them sharing a room.

"How great it would be if we had our first baby in this room. Imagining our baby's voice and your sweet voice all over the room, made me feel lost and excited," he lied, a soft smile on his face.

Katherine's mouth went agape at Eric's unbelievable words. If they are going to have a baby, then they will defin…

"Oh no!" She mistakenly spoke. "Your words just gave me goosebumps. I can't believe you are already thinking of sleeping with me, jeez," she heaved a sigh frustratingly.

Eric laughed at her words. "Aren't we going to make our wedding night memorable? Don't you want us to have our child or did you just get married without thinking of having kids?" He questioned.

"Kids? I am not ready for one," she said and walked over to the couch opposite their couple-size bed. After drawing a line that divides the room into two, she warned. "Don't cross this boundary without my permission. We shouldn't cross over to each other's boundary without taking permission."

Eric's smile disappeared at the way she desperately wanted to have nothing to do with him. "Why are you doing all this? Because you hate me?" He questioned quietly.

She hesitated, her ocean blue eyes staring right into his. "Yes, I am doing this because I hate you. I can't give my body to the man who my sister already gave her body to. Also, I don't want to wake up next morning with my undies all over the place," she replied.

She did not wait for him to say anything before she walked to the closet. She knew this conversation would only lead to another boring moment and regretted ever starting it in the first place.

Left to his thoughts, Eric bit his lips at her words. What else can he do to prove to this woman that he loves her? Bring the world to her toe?– he doubts doing that will make her look at him with a lovely facial expression.

He did not bother to take off his clothes before he climbed the bed to sleep. He fell asleep shortly after his eyes were shut.

Katherine sneaked out of the room after she noticed Eric was asleep. She headed to the living room only to find Avery, her favorite actress and model.

Not only was she Avery's fan ever since she debuted as a child actress, but also dreamed of meeting her one day. Who would have thought she is the daughter of the Jaylen family?

She walked up to Avery with a faint smile on her face, hoping she was nothing like her mother.

"What are you looking for here? Aren't you supposed to be preparing for your wedding night?" Avery asked as if it is a culture they must practice.

Katherine scratched her head slowly until she came up with an excuse. "The day is still young, it is just past four," she replied.

Avery chuckled at her response before she stretched over her wristwatch to her. "Take a look at the time, will you?"

She exclaimed as she saw what time it was. "8:45? How was that possi–"

"Katherine, let's go," Eric's voice interrupted her before she could finish talking, followed by his forceful drag.

He did not allow her to say anything as he dragged her into their room. After they entered the room, Katherine forcefully pulled her hands away.

"Eric, what is this about? Why did you drag me like that? Do you want to injure me?" She asked angrily.

Eric roughed his jet-black hair, before he raised her chin to look at him. "Isn't this supposed to be our wedding night? If you can't do this, why then did you promise my father?"

"I never promised him, I only reassured him… Besides, are you expecting anything to happen between me and you tonight?" Even though the way he stared at her sent chills down her spine, she still summoned the courage to reply to him with questions.

"No. I can't expect anything from a selfish lady like you," he replied curtly.

"Then, why are you doing this to me? Why did you embarrass me in front of your sister?" She asked, her lips shivering as she stared at his eyes.

He forcefully let go of her chin and ran his hands through his hair. "I don't want you to be my weakness! Just keep pretending to be my wife even if I don't know why you got married to me when you love another man. Let's just not ruin things for each other, and make this hard for each other," he urged her.

"What is this supposed to mean? So you actually married me because you want to impress your father and win his favor?" She asked, feeling pained by that clear fact.

Eric chuckled dryly, taking this as a chance to let go of this unrequited love he was tormented by.

"Just the way you had your reasons for marrying me, i also had mine."

For some reason, she felt angry instead of being happy. At least it will be a win-win for the both of them; she escapes her fate, and Eric becomes Jaylen Group heir.

How is this chapter? what do you think of Avery? Katherine? and Eric?
