Chapter 3: Instant Itube Famous?

"Anyways I'm just going to upload this on ITube." Alexa shyly said as she immediately clicked the upload button.

 Ethan was strolling down the city, it was the same as his back on earth but with different brands of food and different names of some artists that he knew.

'Sometimes this feels as if I'm not in a parallel earth..' Ethan thought to himself.

As Ethan kept on strolling through New York he accidentally bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry! Are you alright?! Gosh, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to..." The obese old man said as he frantically said sorry. But as the old man looked up to see Ethan's tall build, he suddenly wore a shocked expression. "Hey! Aren't you that guy?!"

The man who was wearing a long white long-sleeve and a pair of pants with glasses on shouted which confused Ethan.

'Did he see me perform on Times Square yesterday?' Ethan thought seeing the panicking man.

"Oh, my were are my manners. I'm Noah Brooks, and here is my card.." Noah with his sweaty palms showed his card. He looked anxious and was trembling giving Ethan his card.

Ethan glanced at the card, turns out Noah is an agent. Ethan raised a smirk, though the man looked quite incompetent it didn't match the card he had. Ethan was already excited.

"Umm, I don't think this is an appropriate place to speak." Ethan with a façade of being uncomfortable said.

"Oh umm yes! I know a good coffee place, please follow me!" Noah with his quiet anxious smile led Ethan to a small coffee shop.

Ethan and Noah seated themselves.

"Umm as you can see I'm an agent. I came from Times Square waiting for you, but it seems like you didn't perform. But I'm really glad I bumped into you, guess my luck hasn't worn out." Noah with excitement said. 

"Oh I had other plans...but judging from what you said are you going to scout me?" Ethan asked.

"Y-Yes! I come from StarStruck entertainment company...Umm this is you right?" Noah turned on his phone and showed Ethan a video of him singing in Times Square. "Me and the others from the company saw your talent, that's why I'm here to scout you.."

'Exactly 10 million views? It hasn't even been 24 hours since it was uploaded.' Ethan was quite shocked seeing the number of views, although on this earth it is exactly 2007, but the power of social media was already at its peak.

"Umm I know this offer is quite sudden, but if you join our company we will give you the best service of all! But I won't force you.." Noah solemnly said.

"Thank you, but can you give me a few more days to think this through?" Ethan asked. Though he wanted to goddamn sign the contract immediately, after seeing the views and him becoming an ITube star, he weighed the cons and pros.

Not only that, he hadn't heard of a company called StarStruck, and from judging Noah's begging tone, Ethan was sure that the company was a new one. Probably a company that has 0 artists.

"Oh, of course, you can contact me anytime!" Noah was despondent as he gave the card.

"Thank you." Ethan put the card on his wallet and he bid farewell to Noah.

As soon as Ethan came home, he checked ITube immediately. He found that his video had now garnered over 12 million views. Over 500k comments were praising his song and abilities.

There are many pros and cons if Ethan signs the contract. First of all the Pros, though from his research that the StarStruck company is a new one, but once Ethan begins creating singles and earning money for the company, it will naturally improve.

And if there were ever a scandal or some miscellaneous stuff, the company would help him in many ways, the only con was the royalty rate. 

But once Ethan chooses to become an independent singer, then there are many pros, such as free will, and all the profits would go to him. But means there would be hundreds of scandals and even other artists trying to pin him down.

"Well, becoming a singer is my first goal. Besides from what I saw, Noah wasn't the kind to rip off his artists." Ethan thought as he turned on his phone.

"So did he give us a call?" Henry Reid, their sound technician asked.

"No.." Rachel Spencer, their Graphic Designer replied.

"I don't think he's going to agree, we are an unknown and new company so it's kind of understandable. Besides he's practically famous on YouTube, I bet other companies are sending him emails to scout him." Ryan Gardner their promoter commented.

"Yeah, this would crush Noah." Amanda Barker, their Event coordinator solemnly said.

"Someone has to go and tell Noah, he's been sitting on the sofa staring blankly at his phone." Peter Johnson their accountant sighed and pointed at their boss Noah.

The six of them were high school friends, but they all shared one thing: It was their love for music, all of them grew apart as they all went to different universities but after some troubles, they were all once again reunited.

Noah had planned to create a music entertainment company, and of course, as the six of them were in love with music and had troubles with their jobs they decided to risk it all.

It had already been five months after they all decided to create a music entertainment company. They bought a small building with their savings and renovated it. A week ago they started scouting for talents.

Their director Noah also became a music agent. But alas, one week had already passed even with all of their joint efforts trying to scout talents it was inevitable.

It had only been a week, but the once muscular Noah became an obese man due to stress and anxiety. They did try to ease Noah, but ultimately the stress was too much, and eventually, Noah became a fatass.

After much deliberation, Henry who was the closest to Noah was the one who had to ease the tense Noah.

"Hey, bud...Umm, I'm sure you're stressed right now. So why don't we put down the phone a bit and talk ya know?" Henry warmly asked while trying to take Noah's phone away.
