Chapter- 62: Jurassic Park Premiere [2]

As the screen flickered to life, the first thing to capture the audience's attention was the majestic logo of FC Columbia. The stunning statue of Columbia, holding her torch high, radiated an otherworldly glow that left shimmering wings in her wake. And emblazoned on the side of the stand she stood upon, in bold letters, was the name Feather Columbia Pictures.

But the spectacle didn't end there. With a seamless transition, the screen revealed the title of the film, signaling the start of a thrilling show. The anticipation in the air was palpable as the audience settled in for what promised to be an unforgettable experience. The stage was set, the players were in place, and the drama was about to unfold. Let the show begin.

The film captivated the audience right from the start with a thrilling and fast-paced sequence of an accident, leaving them on the edge of their seats. The mere mention of the presence of dinosaurs without showing them only added to the suspense and excitement.

For the next 15 minutes, the movie took a medium pace, introducing the main characters, foreshadowing events, and teasing the audience with glimpses of the prehistoric creatures. The relaxed pace put the audience at ease, and the theater was filled with whispers and murmurs.

But when the dinosaurs finally appeared on screen, the entire audience was left in awe, just like the actors on screen. The famous tone of Jurassic Park played as the audience watched in amazement, from the Brachiosaurus munching on leaves to the herd of different dinosaurs grazing by the river.

Even paleontologist Alan Grant and paleobotanist Ellie Sattler's reactions to John Hammond's comment about having a T-rex elicited laughter from the audience. However, the defining moment was when Hammond welcomed everyone to Jurassic Park, and the audience let out a small cheer of wooos and ahhhs.

The film maintains a steady pace as the audience follows Grant and Sattler, accompanied by two other characters: the equally eccentric chaos theorist Dr. Ian Malcolm and the lawyer Donald Gennaro, who represents Hammond's investors, and Hammond himself, as they journey to the central resort and control facility on the island. Here, they are given a brief tour of the process by which the animals were created. InGen has achieved the remarkable feat of cloning animals from simple strands of DNA salvaged from mosquitoes that fed on dinosaurs and were preserved for millions of years inside fossilized amber.

The group is shown the egg-incubation room, where they witness the birth of a Velociraptor, to the delight of many audiences thanks to Steven Spielberg's well-crafted shot. However, the sight of the birth deeply disturbs Grant, as he understands the implications of a Velociraptor being brought to life

As the movie progresses, the setting shifts to the highly secured containment facility that was previously introduced. Grant finds himself in the midst of a daily feeding ritual where a hapless cow is lowered into a pit, only to be devoured within moments by the ferocious beasts. The audience is spared the gruesome sight of the carnage thanks to the thick covering of jungle foliage.

The scene is nothing short of bone-chilling, as the audience can sense the impending danger lurking around the corner. Yet, with a morbid fascination and an insatiable thirst for excitement, they remain glued to the screen, eagerly awaiting what's to come.

The scene opens with the group enjoying a leisurely lunch, engaging in a heated discussion about the moral and ethical implications of the park's existence. They ponder the consequences of resurrecting the long-extinct dinosaurs and the potential dangers that come with it. As they wrap up their conversation, the group eagerly prepares to embark on the park's main attraction - a thrilling safari-like tour on electrified Ford Explorers.

Accompanied by Hammond's grandchildren, Lex and Tim, the group sets off on their adventure. Meanwhile, Hammond takes his place in the control room, where his two computer experts, Arnold and Nedry, manage the complex infrastructure of the park.

As the tour progresses, the group eagerly anticipates encountering the park's most dangerous predators, the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Dilophosaurus. However, to their disappointment, the carnivores remain elusive and refuse to reveal themselves to the eager tourists.

Next, they stumble upon a sick triceratops. The majestic creature is tended to by the park's veterinarians. The audience is left in awe as they witness the tender moment between the visitors and the ailing triceratops. This is where the group breaks up as Sattler leaves the group to assist with the animal's care.

The film takes a dramatic turn as a tropical storm approaches, forcing the tour to be cut short and most of the staff to leave by ship for the mainland. Amidst the chaos, the audience witnesses the treacherous actions of Nedry, who has been hired by InGen's rival corporation, BioSyn, to steal dinosaur embryos. His malicious plan to shut down the park's security systems not only releases the dinosaurs from their containment but also causes the tour's electric cars to break down and the electrified fences to shut down.

As the visitors become stranded at the T-Rex paddock, the film reaches its most thrilling and terrifying sequence. The audience watches in horror as the T-Rex escapes its enclosure and wreaks havoc on the tour vehicles. The theater falls silent as Gennaro is devoured and Malcolm is critically injured. However, hope is not lost as Grant manages to escape with the terrified children.

This heart-pumping sequence sets the tone for the rest of the movie, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats. The second phase of the film comes to a gruesome end with the demise of Nedry at the hands of a Dilophosaurus.

The third sequence commences with Satler and Mudloon arriving at the attack site. The spectators held their breath as they stumbled upon an injured Malcom and a half-eaten Gennaro. Suddenly, the T-Rex reappears, and the film delivers its first action-packed sequence as the Jeep races down the road in a thrilling car chase. The viewers are left on the edge of their seats, experiencing both horror and excitement.

After a narrow escape, the humans make it back to the base, while Garnt and the kids seek refuge under a colossal tree. The phase concludes with Grant and the kids waking up to a Brachiosaurus grazing nearby. Initially frightened, Lex finds comfort in Grant's reassurance that these creatures are peaceful herbivores. Grant reminds the audience that dinosaurs are not monsters, but rather, they are just animals. Once again, the audience is given the opportunity to appreciate the beauty and majesty of these magnificent creatures.

The final phase of the film had arrived, and it was time for the people back at the base to take drastic action to reboot the entire system and fix the damage caused by Nedry's sabotage. However, this act had an unintended consequence that would send shivers down the spine of even the bravest of souls. The vicious velociraptors were freed from their enclosure, and chaos ensued.

As the audience watched with bated breath, Setler heroically brought the power back up and managed to escape the raptors. However, the price of this victory was high, as Arnold and Mudloon lost their lives in the process.

Meanwhile, Garnts and the kids were forced to escape the enclosure by climbing out of an electric fence, all while witnessing a stampede of ostrich-like dinosaurs known as Gallimimus. Although Grant and the girl made it to safety, the boy was electrocuted when the power surged back on.

Thankfully, Grant was able to save the boy, and they all made their way back to the main resort complex, only to find it eerily abandoned.

As Grant left the kids in the dining area to search for others, the most terrifying sequence of the film unfolded. Lex and Tim found themselves cornered by a pair of raptors inside the main kitchen, and the audience was left on the edge of their seats as the reptiles stalked them through the dark and foreboding space.

But they eventually lock one in the freezer before returning with Garnt and Setler. But they left soon as other reptors gave them a chase. This begins the film's thrilling chase sequence as the raptors chase the humans while they bring back community online.

Eventually, they were cornered by the last two raptors inside the main atrium. Just as all hope is lost, the T-Rex comes crashing in and attacks the raptors, buying enough time for the small group of humans to escape.

As the humans evacuate the island by helicopter, the T-Rex gives a final victory roar behind a falling banner proclaiming, "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth."

The audience was absolutely floored as they watched the final T-rex scene unfold before their very eyes. Gasps and whispers filled the room as everyone tried to process what they had just witnessed. But then, as if on cue, the entire crowd erupted into a thunderous round of applause and cheers that lasted for a full five minutes. It was a standing ovation that shook the very foundations of the theater.

As the main cast took their bows, Steven stepped forward to thank the audience for their incredible support.

Meanwhile, Ric sat in his seat, staring at the screen with awe. The realization of being part of history in the making overwhelmed him. He had always known that he would leave a mark on history, but in this moment, he felt it. He felt the weight of his achievements to this date, and the intensity of the feeling was so overwhelming that he didn't even realize he was crying. It was only when Drew hugged him that he came to his senses. After giving her a kiss on the head, Ric made a beeline towards Steven and gave his godfather an emotional bear hug. In that moment, he pledged himself to leave behind a huge and everlasting legacy.
