Hollywood Creed: 1st Draft

Before [Alexander Creed: Re-life] there was this story. I give you... 70s Alexander Creed... An inspiration and version before Alexander Creed of [Alexander Creed: Re-Life] became what he is! It's going to be crazy, whacky, offensive, and just plain trashy. Welcome to Hollywood Creed: 1st Draft! ------ This is a work of trashy fiction before my other trashy fictions... so don't bash my trashy work too much. Also, this is just a fictionalization of things for entertainment and just sharing for free. Hope I don't get much trouble for it and hope I don't get sued or whatever.

Sheinberg and Wasserman

While Esmond Walker is not set to be the main power of Disney before the next year, his intentions were enough to reflect what the Walt Disney Company has in mind.

Although they needed the forward-thinking of Michael Eisner to move up the ranks, it cannot be denied that they long had plans to do so.

Buying their way into the MPAA and a lot of strategically successful films is what is stopping them from becoming a true contender in the film industry.

Cosmic Pictures emergence seems to convey to them that they have a comrade in arms to fight the battle they are to face.

While the Creeds are still reeling on how they should interact with the princess-making and kid-oriented film company, not the same could be said for the other companies.

Sidney Sheinberg and Lew Wasserman were particular in their distaste and unamicability when having their unannounced set visit.

This duo was only a day later than the Card guy in barging shamelessly! They are also in somewhat of a mentor-student relationship that was going strong for the development of Universal.

These two were said to have transformed the television-centric Universal into a major player in Hollywood. Not that it mattered as Universal's deep-rooted and early step into the industry has always set its continuation in stone.

"Mr. Mark Creed. I don't like you!" The Sidney guy outrighted-ly said as his efforts were the most affected by the Kid Psychic disturbance.

Sheinberg is credited with discovering the recently acclaimed director - Steven Spielberg.

He had seen Spielberg's first short film, Amblin, and signed the director, then 20, to a 7-year contract to the MCA/Universal Television in 1968. Sheinberg apparently told Spielberg, a lot of people will stick with you in success; I'll stick with you in failure.

During pre-production, Jaws was always on thin ice. Sheinberg attached Spielberg to the project and despite many headwinds, pushed for the picture to be released. He even hired his wife to appear in the film.

When 1975's Jaws ran over budget, Sheinberg had Spielberg's back.

What skeptics dismissed as an overpriced B-movie became a shark thriller classic that defined the new summer and blockbuster genre.

It would have grossed nearly half a billion dollars but a certain Cosmic film just had to disrupt its rhythm.

While Jaws is on its 30 million box office, Kid Psychic being superior in every way had already doubled that amount!

It can be justified how the man finds the Cosmic director quite abhorrent. Even though Jaws was already a success, the man still had the feeling that his true success was unceremoniously stolen.

While Mark doesn't quite know how to process the man's dislike for him, Lew Wasserman was there to disperse the awkwardness.

"Now... now, Sid! Let us play nice!" Lew appeased and looked towards Mark with a smile. "Hello, Director Creed! Hope you don't find our visit quite displeasing."

"Hello to you as well, Mr. Wasserman." Mark was really helpless at these entitled people coming and going as they pleased. "I'd say that this visit of yours is quite rude but since you guys aren't the first to do it, all I can say is: to what do I owe the pleasure?!"

"We're not the first you say..." The mogul hummed in thought. "...interesting! It must be one of the others. Nevertheless, we are here for our own interests and not their's."

"What do those interests have to do with us, Mr. Wasserman?" Mark was not one to show aggression but he really had to step up at these moments before these kinds of people get out of hand.

"We mean no harm at all. We are just here to remind you that your so-called company better not step in the interest of certain people... or else!" Lew still had a smile on his face but his words were laced with a hint of threat.

Alexander, not far from the side, inwardly palmed himself from the movie-esque cliche that the man is saying.

The boy thought that since this was real life, things wouldn't go as dramatic as this. His thoughts were wrong and this old Lew's exposure to so many films must have skewed his realistic mentality.

The choreographed Sidney followed suit with an additional quip. "Given that your Kid Psychic trilogy is likely to be a winner at the box office, congratulations on that but don't be too conceited when it comes to other aspects of Hollywood!"

"Huh..." Mark had his brows furrowed at the somewhat cryptic connotations of the Universal executive. "Care to explain? I don't really follow what you mean."

Mr. Sheinberg seemed to have found something to vent his frustrations and gave his opposition a smug smile. "You'll know at the moment when you find out that your efforts aren't rewarded at all!"

"You can kiss goodbye to the best film, best director, and whatever screenplay awards you are expecting. Feel frustrated at the fact that your efforts won't amount to anything at all." Sidney was practically sure that this man in front of him would suffer the same frustrations he had with Jaws.

His old guru was someone to assist his student, so he added on like a Team Rocket crime intro. "You can be sure that everything that Cosmic Pictures has will not gain positive reception from critics and even the academy itself. It's not just my guarantee that will make sure of this, there are also others that have the same idea as me."

"Of course, that would change until your Cosmic Pictures doesn't cross the interest of true giants like us." The media mogul Lasserman still had his smile but the animosity need not be separated from his words anymore. "So, Mark... is it? I hope your Cosmic company stops showing off too much or maybe you can even be bought under our banner. It is your choice! Haha! What say you?!"

This Lew Wasserman would not be dubbed as the last of the legendary moguls for no reason at all. His threat and business methods were too thuggishly 1910s and cringy but it may have worked for him.

He is arguably the most powerful and influential Hollywood titan in the four decades after World War II, after all!

Too bad, his methods may not work on the Creeds!

This is just going to be plain horrendous, silly, and more disgusting than my main trashy work.

You've been warned!
