Prologue

REED ABRAHAM

It's been an hour since i got here and it never failed me to smile and rest for a while.

Staying in the beach became a habit of mine, after class i go straight up here and spend the rest of my day and keep admiring the sun from a far.

While scanning the shore i saw a girl sitting five meters away from me, i stare at her boring brown eyes as her elbow length hair sweep behind her and her pale skin. I look at her clothes, is that an apron?

"tinitingin mo?" i just glared at her, "andito ka din para mag pahangin?" is she trying to get close with me? umiling ako bilang pagsagot.

"eh ano?" i didn't manage to answer, "pipi ka ba?" sinamaan ko ito ng tingin at tsaka tumayo, "every people have their own reason why they're here and no matter what your reason is, it's valid."

what is she trying to say..

I look at her as she stand up, "so tell me stranger, why are you here?" we both face the ocean as we let the waves touch our feet, "cause i want to," i heard her little chuckle then i didn't realize a smile suddenly carved into my lips while still looking at the sea.

Her laugh made me feel safe somehow. I saw her in my peripheral vision that she faced me so i look at her, "tam," ani nito at saka nya iniabot ang kamang kamay nya. I was about to shake her hand nang may tumawag sakanya, "tam si boss!" napalingon kaming dalawa ngunit ibinalik ko din sakanya ang tingin ko, her face was covering by some of her hair pero agad nya din nilagay ang ilang hibla sa likod ng kanyang tenga, "mauna na ako ha, bye!" at saka itong tumakbo papalayo.

For the first time, i smiled together with a person. How great to end the day.
