It's Too Hard for Me!

Éditeur: Atlas Studios

After a long day of lessons and more than half a day of potion-making, Ivan returned to his dormitory exhausted.

Harry and Ron were leisurely flying the wizarding flag in their room, which was how carefree life was for thirteen or fourteen years old.

Ivan looked at them with envy, then looked away at Scabbers, who was eating a Flavoured Bean.

Scabbers shuddered under Ivan's "evil" gaze. He had not forgotten Ivan's words about experimenting with his potions.

'No, I can't stay here any longer.'

He was leaving tonight!

At midnight, a grey rat in Gryffindor's dormitory suddenly opened its eyes. It glanced around cautiously and was relieved to see that everyone was asleep.

Scabbers then slowly crawled off Ron's bed on his short legs, but he was so fat that he had a hard time getting off the bed and almost rolled all the way off.

When they finally reached the dormitory door, Peter looked at the door handle and was in a difficult position. He wondered if he should change back to his original appearance. The young wizards in the dormitory should be sleeping soundly and not suddenly wake up…

Just by taking this step, he would be able to distance himself from his current life of idleness…

Peter suddenly felt that it was too difficult for him!

I can't even be a mouse these days. There are always people who want to make things difficult for me…

Peter cast a dark glance in the direction of Ivan's bed. Before meeting Ivan, his disguise as a rat had been a success for over a decade…

He would have killed Ivan if he hadn't been worried about exposing himself by causing a scene at Hogwarts…

Some thoughts passed through Peter's mind, but he soon realised that Ivan's bed was empty and the blanket seemed to be shrivelling…

'Where is he?'

A chill went down Peter's spine as a deep voice sounded behind him.

"Great, I was just trying to figure out how to get you out of Ron's bed…"

Peter's head snapped around, but all he saw was a blinding magical light, and then he realized that he had lost all strength, as if he had not eaten for days.

Peter watched in horror as Ivan approached, then felt his tail being lifted and he could only move his paws weakly.

Crack …

Ivan opened the door to his room and carried the grey rat out of the room, towards the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor.

Peter struggled for a while, but when he realized that it was useless, he gave up on the idea of struggling and obediently stayed in Ivan's hand, looking around nervously, wondering where this young wizard was taking him at this late hour…

After walking up and down the wide corridor with the many portraits on the eighth floor three times, Ivan muttered to himself.

I need a room for brewing potions!

The next moment, a beautifully decorated door appeared out of thin air on the flat wall. Ivan opened the door with ease and entered the Room of Requirement.

Peter's eyes widened. Behind the door was a large space that looked a little like a Potions classroom. Each rectangular mahogany table had a cauldron, and it was boiling some sort of potion. Steam was coming out of the cauldron…

During his time as a student, he often explored the ancient castle with James, Lupin, and the others in search of its secrets. Peter thought he knew enough about the castle to know that there was something magical about it that they had never discovered before.

Ivan casually threw Peter into a corner and left him there to check on the potion brewing.

In any case, when he finally left, he would use the Memory Charm to erase Peter's memory and make him forget all about it.

Unbeknownst to Peter, he had no secrets from Ivan, and was still hoping that no one would be able to see through his Animagus.

Peter consoled himself with the thought that

Suddenly, there was a noise in the silence of the Room of Requirement.

Peter turned his head and saw that one of the crucibles had burst open. The murky liquid spilled onto the wooden table and burned a large hole in it like acid.

Peter saw this and swallowed hard, tears threatening to fall…

He thought he might not live through the day…

"As expected, adding the blackstone powder Polyjuice Potion turns it into a deadly poison." Ivan was not surprised when the cauldron suddenly exploded.

This confirmed what Snape had told him earlier, except that the potions had been brewing for days and he had not had time to remove them.

Ivan went to each cauldron to check on the brewing of the potion, then placed the finished potions in batches and turned to the grey rat in the corner.

Peter was shocked. He tried to curl up to make himself less visible, but it was useless.

As Ivan drew closer, Peter had the sudden inspiration to let out a shrill scream, and his body suddenly began to convulse violently. Finally, his legs gave way, and he began foaming at the mouth, as if he were seriously ill, his head lolling as he fell to the ground…

He felt that since he was already in such a miserable state, the young wizard in front of him would not abuse him anymore.

Ivan was amazed at Peter's superb acting skills. He certainly knew Peter's physical condition. He ate and slept every day. He had been a mouse for more than ten years without illness or pain. How could he be sick now?

Besides, even if he was really sick, it wouldn't stop him from drinking Polyjuice Potion, right?

Ivan took a few steps closer and used his wand to stare at the grayish-black rat's head. His magic seeped into the rat's head and he "saw" the power that surrounded Scabbers's head to protect it. He then increased the amount of magic he was pouring into the rat.

Ivan was an Animagus himself, so he knew exactly how to force Peter back into his true form.

Soon, the grayish-black rat began to shake again, more violently than before…

Peter, pretending to be dead on the floor, was devastated.

To Peter's horror, his body began to twist and change shape, his arms and legs stretching outwards, his head growing larger and larger…

Peter vaguely remembers this feeling after more than ten years, which means his Animagus has been lifted…
