Lia pov..
The whole place became silent when I said that, and as I gazed at her slowly, I wanted her to see that no matter what, I would turn her life upside down.
The more we stared, the more she suddenly started smiling, making me wonder what was so funny.
"You are right, I am an omega, but not just any omega, but a strong one to bring down a pack with just one command. And what about you? I thought you are a Luna, but the only power I see is nothing but a talking pig who doesn't know her place."
I felt angry, and just as I was about to move, her wolf stopped me as I looked at her.
"Don't forget, this is the Crimson Pack, and I don't know what your plan is, but I will just let you know that my eyes are on you."
I looked angry and turned away. I could not believe that I was insulted like that. Who does she think she is? I will teach her a lesson.
"You need to relax, Lia. This is not the time to get angry, but the time for us to teach her a lesson."
I walk toward the back of the grand hall and let out the scream that I have been holding deep inside for a long time. I could not believe that fool insulted me.
"She is just an omega and hasn't reached the level of an Alpha yet. Somehow, she ended up becoming the Alpha. I don't know, but I feel that there is something fishy there. I need to find out."
I look back at the party going on inside, and I see how happy Drake is with that girl who calls herself Alpha. Just knowing her name keeps reminding me of the reality. What a waste to have such a loser close to me.
I walk back into the castle and take my seat close to Drake. I notice how she looks at me and also notice that she doesn't have a partner. I hold Drake's hands, and even though he secretly tries to pull away, I hold him tight. I smile at him and see how angry he is.
"Alpha Emily, if I may ask, where is your mate? By the looks of things, it seems like you only came with your beta and also with your guards and that little brat you called a son. Will your mate be coming soon?"
She stops eating and looks at me, smiling.
"Well, my mate is dead, and I don't think he will be coming soon, so don't worry too much, okay?"
I look at her and chuckle, then decide to speak again.
"It's so pitiful that you lost your mate when you have only your son. What a pity."
I laugh as I pull my hands away from Drake, and just as I was about to eat, she interjected.
"You talk about me not having a mate and you pity me because I told you my mate is dead. Well, I am happy to see you care. But what about you? There is nothing different between the two of us, except that I am way better than you."
I look at her when she said that, and I wonder what she means by that.
"And what is that supposed to mean?" I ask her, confused, and all she does is smirk at me.
"I do not have a mate, but you don't have a child. And I am an Alpha, which we all know is the highest rank, even greater than a low Luna like you."
I hit the table as I stand up and look at her.
"Are you making fun of me or what?"
I watch as she takes a sip of water, stands up, and then stares at me.
"You are really something, and just looking at you makes me sick."
I laughed at her funny jokes, and just as I was about to slap her, only to be stopped and for her to push my hands away.
"I see by the look of things, we are not welcome here."
As she tried to go, Drake held her hands and stopped her, and as Drake stood up, he looked at me, and before I knew it, he dealt a slap on my face.
"She is the Alpha of the Lycan Pack. Go down on your knees and ask for forgiveness."
I looked at him. Was he being serious? Right now, I should go on my knees? Why, I am not a kid, and I think he must be joking if he thinks I will go on my knees for this fool here.
"I cannot believe you slapped me in front of everyone. I see you are the most foolish Alpha I have ever encountered. Take heed, Drake, you should be careful about what you do because you might end up regretting it."
I walked away with anger as I left the hall. He really slapped me because of that fool who called herself an Alpha.
"I told you we should teach her a lesson. You should have poured the food on the table on her instead. You let all this happen to you."
Listening to my wolf was not what I was feeling right now. I was angry, and I wished to teach both of them a lesson. I will make sure she regrets stepping her foot into the pack.
I stormed into my room, seething with anger. Sitting on my bed, I grabbed a pillow and hurled it to the floor. I was furious. I wished I could make them pay. I would teach them a lesson they would never forget, and I wished I could eliminate the one who brought her here.
I marched over to my mirror, staring at my reflection with rage burning in my eyes. With a clenched fist, I shattered the mirror.
"No one talks to me like that and gets away with it. I will make every single one of them pay with their lives, I promise…"
