chapter 8

Lia pov…

"How could you? What do you think you are doing, bowing to a lady? Do you know how disgraceful it is for the Crimson Pack?"

I was angry and raised my voice to make sure he understood every detail I was saying. I couldn't believe that the Alpha of the Crimson Pack would bow to a lady just to seek peace.

"You don't have the right to interfere in my personal matters. I believe this discussion is over."

I stared at him, and he looked out the window as if he wasn't listening. I chuckled at his response and walked a bit closer to him to speak.

"Calling this a personal matter doesn't seem accurate; it appears more like a public issue. You should have made her bow instead, but you chose to disgrace our pack. What do you think you're doing?"

He stood up, grabbed my neck, and I saw his eyes turn red as he glared at me with anger.

"You have no right to question what I do or do not do; you know nothing. It's best for you to stay in your place as a Luna and keep quiet."

He pushed me to the floor, and I glared back at him with anger in my eyes. Did he think I was a fool who couldn't feel the hurt and regret inside him?

"You are not the Alpha I once knew; you are weak and insignificant. Tell me, why do you appear so feeble in front of a woman? Are you trying to avoid a war between the two packs because your father was a friend of the Lycan Alpha? I know when she told you her name was Emily. You started thinking about Emily, and you should be ashamed of yourself. You should know very well that I am now your Luna, and you should show respect."

He stood there for a while as he grew angrier and slowly stood up.

"The biggest mistake I ever made was to reject her and marry you instead."

He walked away, and I became angry and walked over to the bed and sat down. I couldn't believe he was regretting rejecting that woman, Emily. I wonder where she is now; who knows, maybe she's already dead.

I had a smile on my face and felt joy just thinking about her disappearance. I would be even happier to see her vanish and make him suffer since he had regretted accepting me as his mate.

"What do you think we should do? If you let the Lycan Alpha take control, you will be the one losing everything."

Hearing what Alex said made me think for a moment. My wolf was right; if I let that woman known as Emily the Lycan Alpha take control over our pack, all my hard work of taking control over this pack would be in vain. I had waited for so many years just to be in this position, and I would not wait any longer to ensure I take control over everything.

I stood up and walked over to the mirror, staring at myself. I am a Luna, and I am beautiful. How could he not want someone like me? How could he think he could look down on me?

"I think I know what to do, Alex," I said through my mind, a message only my wolf could hear.

"And what will that be?" She replied back to me.

"The Lycan Alpha is coming to the Crimson Pack tonight, right? She wants to make sure she can trust Drake. Well, then I will make sure she experiences the most shameful thing in her life. I will teach her a lesson and make her understand that I am the Crimson Luna, and she is just a mistake. It has never been heard of that an Alpha will turn out to be a woman. So, since she is so foolish, I will show her that I am the one who will bring her down."

I gazed out of the window at the sky as a smile played on my lips. It would soon get dark, and she would arrive, and the party would begin.

As I walked into the hall, I noticed everyone bowing at me. I felt so happy to be in power, glad that I would soon teach her a lesson one way or another.

Making my way to the throne, I saw Drake seated, lost in his thoughts.

"Should we alert him?" Alex asked as I took a step and stopped.

"I don't think it would be wise. If he doesn't want to act like an Alpha, then he should suffer and feel the pain to understand what it truly means to lead," I replied.

Just then, the trumpets sounded, and I turned to see the door open as Emily of the Lycan pack walked in.

"Let us welcome Alpha Emily from the Lycan Pack," the announcement echoed through the room.

I observed how everyone gasped, but it was no longer a surprise to me as laws were beginning to be broken, and I believed every Luna could potentially become an Alpha.

Approaching her, I extended a welcoming gesture, with Drake doing the same.

"Welcome to the Crimson Pack," Drake greeted, while I chuckled, noting how she looked at me.

"Is everything okay?" she inquired, chuckling louder, to which I responded, "No, my dear Alpha, nothing is wrong. I'm just trying to fathom how foolish you are."

Upon hearing this, her eyes flashed blue, and she forcefully grabbed my arm, causing everyone to stare. I maintained eye contact with her and continued, "How can you be an Alpha if you're still an Omega?"

We both stared at each other as if we were on the brink of a war. I felt a deep hatred towards her, just by looking at her face, and I couldn't understand why. If she thinks I will bow to her just because she is an Alpha, then I believe I need to make it clear to her that I am a Luna.
