“Having fun?” Noah murmured as he appeared at my elbow.
“Absolutely.”
Noah chuckled. “Liar. But thank you for coming anyway. We can get out of here soon.”
I nodded, and when he stretched up, I gave him a quick kiss. I went back to staring out the windows, watching the city, and Noah wandered away to mingle.
Eventually he returned and let me know people were starting to leave, and if I was ready, we could go, too. I agreed so quickly it made him laugh. He took my hand as we walked to the elevators. We were the only ones getting on, so I indulged myself and pulled him close.
And that’s when I noticed he’d pushed the button for two floors down instead of street level.
“Noah?”
His grin was all heat and mischief, and when the elevator stopped, he grabbed my hands and backed out, tugging me down the hall.
