The Real Mastermind

Vladimir sat leisurely in his office. He was browsing his laptop when he heard the knocking sound outside his door.
"Come in," Vladimir said, shifting his gaze from his laptop to the door.
Hearing his go signal, Luna entered the room.
"Sir, I brought him. He is waiting outside the car."
Vladimir nodded. "Escort him to the secret room."
Luna immediately followed Vladimir's command. She went outside to fetch the person she brought.
Upon reaching the car, Luna motioned for the man to step out of the car and follow her.
A crisp laughter echoed behind Luna. She frowned and turned to the man with a sharp gaze.
"Why are you laughing?"
"Well. I'm just happy. I didn't expect that my Boss would ask someone to help me escape from the prison. It's not part of the prior plan. I am supposed to stay there until the mastermind is caught. Tell me. What changed his mind?" The man asked Luna.
