After finally managing to open the basement in the basement in the other shop, a whole lot of brute force and power tools later, Kernal had become the not so proud owner of how many more scabby properties. The decline to the staircase had led to a room that looked fresh out of a horror fest, things there that Stryker had never seen before and never wanted to see again, but there had also been a safe.

Inside, there had been a stash of banknotes, gold jewellery and the deeds to four other properties. They were still undecided on what they were going to do with them yet, but that hadn't stopped Kernal from continuing to be a do-gooder.

He had managed to find Owen a Mommy, a lovely woman who regularly set up playdates so Jamie and Merrick could stay in touch with him, and Daisy was on a trail run with a Daddy of her own. Liam was still staying with Kernal for the time being.
