The mission

Martins called me and I had to excuse myself from Olive. I wasn't sure what Martins have to say and if I would be able to keep my identity away from Olive throughout the call, that was the reason I left thee Balcony. I returned to my room and closed the door before settling on my bed to receive the call. "Boss, I've been calling you but you didn't pick. Is everything all right?"

"Yeah. I was with Olive. I couldn't pick up the call while she was there. I had to excuse myself. What's the news?"

"There is a mission, boss"

I furrowed my brows. Mission?. What kind of Mission?. "What mission?"

"Arden and I was able to find out Salvador's accomplices"

I blinked. "Are you serious?"

"Yes, boss. Some fours packs work with hm. They are all from the north"

"North?"

"Yes boss"

North?. That's strange. "Are you sure they are from the north?"

"Yes. One of the packs is called the Lycan pack of the north"

I frowned. The Lycan pack of the north?. That is one of the brutal packs in the northern hemisphere. A northern hemisphere is a place for all the packs that had been sent into exile and the Lycan pack is one of them. According to history, the Lycan pack was one of the strongest packs in the southern hemisphere before they got involved with witches that use black magic. When war broke out between the Lycan pack and other packs in the southern hemisphere. Lycan pack lost the battle and was sent alongside seven other packs to the northern hemisphere never to return. "What is the mission?"

"Two of the packs will be coming over to the southern hemisphere"

I smiled. "That's good news. When are they coming?"

"Tomorrow"

I groaned. "Then we need to make a plan"

"Yes, boss. That's the reason I called"

I sighed. "I will be there in five minutes"

"Ok boss"

"Get the rest ready"

The call ended and I stood up. I was getting everything ready so I could leave when I realized I left Olive on the balcony. I groaned. I can't believe I forgot about her. I opened the door and went to the balcony. Olive was seated with her eyes closed. I touched her. "Olive?"

She opened her eyes. "Nolan?. Where have you been?"

I sighed. "I am sorry. Something came up. I am sorry I left you here all alone"

She nodded. "Ok. Are you done?"

I shook my head. "I have to go out. Can you go back to your room?"

She furrowed her brows. "Where are you going?"

I sighed. "I can't tell you but I promise when I come back, I will come to see you"

She nodded. "Ok. Just be safe"

I smiled. "I will. You should go to your room"

She stood up. "Take care". I made sure she was gone before I returned to my room. I picked up a black face cap and a jacket, wore my shoes, and walked out of the room.

"Alpha, are you going out?" One of the guards asked

He sighed. "No, I just want to take a stroll. You should stay here and don't leave until I am back"

He nodded. "Yes, alpha"

"When anyone asks for me, tell them I am asleep and doesn't want to be disturbed"

He bowed. "Ok, alpha". I followed the hallway. When I was sure nobody was downstairs, I left the packhouse and followed the hidden part leading outside the pack territory. The usual one I use when I want to leave the packhouse without being noticed. I got to the place I parked my car. The car was hidden. I had to do that to prevent anyone from knowing or seeing it. I pulled off the plants I used in covering the car. I wore the jacket and face cap and finally drove the car out and into the street.

Martins was waiting outside when I drove in. He saluted when I stepped out. "Welcome boss"

I smiled. "Where is Arden?"

"He's getting everyone ready"

I sighed. "Ok. So, where is my mask?"

Martins stretched a mask to me. "Here is it, boss"

I took it from him and wore it. "Good. Let's go in"

We entered the warehouse. Arden and some warriors were in practice. Arden walked closer to me. "It's good to see you, boss"

"Make someone else do this. I need you and Martins in my room in two minutes"

He bowed. "Yes, boss"

I turned to leave. "Martins, you can wait until Arden is ready. You two should come in together"

Martins bowed. "Ok boss"

I went to my room to wait for them. While waiting, I get some papers so I could start with a plan before they come in. I was still busy with my plans when I had a knock. I knew it had to be Martins and Arden. "Come in"

The door opened and they walked in. "We are here, boss," they say in unison.

I gestured with my hand. "Sit down". They did. "Martins I want you to repeat every word you said to me on the phone"

He nodded. "Arden and I were able to find out Salvador's accomplices. We found out that some fours packs have been working with him for a while now. Though my source gathered that six other packs worked with him in the past but betrayed him"

I furrowed my brows. "He was walking with six other packs before?"

Martins nodded. "Yes, boss. Excluding these present fours"

I sighed. How was he able to get packs to work with him?. Do they trust him that much?. I groaned. Maybe he made them trust him as he did to my father. I sighed. "Did you know how they betray him?"

He sighed. "Boss, I don't think you will want to know"

I furrowed my brows. "What do you mean?"

"Because it involves your father"

I batted my lashes. Did he just say my falter?. Was my father working with him before?. Was he one of the packs Martins was talking about?. Did he betray him?. I mean did my father betray him?. Is that the reason he got my father killed with my mom?. Is that the reason he attacked my pack that night?. And rendered me fatherless and motherless?. Was that the reason he made our pack be without having an alpha and I and to pick up a huge responsibility at a tender age?. I feared I might be right but I still felt the urge to know the truth so I asked Martins. "Did my father work with him?". He stared at me. "Martins, you don't have to lie to me. My father is dead. Your loyalty lies with me"

He sighed. "No. Your dad did not work with them but your uncle did"

I batted my lashes. My uncle?. That's Bella's father. He worked with Salvador?. How?. When?. Did my father know about it or did he die without knowing? I groaned and pulled off my mask. I was already sweating. The truth I found out today was difficult to take in. "Did my father know about it?"

He nodded. "He knew and that was the reason he sent your uncle's pack to the northern hemisphere"

I rolled my eyes. Send him and those involved to the northern hemisphere?. That uncle, Martins is talking, about isn't Bella's father. He is still the alpha of the ice pack. Which means I have an uncle that I don't know of. I sighed. "How did they betray Salvador?"

"I don't know how boss. All I know is they betrayed him and do not work with him again"

I sighed. "And the four other new packs working with him?"

"They are all from the north, as I said before. One of the packs is called the Lycan pack of the north and two of the four packs will be coming over to the southern hemisphere tomorrow"

I sighed. "Will the Lycan pack of the north, come too?"

"The source isn't sure of the packs coming yet but I think we should be prepared" Martin answered

I turned to face Arden. "Did your source gather the same information?"

He nodded. "It's almost the same, boss but I was able to get the name of one of the two packs coming"

I smiled. "What's the name?"

"The Hikans"

I furrowed my eyes. Hikans?. That name sounded strange to my ears. I have never come across any pack with that name. "You said the Hikans?"

He nodded. "According to my source, they are one of the most dangerous of the northern hemisphere and is very good with the sword. They are said to know the art of swords better than any other pack"

I groaned. This is going to be tougher than I thought. Thank goodness we know one of the packs coming but the fact that they know the art of swords is disheartening. And then not knowing who the second pack are won't make us make a perfect plan. I sighed. "We will plan according to the information we get. But just in case you find out who the second pack is before we go after them, let me know"

"Ok boss"

I stood up. "I have a plan written down already but I have to go. I don't want my friend to notice I have been gone for too long". They nodded. "You go through the plan. Think of what we can add. I will try to figure out a better plan"

"Ok, boss"

I smiled. "I will take my leave now. But get ready for tomorrow's mission. We won't spare a soul"

They stood up too. "Sure, boss"
