Rob had said 'you're more than welcome to use the house. It was yours anyway I'm simply lending it back. I'll be gone for a few days so have fun.' I would expect that he would make sure the house was in tip top shape.
Such as, there would be something as basic as food in the kitchen but I blamed myself for having faith in a man who rode a horse to town when he needed something. He always used to finish the food when Delilah and I lived in the house but never helped us fill the fridge again!
Unless it came to beer.
He had two shelves in the fridge just stacked with beer. He also had half a glass bottle of milk, six eggs and a box of pizza that only had the crusts left in it.
I did not understand how he managed to do it since Delilah had moved out only a day ago. What had Rob done with all the food?
The only thing in the pantry were spices and salt. At least there was coffee and sugar.
