Being in heat sucked. I was probably going to die by the end of it but I was really happy that Nickolai said no to mating with me. At that moment I fell deeply in love with him, the anger was more Wynter than me, she didn't care much for her mate refusing us.

  How many men, supernatural or not would turn down sex, let alone seven days of nonstop sex? He was a gentleman, I like that about him. 

He was fast asleep on his back with his right arm trapped under my body holding me to him. I woke up about twenty minutes ago to find us in this position. One of my legs was thrown over his and my hand across his chest. He had really long silky black hair that was almost as tall as mine. I like his better though, must be why I've been playing with it for the past ten minutes.
