I couldn't see beyond murderous thoughts. My mind was being assaulted with unwelcome memories of Jason. The rejection, the fighting the cheating, it was all being played out in my mind's eye like an old western movie.

The rational part of my brain knew he didn't mean anything by doing what he did but the other part only saw the disrespect and betrayal of the small amount of trust I had a place in him.

Wynter for the first time since we met Nickolai was very displeased with him. We both agree that his action would not go unpunished. I couldn't kill him like I want to and I can't physically hurt him without hurting myself since I marked him and there was no way to undo what was done.

I need to make sure what just happened never happens again. Nickolai was not Jason I knew that. We just met, he doesn't know me and I don't know him, not to mention the rocky start we've had which is about to get rockier. Unfortunately for him, it's a lesson he will have to learn the hard way.
