Sweet Couple

[ Chapter 35 ]

A while later they went to the dining hall, the dinner had been prepared with French cuisine served on the table.

There are various servants in the Long mansion, they had been trained and the best of them were selected, it was their honour to be able serving the most prominent family in Huaxia. The mansion housed many servants, that included cooks, housemaids, butlers, gardeners, and so on. The head of servants was uncle Zhang serving the role of House Steward and Aunt Wang as the Housekeeper.

The dinner was proceeded with a warm atmosphere as Long Cassandra could not help but spoil her baby son by continuously feeding Long Jinnian with various types of food. Long Tian kept nagging his son to invite his daughter in law to dinner with them which Long Jinnian answered with a nod.

The dinner was perfect except for the fact that Long Evelyn ate the dinner quietly as she had a cold expression on her face.

Having finished taking a bath, Long Jinnian opened the drawer to get his phone. He spent a plenty of minutes talking lovey dovey with Feng Xiulan. Finished, he decided to spend his time to read an interesting webnovel because of he was not feeling sleepy yet.

After about an hour of reading, he tried to finish the chapter he was reading in his current book though he could not focus on the book as the cold face of Long Evelyn during this evening kept appearing in his mind. He could not stop thinking about his sister. He loves her, he could not continue like this, denying every advance of hers .

With a sigh he got up from his bed, stretched his limbs. He was wearing a white pajama with turn-down collar when he left his room and started to go toward her room, he knocked the door of the room which was opposite to his own room .

"Evelyn?" Not getting an answer after a few minutes of knocking he called out tentatively.

He moved his hand onto the handle only to find that the door was not locked, then he opened a little bit more and he saw that the beautiful figure was sleeping in her bed.

Long Jinnian opened the door further and walked inside. He quietly shut her door until it was completely closed.

He looked around to scan her room, her bedroom was well decorated with white colour dominating the room with a bit of black and grey colour which gave the room a classic and elegant touch .

There was a large bed right in the center of the room with white curtains hanging around it. An oval dressing table was kept in the corner, the mirror of which, was framed by exquisite rosewood.

On the side of the room, there was a walk in closet, which led to a spacious bathroom. He could see that most of the furniture was imported from Europe, and it surely looked luxurious

On the other side there was a huge photograph hanging on the wall, the portrait of a small family where the dark-haired handsome young man stood beside the beautiful golden-haired young woman who sat gracefully on the elegant wooden chair, both of them embracing a pair of adorable children where the cinnamon roll-like little girl was in the man's embrace while the porcelain doll-like little boy was being embraced and kissed by the beautiful woman.

A few steps further into her room and he stopped short. He was hit full in the face with a sweet and intoxicating scent as lilac fragrance was all over the room.

She wore a lilac perfume that perfectly complemented her sweet natural scent. He took another whiff as he really loved her sweet fragrance.

Looking around, he saw a couple of smaller photographs of sweet couple, there was a photograph of 6yo girl and 5yo boy playing in the snow. A photograph of 10yo girl embracing 9yo boy in the middle of sakura trees. A photograph of 14yo girl holding a little hand of 13yo boy in the middle of beautiful forest landscape. A photograph of 17yo girl kissing the cheek of 16yo boy in the beautiful mountain landscape. A photograph of 20yo beautiful young lady walking side by side with 19yo handsome young man in the beautiful landscape of Meditteranean sea. And photograph of intimate moment of beautiful woman and handsome man were kissing each other passionately.

Long Jinnian's eyes were moist, he closed his eyes to stop the tears threatening to flow from within. He could not stop himself from remembering the times they spent together since they were small. Long Evelyn had always been by his side for as long as he could remember. He loved her dearly.

He saw that she was sleeping peacefully and had let her bedside lamp on. He noticed some clothing that did not belong in the room, the white t-shirt that he usually wore was on the bed just beside her pillow.

Once he was around the bed he could see that the duvet was pushed to the side, Long Evelyn was barely covered, she wore dark blue sexy v-neck nightgown.

The soft, dim light of the bedside lamp was falling on her beautiful features. He was mesmerized by her fascinating sleeping face, she looked as beautiful as she does when awake, but how does he put it, her sleeping face was innocently beautiful.

His eyes traveled her arm down to her neck. The corner of the duvet was across her chest, barely covering her breasts. From seeing her bare shoulders and stomach he guessed that she was not wearing a bra underneath her nightgown.

Another clue was that he could see the bottom of her breasts. They were dangerously close to escaping from beneath her nightgown.

Her sleeping figure was dangerously tempting, she was like a seductive melody that tempted him to devour her, there was no way he could resist her temptation.

He gulped.

His hardness was threatening to escape from beneath his naked bottom underneath his pajama.

He hated himself for being such a lustful man. How can he not control his desire, this sleeping woman was his sister, the woman he loved dearly. He took a deep breath to tame the beast inside him.

After he had adjusted his composure, he looked at her lovingly and sat beside her. He brought his hand to caress and stroke her hair gently.

He closed his eyes as he thought, he could not continue running away from every one of her advances. He has to do something about their relationship.

Looking at her graceful sleeping figure, he could not stop himself from moving his hand to her stomach. His fingers gently touched her small waist and traced her flat belly.

He wondered what she would look like if she was around with a swollen belly with his child inside. He swore to himself to make sure that he will not let her down, he will use the rest of his life to love and make her smile.

He looked down at her face, she looked like an angel in her sleep and she even gave a beatific rare smile. Perhaps she was dreaming about something good.

He stroked her petal soft cheeks, she moved her face into his soft, warm hands and snuggled.

Bending down he kissed her gently on her cheek and whispered softly, "I love you."

He switched off the bedside lamp. He pulled the duvet till completely covered her bare shoulders and stroked her hair once more before he stood up and left the room soundlessly.

Once Long Jinnian left and the door was closed.

Long Evelyn leisurely opened her sapphire-like hazel eyes as she looked at the departing figure.

She brought her hand to her sweet cheek where he had just kissed her.

Her mouth curved into a beautiful smile, beautiful enough to put moon into shame upon seeing her ethereal and otherworldly beauty.

Her lips parted as she said in a soft voice,

"I love you too."
