Chapter 3: The Dead March

Marcus is on the roof staring down the massive drop...He falls and looking up at the cloudy sky. He closes his eyes and plummets.

<Mirror, Mirror on the wall.>

Kakashi slowly approaches: keeping his bat to his side while keeping a dead stare.

A tour of Koten der toten shows every crack and corner. Sprinting zombies and crawler's barrels through the door and at you.

A tour of Dojima High explores, zombies walking the halls, eating corpses, and an ID of a teacher covered with blood sits in the puddle of blood.

Rei stands on the roof and looks to a railing that was Hisashi's death place.

A blade sits in front of Saeko's face while she calmly controls her breath. Saeko/Takeo looks to you.

Demsey pop a shotgun in a zombie's face, Nikolai jam's tactical shovel into one's neck. A zombie goes to attack Nikolai's blind spot, but a blade pierces it was Takeo. Edward dodges a zombie swat running towards the others with The Paralyzer on his tail. They ready their weapons.

Kakashi smashes a zombie to the side, while Marus judo throws a zombie onto its back and curb stomps its brain with Samantha by his side. Rei runs past them knocking 'them' legs out and spins stabbing one's head. Kohta with a menacing smile: shoots his nail gun at the horde with Saya, and Shizuka by his side while Saeko dodges a nail and smashes a zombie's brain.

Marcus, Kakashi group, The Expert's, Samantha, and Eddie watches the sun just to dim into darkness.

Now, in the afternoon. Honking from cars and trucks echo the streets. The bus was caught in a traffic jam trying the cross the bridge, but it seems other people have that idea.

Shizuka honks her's as she places her head on the steering wheel frustrated, talking under her breath while everyone chills on the bus talking or listening to Mr.Shido's ongoing speech as his posse cheers or claps.

Marcus and Samantha were looking out the window. At the same seat, they were before.

Samantha; "I spy with my little eye something, red and an unhappy gopher." Marcus scans around the traffic.

He sees a red car with a man punching his steering wheel while it repeatedly honks.

Marcus; "Well, I feel bad for that guy...I spy with my little eye." Someone with glasses and always yells at me if I even mention their name."

Saya; "Shut it, before I climb over this chair, beat you senseless." Saya's voice was heard from behind them while Kohta and Samantha snickers.

Samantha pokes Marcus to get his attention and looks at her.

Samantha: "Thank you." She whispers while Marcus smirks.

Marcus: "I'll do anything for my little Sam." He brushes her hair while she smiles up at him.

Kohta: "Wow, just by you two aura alone, you're growing closer every passing day." Saya watches the two.

Noami quickly takes a seat beside Marcus on the left of the bus.

Noami: "I'm sorry do you mind? I sit here?" Marcus looks back at Mr.Shino inspiring his posse once more. He noticed the lust in the other two female students' eyes.

Marcus grunts and leans back.

Marcus: "Welcome to the club."

Kohta: "I'm Kohta." He waved.

Noami: "Noami." They look away while silence filled the group. "Uh...sorry for the other night." She looks to Marcus.

Marcus: "Oh, that's fine really." He looks to Noami. "I'll help as much as I can." Noami nods.

Saya: "You sure have a big ego." She comments while Marcus rolls his eyes.

Samantha: "You know you never told me, how you two met." He looks down at her.

Kohta: "Yeah, like that outburst in the hall." He thinks a bit. "How close were you two really? HEY!!! AAAA!!!" Saya pulls his cheek not giving a glance.

Marcus: "Let's make this short. Tutor."

Noami: "Tell me about it." She sighs, leaning back. "School is tough, and I can't even imagine the real world."

Saya: "That's because you're stupid." Everyone in her radius glance at her. "Being smart is how you survive, especially in the real world. Someone like me, you can't even compare."

Afterlife Finn: 'And I thought Billy was a dick.' His voice echoes his mind causing Marcus to jump gaining everyone's attention.

Shizuka: "Huh? Did you get a cold?" She looks back from her driver seat with bags in her eyes with Saeko looking back at him.

Marcus: "No, no...I'm fine." He clears his throat getting comfortable.

Saeko: "You sure?" Marcus shakes his head.

Afterlife Finn: 'Sorry, about that, figured to break the ice with you somehow.'

Marcus: 'That's fine.' He gazes at Noami still looking, Marcus looks away and at the window. 'So, what do you think?'

'It's better than in that loop but I never been to japan...where are the hoverboards?'

' Finding those is like finding a needle in a haystack.' Finn sighs. ' Hey, since you're riding and dying with me. I'll look for one.'

'You sure, kid? This is not like the prison.'

Marcus: 'I know. You sacrifice your ticket to paradise and I'll do you this favor. From teen and to...former ghost.' He felt Finn smirk.

Afterlife Finn: 'Thanks, kid.' Marcus nods watching Samantha playing secret rock, paper, scissors with Eddie.

At night, still in a traffic jam, but moved up a few spots close to the bridge while the police force was killing the walker's blue glowing eyes in the dark making it easy for headshots.

BANG!!! BANG!!! Ow!!! An officer kills a Zombie while a swat member appeared and slams another walker into the ground, and blows its head off with a five-seven, successfully clearing them out.

Saeko and Shizuka were staring, watching the police force throwing the corpses of the undead in a pile and continued testing people before they cross.

Shizuka; "I hope the two are alright out there." Samantha was fast asleep on Shizuka's shoulder, yet her assets were in the way.

Saeko; "I believe in them, so let's stick with that." She looks to Marcus leaning on the steering wheel: staring out the window into the calm and quiet night.

Kohta; "Hey, Marcus? Are you, ok?" He peaks around Samantha's seat with a worried look.

Marcus; "I'm just something in my mind." He became quiet again.

Saya; "Spill it already." Saya called from behind him.

"...What if this all happened because of someone?... They made this disease airborne, watching like what you said Saya-"When their panic, their Chaos if not hand it to the walking corpses."

Saya; "That's a weird theory and let's not jinx it like last time with that sprinter, their fast enough as it is."

Noami; "I can't imagine being torn apart by them, it's aggressive, but they seem rare to come by..." She grew silent. Marcus glance at Noami. "No, no I'm fine. Really."

Marcus: "....ok." He glances back to the slightly crack windshield.

-With Kakashi and Rei.-

They found a short nose python and two Silver M1911 on a cop corpse and the trunk with a few bullets and three clips each for M1911.

They took off with a motorcycle that they found the night they separated from the tunnel and a dead motorcyclist with the key to that baby.

They approach an untouched gas station, but still in service as Kakashi gets off and looks at the pump.

Kakashi; "Hey, Rei, do you have any money on you?" Rei grunts.

Rei; "No...you're the worst." Kakashi looks back with an annoyed stare.

"What was that all about, I left my wallet at my locker in the school? If Hisashi was here, he would have gladly paid!" He slightly raises his voice as Rei glares.

"If Marcus was here, he would've kicked your ass for saying that. And Where did that come from?!! I didn't compare you to Hisashi!!" Rei raises her voice, as she tightens, her grip on her broomstick.

"Don't put him into this!! What's so interesting about him?! He's changed of personality?!" Rei looks away. "What's wrong? You said I was the worst, didn't you?!! Someone must be the best, right?!! You must've meant Hisashi, didn't you?!"

Rei; "I didn't know then...but I, do now." She said coldly as Kakashi suddenly put out his hand with a flatter of his school jacket. Rei flinches.

Kakashi; "Money? Do you have any?" Rei looks away.

"Sorry, I left mine in my bag." Kakashi rubs his nose.

"You're riding my ass now?!!" Kakashi turns, walking to the door of the gas station. "If there's, trouble shout ok?" He enters the gas station while Rei sighs.

Kakashi looks around the station for any cash laying around as he took two chocolate bars and water for the two. He had no choice to smash the cash register with a bat causing a loud noise to ring out as Rei heard this.

Rei grunts.

Rei; "Boys. AH!" Suddenly someone got a drop on her.

Kakashi got out with some cash, counting for enough gas.

Kakashi; "Ten, twenty, thirty. That's enough." He said under his breath. "Hey, Rei, open the--"

???; "HEY, STOP IT RIGHT THERE!!!" A crazy lunatic points his switchblade at Kakashi while he held Rei hostage. Kakashi noticed and puts on his arms to the side as the back of his school, jacket flutter revealing his short nose python, He slowly walks up with a friendly smile.

Kakashi; "Hey, let her go. We can talk about this?" The lunatic points his switchblade, under her chin.

Lunatic; "I SAID STOP!!!" Kakashi follows his command. "Do you think I will fall for that? I kill my family who those freaks TORN APART!!! I HAD TO KILL EACH ONE!!!" He giggles. "PEOPLE THINK I'M CRAZY, BUT I'M JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE!!!" The blade leaks a little while Rei wince. "Put the money in, and pump your ride!" Kakashi follows his command. "And speaking of that you have a fine piece of ass with you." He squeezes her breast, hurting Rei as Kakashi bites his lip. "I'm taking her with me to show her the difference between a man...and a kid." He smirks with a wink.

Rei; "Kakashi?!!!"

The pumps click, signaling it's done.

Lunatic; "Now, back up." Kakashi did so, but try to reason.

Kakashi; "Hey, just leave her alone and take the--"

"SHUT IT!!!" He yelled and Kakashi noticed a horde of blue eyes wandering the street and toward them. "Drop that bat." Kakashi throws the bat to the side.

"Leave her alone, I beg--"

Lunatic; "I SAID SHUT IT!!!" He slashes from Rei as Kakashi sprint, points his python at his shoulder.

Kakashi: "You know...I don't know how to shoot a gun but from this distance. There's no way, I'll miss."

BANG!!

The lunatic drops holding his shoulder, which was bleeding.

Lunatic: "AH!! Fuck!"

Rei glares at him.

Rei; "YOU BETTER BE GLAD IT'S WASN'T ME!!"

Kakashi; "Stop it, Rei." He points, to the horde nearing the gas station. Kakashi grabs his bat and got on as Rei did the same.

Lunatic; "HEY, YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME HERE!!! ARE YOU OUT YOUR MINDS, ASSHOLES??!!!!"

Kakashi; "No, but you are." He drove off as Rei flips him off.

The Lunatic cries.

Lunatic; "LOOK, I'M SORRY!!! COME BACK PLEASE!!!" Two hellhounds sprint around the horde and chew him into pieces. "HA! AAAAAAAAH!!!"

Engine roars while the wind hits there face.

Rei; "Thanks." Rei smirks.

Kakashi; "Don't mention it." He continued to drive down the lane into a bridge seeing a town in view.

Rei; "I have a feeling we have to deal with more of them."

Kakashi; "It's part of the outbreak." He sighs.

Back at the bus. The bus moved a spot, but wasn't near the bridge, Marcus sighs. Saeko stretched, yawn, and came up behind Marcus to place a hand on the driver seat.

Saeko; "Progress?" She rubs her eyes.

Marcus; "You're cute when you sleep and this a definition of bullshit." He slams his head on the steering wheel as it honks.

Saeko blushes and pays it no mind.

Driver 1; "Oi!!! STOP BEEPING THE HORN!!!" Marcus lifts his head and glares at the driver beside him.

Marcus; "SHUT UP!!! I WOULDN'T HAVE IF WE GOT THROUGH THE BRIDGE!!!" Saeko gazes blankly.

"WHO ARE YOU YELLING AT BOY?!!!"

Marcus looks around, daze.

"Huh, do your car have a name?"

The Driver turns to get out, but a cop appears and closes the door.

Cop; "You two shut up!!! And Look straight!!" The cop shouted.

Marcus; "Ok, dad." He looks ahead while the two look baffled.

Saeko giggles.

Saeko; "I guess so."

Clapping gone louder as Mr. Shido turns around with his arms stretch out and a cocky smile.

Mr. Shido; "See? It's decided. I'm your new leader."

Marcus looks back from his seat.

Marcus: "Leader? I confused you for an inflatable tube man." Mr. Shido's brow bounce. "Sit down, or do I have to do myself?"

The girls in his posse got scared, but Mr. Shido hugs them.

Mr. Shido; "There, There...don't worry the monster won't hurt you." He said in a soothing voice while the girls calm down.

"And a Pedophile." He looks at them, blankly.

Tank; "Get him, kid!!" He low-fives Nikolai.

Saya gets up and grabs the bag she carried from the beginning.

Saya; "We should get to Betsu bridge, there probably waiting at the station by now."

Mr.Shido; "Don't go. You're' part of our family, not Kurumo and--"

"I'm good thank you." Saya and the others leave.

Shizuka: "You sure, we won't come across like this again."

Marcus: "A vehicle with a talkable Pedo or walk with a short-cut." Shizuka thinks about it and followed behind Noami.

Mr.Shido: "Please, stay. I'll quiet down." He noticed Samantha following after, he grabs her wrist in panic.

Samantha: "Let go me go!!!"

Mr.Shido; "I won't let anyone hurt yo--" Marcus slugs Mr.Shido across the bus. He hits the floor with a bruise by his posse with his cracked glasses on beside him. "Y-you hit me."

Marcus; "I CAN DO MORE!!!" Samantha pushes him back.

Samantha: "That's enough!!!" She struggles.

Edward and Eddie: "He hasn't learned his lesson." Nikolai covers his mouth while Samantha grunts.

Kohta races back in and points his nail gun at Mr.Shido and his posse grabbing Marcus's shoulder: calming him a bit.

Posse student; "YOU CAN'T JUST, HIT HIM LIKE THAT!!!" He kneels by Mr.Shino spitting blood.

Marcus; "Wake up! I used to be like you all! He's manipulating you and you don't even know it!!!" He gazes at each one, but they were far gone. "If he gets you killed don't go crying back to me." Marcus lets Samantha by and kicks an assist bar near the entrance of the bus while Kohta kept his gun train on them.

Kohta: "What are you doing?"

Marcus pulled the bar out making it a one-handed sharp and blunt weapon.

"A Weapon." Marcus and Samantha climb down while Kohta glance at frightened Mr.Shido.

"Come near me or my friends." He gives a Lunatic grin aiming his nail gun. "I'll kill you." He leaves while Mr.Shido pants.

Female student: "It's doesn't hurt too bad, is it?" Mr.Shido pulled his loose crown(teeth) staring at his bloody fingers.

Mr.Shido:.... He looks at the open bus-door.

Now, Kakashi and Rei is riding the motorcycle down the chaotic streets while dodging Lunatics with clever, a bat, and a shotgun

Rei; "Why are they shooting at us?!" She shouts while Kakashi dodges a walker.

Kakashi; "As I said, we can't trust anyone." A sprinter jumps off the hood of a car only for Kakashi to dodged at the last minute. Creating a dint of the side of a stand-still car. "Change of plans. We're going to Betsu bridge."

"Hope, they are not thereby now." Rei held on tight while Kakashi speeds down the street.

OW!!! A zombie hits the road of the bridge while three others follow. More stumbles past and towards Kohta, Shizuka, Samantha, Noami, and Saya.

CLICK!

Kohta: "I'm out!" Saya digs into the bag.

Saya: "Hold you're horses, fat-ass!" A zombie goes to eat Kohta, but Marcus pushes Kohta and stabs its skull with the sharp bar.

Marcus; "Saeko, don't go too far!!!" He spartan kick another getting close while Kohta shoots Walker's defending the girls.

Saeko dodges a grab and the wooden Katana comes down, crushing its skull.

Saeko: "Thanks, but I can handle myself." Their head snaps to the loud barking while Marcus's spine shivers.

Two hellhounds sprint through the crowd and toward Marcus and the others.

Saya: "The hell is that?!" Saeko goes to prepare a strike.

Marcus: "Saeko!!!" She gazes at him and joins the group. "DON'T FREEZE!!! Kohta shoot before they get, close! Whatever you do, don't engage in close combat!!!"

A hellhound charges toward Saeko, only for her jump: spinning over it. The hellhound hits the railing while Kohta dispatch one hitting its eye and does another hitting its skull.

Boom! It's exploded into a fiery mess causing everyone, but Marcus and Samantha to stagger.

Noami: "I can't believe this...."She and everyone gaze in horror. Five more pours through the horde.

Marcus: "Kohta!" He steps back.

Kohta: "I'm out!"

BARK! Boom! Boom! Two dogs explode. An Revolver echoes as the motorcycle hums. Someone leaps from the ramp that leads to the group revealing Kakashi and Rei.

Kakashi; "Hirano!!!" He throws the python at him.

Rei; "Marcus!!!" She throws dual M1911's at Marcus.

They both caught it, smirking while aiming at the undead.

Kohta and Marcus; "Bang." They shoot their guns as world slows down.

Three bullets pierced the air, flying towards Saeko as She backflips over the three, and it lands hitting five zombies as the bullets pierced its head flying into another: breaking skulls, ribs, hips.

Kohta; "I got the dogs!" Marcus runs into the undead.

Kohta shoots left and right, killing the dogs while his face screams joy

A zombie swats at Marcus only for him to cancel its momentum with his arm and pistol whips the zombie to its knees only for Marcus to end it with a headshot.

Rei jumps off the bike hitting three zombies while Kakashi stays on his bike using it as a weapon.

Marcus was shooting left, and right conserving ammo while he gun-fu some zombies, one sneaks up behind him, but Marcus spins to the side and behind it. He back suplex it, destroying its brains.

Tank; "U.S.A!!! U.S.A!!!" Tank shouts on the sidelines.

Nikolai: "That kid is gone make me cry." He wipes a tear while Takeo, Eddie, and Edward watch on.

The others were enjoying the show watching Marcus gun-fu-ing' and Rei covering him with Saeko.

Finally, the battle was over. Zombies corpses litter the bridge while Kohta fanboy over his python as Marcus spins his Silver M1911's in different patterns with superhuman speed with a goofy smile.

Kakashi and Rei approach the group as they look at two with Marcus in awe with his mastered show and dumbfound by Kohta knowledge.

Shizuka; "They're having fun."

Rei/Kakashi; "Yeah...I just threw at them because they were closer." They makes a dumbfounded stare.

Noami: "I'm beginning to think he's a hitman." Everyone slowly nods while Saeko and Samantha approach Marcus that's now giving a blank stare as he getting the feel on them.

Saeko; "Hey, their sheriff. Arrest any vermin, lately?" Saeko smirks while Marcus snaps out of it and stops with a smile.

Marcus; "No, there missy." He moved his strand of hair with his gun head. "Right now, getting a feel so I could do my job." He cracks a goofy smirk causing Samantha and Saeko to giggle.

Samantha: "Ok, cowboy. Remember not to go overboard." Marcus pretends to tip a hat while Saya watches.

Shizuka: "You like him don't you?" She replied by her ear. She blushes pushing her face from hers.

Saya: "You're breath reeks!"

...

-Under, Betsu bridge.-

Kakashi: "So, the station is nowhere near and the sun is running out. Any ideas?" He gazes at everyone while Shizuka raised a hand. "Yes?"

Shizuka: "My friend has an Apartment complex not far from here." Kohta butts in.

Kohta: "Is it a high rise and does it have a fence?" She hums and smirks.

"She even has that vehicle thingy that runs on gas!"

Noami: "The MLUV." Everyone, but Saya gazed at her in confusion. "Military light utility vehicle, my grandfather was ex-vet."

Saya: "I thought you're going to be useless." Marcus lightly elbows her arm. "Ow! Anything, you wanna to say?!" Marcus only zips his lips, looking away while she growls.

Kakashi: "Ok, Shizuka you're with me." They walked up the hill while everyone did their thing.

Marcus and Samantha sit on the ground watching the river breeze pass the Betsu bridge.

The experts and Eddie appeared sitting by them. Takeo by Marcus while the rest by Samantha.

Takeo: "An apartment complex?" Marcus was going to explain, but Tank cut him off.

Tank: "A temple shrink in size of a house with improvements." Takeo hums, trying to take in the advice.

Afterlife Finn: "What a weird band of soldiers." His voice echoes Marcus's head.

Edward: "You know, you're lucky I can't struggle you, but I have my ways." Marcus and Afterlife Finn gasps.

Tank: "Shocker, a ghost inside his head." He rolls his eyes.

Ed: "I thought there weren't real." He said, under his breath while Nikolai grabs his shoulder. He shyly looks up at him

Nikolai: "You do, now." He smirks while he lightly smirks back.

Afterlife Finn: "I-uh...I got nothing." Marcus and Samantha snicker.

Marcus: 'Do you guys ever get to relax like this?' Everyone along the ground takes in their environment.

Takeo: "At war, you take the environment as strategy and nothing more."

Samantha: "I never got to." Marcus looks to Samantha, while everyone kept their gaze straight. "All my life I was trap in the endless abyss watching my counter-part wreak havoc across the cosmos...Darkness swallows my mind, heart...and my innocence."

Marcus brows, frown.

Marcus: "I have a feeling Apollo chose you not at random." Samantha looks back at Marcus.

Afterlife Finn: "That guy... is more complex with his morals."

"Making him, harder to read." They gaze back at the bridge.
