Marimo Part - 05

Somewhere in a dark forest with purple sky there stood a three storied long L shaped building. In side the building there were many rooms divided by glass. And many researchers could be seen working there. A young girl with black hair and brown eyes were walking towards the office adjacent to the largest lab in the building. This lab was the most important one in the building and occupied a large portion on the third floor of the building. And the office it belonged to someone who everyone revered and feared from the bottom of their heart.

The girl carrying some papers in her hands stood in front of the office door. She hesitated for a while not knowing whether she should knock or not. As the news she was about to give to the person inside the room may anger him. Still there was no way to avoid this. After hesitating for a while she resolved herself and prepared to knock on the door. Just when she was about to knock she heard a voice from the inside.

"Come in." The voice was calm and collected. The voice had a charm to it which will calm your mind immediately.

She did not hesitate anymore and entered the room immediately. As soon as she entered the room she saw a man who was standing in front of the glass window with his back facing her looking at the forest outside.

As soon as she entered the man turned around and looked at the girl. He was a bewitchingly beautiful and attractive young man who appeared to be in his early twenties, with light blue eyes and green hair that is slicked back. He had a mysterious aura around him which made him seem somewhat devilish.

He looked at her and waited for her to state her business. But even after waiting for a while the girl did not speak a word as if she was in a trance. "Ehem." He gave a light cough to attract the girl's attention.

Hearing the man' s cough the girl woke up from her trance with a startle. " Ahh... eh.. ah I am sorry, for being absent minded." As soon. as she woke up she bowed her head in apology to the man.

"It is ok. Raise your head. I am not upset about something like that." He asked the girl to get up from the bowing position.

"Ah yes, thank you for your kindness." Even though the man before him told her not to mind it. The girl was still a bit afraid of the man. This was not a surprise as the identity of the man was enough to make anyone be afraid of him and revere him.

"Do not be so stiff and relax." Again the man asked the girl to relax. "You seemed to be in such a hurry when you came in." Did something happen?" The man was used to the way sometimes people react to him. Just like how the girl reacted to him he was used to it. So he easily brushed it off and went straight to the point.

"Ah yes. I totally forgot." The girl stood straight up and became serious. Her whole demeanor changed as if she was a completely different person. "The device we sent to mars with NASA's orbiter sending information that did not make any sense." As soon as she said this the man became interested in the topic.

"Go on." He told her to continue.
