Marimo Part - 04

Few hours earlier, before Shiro even began to inspect the device. In United States of America NASA's headquarter. In the administrator's office. Suddenly the door opened with a loud noise and man in messy clothes walked into the room in a hurry. "Mr. Frederick!! we have an emergency."

"What happened? Why are you in such a rush John?" Frederick D. Gregory the present day administrator of National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA looked at the man who entered his room in such a loud manner and interrupted his nap. It was so hard for him to take a nap in this busy environment, that he did not like it whenever someone disturbed his hard earned rest.

"We have lost contact with a lot of our satellites and orbiters in the solar system." John Fredrick's secretary gave him the bad news.

"What? How is this possible? What happened?" Fredrick stood up from his chair in hurry all the drowsiness and anger went flying after he listened to John.

"That is not the worst part?" John looked at Fredrick fearful of his reaction.

"You are saying this is not bad enough!! Go ahead, tell me." Fredrick looked at John with eyes burning with rage.

"Gulp. We have lost contact with all the orbiters and landers from Mars. We can not contact Mars anymore no matter how much we tried it was useless." After finishing his words John looked at his boss waiting for the worst.

"Lost contact you say. Useless you say." Fredrick was literally shaking in anger. "Inhaling" Fredrick took a very large breath. "Exhale." Then exhale it with force. He did it a few more time and slowly calmed down.

"I am sorry I know this is not your fault so I apologize for my behavior." Fredrick knew that none of this was his secretary's fault but still it was really unbearable for him after listening to such bad news.

"It it... it's ok Mr. Fredrick. Your attitude is completely understandable." John replied in a very nervous voice.

"So what caused it? Any clue?" Since he calmed down a bit now his focus shifted to what might have caused such an disaster.

"Yes. The data shows us that there was a solar flare which occurred and damaged the crafts. And Mars was the one which was hit the hardest." According to the data recorded by NASA it showed that there was a Solar flare.

"A solar flare huh this may explain some but looking at you I guess there is more?"

"Yes. Even though there was a solar flare happening recorded, there is no observational data regarding such a thing happening. Also none of the ground based observatory can confirm the data. Nor there are any visible effects which we expect from a solar flare." A solar flare may cause many visual effects in Earth's atmosphere like aurora and such but there was no such thing. Even though there was data regarding the solar flare there was no visual confirmation from anywhere on Earth.

"You are saying even though it is recorded as solar flare, it might be something else, something very different than the solar flare?" Fredrick after listening to John came to the conclusion that what happened may have been something completely unknown and new to them.

"Yes there is that possibility too. May it's something different which could not be captured with vision alone." John agreed to what Fredrick said.

"Even if there is no visual there must be some type of trace. Something this huge there is no way there is no traces left. We just have to find it." As Fredrick said if something this huge happened there must be some traces. And besides it happened just in human's backyard.

"Understood we will look for traces. One more thing we are not the only ones who are effected by this. All the country in the world are suffering from this issue." It was not only NASA who was affected JAXA, ESA and other big and small space agencies were also affected by this one way or another.

"I see so this a global issue now. Let's go to the command center, I need more details." After hearing from john that NASA was not the only party who was affected by this, Fredrick became a little relieved as no one cane blame it on him now as the whole world got affected by this. As soon as he finished talking Fredrick started to walk toward the command center to get a full grasp on the situation.

"Yes sir." John quickly followed behind Fredrick.

Similar scenes were playing in all of the world's space agencies Big or small state owned or private. The whole world was in a huge turmoil. Because of one boy the scientists and astronauts from all over the world lost their sleep for who knows how long.
