High School DXD : Amen

God is dead , but that changes nothing. For as long as I believe in his teaching, he lives within my heart. Then again the bible says" Thou shalt not kill" and my job involves killing evil filth. Meh I'm sure god would've made an exception.

Chapter 10

[Omnisciencent POV]

"Bossman is being held down by that priest. We have to kill these two and go assist him" said a six-winged fallen.

"I know Talos, but these exorcists are slippery. They're using some kind of enhancement magic to increase their speed. I can't bloody hit them," another six-winged fallen in response

"No excuses Lanariel, if those devils take down the Cerberus pups the boss summons and join these two then we're finished" replied Talos while barely dodging a blow from Xenovia.

Any blow from Excalibur Destruction would prove his undoing. Even if it doesn't kill him the resulting injury would reduce his combat efficiency.

He created several green light spears and unleashed them at the exorcist duo.

Xenovia and Irina dodge the assault. Irina then charged in at Lanariel transformed her Excalubut Mimicry into a whip and unleashed a barrage of attacks. Forcing the fallen to stop the attack he was charging up.

"Xenovia we should use the technique he taught us and finish this quickly," said Irina multitasking talking to her teammate and keeping her opponent on the back foot

"Hnmm you might be right." agreed Xenovia."I shall create the opening," she said. She raised her weird above her head and charged it with light energy. Because of the nature of the sword, the energy took on a reddish-black aura and crackled with excess energy. She swung the sword and struck the ground sending out a wave of destructive holy energy that cracked the ground as it pulsed forward kicking up dust as it forced the fallen to retreat further back.

Xenovia then calmed her aura and focused on the ability Ezekiel taught them to focus even at the lowest level. It also required a physique that could handle it and as the levels of the ability increased so did the strain on the body, hence the need for a resilient physique and potent endurance.

"Are you ready Xen-chan?" asked Irina with some excitement in her tone. Despite the risk that comes with the ability, possessing this skill showed their progress and the trust Ezekiel had in them as this skill was one taught exclusively to church enforces who are trained to withstand the strain from an age. The rituals done in them as kids also enhance their bodies, most spells that would be considered suicide to others are the basics for them. The spells Ezekiel taught then carried risks if not done right or if you were not strong enough. But he good the entry point is high class. And after the training, he put them through they both are currently at peak llow-highclass and medium-high class respectively.

"I'm ready Irina, let's make him proud" Xenovia responded and Irina nodded showing that she too wanted to make Ezekiel proud.

{Time Alter Double Accel}x2

Upon entering the chant both of them immediately sped leaving after images as they charged toward the fallen angel duo.

The duo couldn't keep up with their movements at all. The spell they used or at least the most common and most used of it allows the user to move faster than the eye can see. It seems to increase blood flow, hemoglobin metabolism, and muscle movement all at the same time. Which is why a strong body is needed. That kind of sudden increase in activity within the body could a least if the person is lucky cause shock. The spell also increases reaction speed allowing for split-second evasion from enemy attacks. Double accel is its weakest but still very effective in most combat situations.

Talos fired barrage after barrage of light spears, a move that Lanariel mimicked together they created a wide area that would be difficult to traverse without injury. But their opponents did just that as cuts began to appear on their bodies.

Talos created a green double-edged light spear and trusted in the direction he felt the most danger. His judgment was correct but the spear broke and Excalibur's destruction pierced through his chest.

Lanariel seeing his comrade fall spread his wings and took off but before he could get enough elevation. A who wrapped around his foot a pulled him downward with enough for me to slam him into the ground. He got up and looked around for the other exorcist and looked duo runtime to Irina dance through the air and descend with grace and speed too fast for him to counter. He blinked and his vision tilted the last thing he saw before the darkness consumed his consciousness was his body collapsing into the ground.

Xenovia and Irina seeing their targets successfully eliminated and deactivated the spell. Irina collapsed on booth knee taking a deep breath. Xenovia was slightly better off on one knee but no less exhausted.

They looked at each other and smiled before the clashing of weapons drew their attention.

"We've done our part, Irina. He'll do his" said Xenovia with conviction.

"I know I know, but I can still worry" she replied with concern in her tone.

"Hmm, we still have one job left to do," said Xenovia looking at the rogue bishop hiding near the gymnasium

"Right, he has to pay for what he's," said Itrina following her gaze.

-Meanwhile-

Ezekiel evaded a horizontal slash from Kokabiel before countering with an upward vertical slash and adding a surge of blue holy flames that the fallen cadre barely dodged. But Ezekiel didn't let up slash after slash and Kokabiel couldn't fully evade each time and was taking small cuts that were cauterized instantly by the head of the blade causing him no small amount of pain. Kokabiel unleashes a pulse of energy forcing Ezekiel a few steps back and begins gathering energy for an attack.

"You persistent pest, I'm give you that" Ezekiel gets into a defensive stance preparing to counter whatever was coming.

"I had using this. It reminds me of my time in Try Heavens. But desperate times." As Kokabiel begins to channel the power of the stars, the atmosphere around it shimmers with ethereal energy. A celestial aura envelops Kokabiel's form, and its eyes glow with the brilliance of distant galaxies. The fallen angel raises its outstretched arms towards the heavens, and a cosmic rift tears open above. A torrent of shimmering stardust descends from the celestial breach, converging into a colossal, radiant sphere in Kokabiel's grasp. The sphere pulsates with the energy of a thousand stars, casting an otherworldly glow across the battlefield. Kokabiel's wings, now aglow with astral hues, spread wide as the fallen angel unleashes the cataclysmic force.

"From the heavens, I draw the wrath of a thousand stars. The celestial fury unleashed, let the cosmos weep as I bring forth the STELLAR CATACLYSM!" With a resounding incantation, Kokabiel hurls the celestial sphere towards the ground. Upon impact, the sphere erupts into a dazzling display of starbursts, releasing waves of destructive light in all directions. The heavens weep as the Stellar Cataclysm engulfs the battlefield, leaving behind a celestial aftermath that echoes the wrath of the fallen angel of the stars.

Ezekiel's eyes widened a fraction before he shook his expression and tightened his grip on his sword. He thought about using one of his more destructive moves but changed his mind as in this case, precision was needed.

Ezekiel raised his sword above his head and charged at the incoming attack.

As Ezekiel raises Gladius Divinum high above his head, the blade begins to radiate with a blinding, divine light. The air around him shimmers with the anticipation of the upcoming miracle.

"In the shadow of chaos, where darkness dares to creep, Ezekiel calls upon the power that parts the mighty deep. With sword raised high, anointed by divine decree, Rift of Redemption, emerge, and let the light decree. As Moses of old commanded the sea to divide, So too shall this blade part, in righteousness to confide. A chasm of salvation, a pathway through the night, the Rift of Redemption, manifest, reveals the sacred light. Divine radiance, part the veil of despair, Let the ethereal seam show the path of care. Temporal respite, healing in thy wake, Rift of Redemption, the divine journey you shall make. By His Name, this sacred rift is sown, A tapestry of light in darkness overthrown. Temporal currents, thy will shalt bind, Rift of Redemption, the divine path we find. As the sword descends, part the fabric of strife, Let divine energy flow, bringing healing to life. By this sacred chant, by the celestial decree, RIFT OF REDEMPTION, part, and set the captive free."

As he swings the sword downward, a luminous rift emerges, extending horizontally along the path of the blade. The rift appears like a celestial seam in reality, glowing with ethereal radiance. It creates a visual spectacle as if the fabric of the universe itself is temporarily parted, revealing a path of divine or in this case, a path to Kokabiel whose ultimate move was cut in half.

Kokabiel was shocked but had no time to despair as Ezekiel's charge continued and gold-tinted blue flames began to coat his sword.

Kokabiel pushed all the energy he had left into Excalibur, which was sporting several cracks. He raised the sword above his head and dark-tinted light energy erupted and formed a pillar of concentrated light.

"RAHHHHHHH" Kokabiel roared and swung the blade down bringing the pillar of tainted light down as well.

Ezekiel seeing the attack showed no fear or change in expression. His eyes blaze with an intense, potent light, casting a sacred golden glow on his surroundings.

"In the shadows of sin and the echoes of despair,

Abyssal echoes, beware, beware.

Ezekiel, a beacon of divine light,

Calls forth judgment, swift and bright. Gaze into the eyes, the cross ablaze,

Perdition's path, the fiery maze.

By celestial decree, by righteous might,

Unleash the wrath, the eternal light. Malevolence quivers, darkness flees,

As the sword descends, the land it frees.

Shockwaves ripple, flames ignite,

Perdition's embrace, the purifying light. To the fallen, a reckoning nears,

In the whispers of judgment, their fate appears.

A celestial storm, a fiery wraith,

Perdition's call, the price of faith." as the chant finished his eyes shone so bright no pupils could be seen. He swung his sword.

"I INVOKE PERDITIONS WRATH"

Perdition's Wrath unleashes a devastating attack that embodies divine retribution. Ezekiel strikes his target with the sword, causing a cataclysmic shockwave that erupts from the point of impact, rending the very earth asunder. The shockwave radiates outward in all directions, consuming everything in its path. The shockwave shatters the ground, creating deep chasms and craters. Structures crumble, and the earth is torn apart, causing immense damage to anything in its wake. As the shockwave advances, it is engulfed in searing, purifying flames. These flames cleanse and purify the surroundings, vanquishing dark forces and leaving behind a scorched path of righteousness.

As his last desperate attempt was consumed by the very flames that would soon consume him. Kokabiel dropped Excalibur which shattered on impact. He held out both his arms by his side and accepted his fate.

The flames engulfed the fallen who thankfully was given no time to suffer and was disintegrated. The residual effect of the attack finally calmed down. See his opponent was no more Ezekiel sheathed his blade. Just as he was about to calm his aura down his eyes wide. He pointed his sword in a direction opposite the battlefield sensing something amiss.

"Show yourself"

At first, nothing happened but then a trail of blue came from the direction he pointed before stopping in front of him. And he saw who the assailant was. Dined in white armor bearing dragon's feature with blue translucent wings. The individual that stood before him was this generation White Dragon Emperor.
