Chapter 113: Welcome to Ogygia

Island of Ogygia, Mediterranean Sea

August 26th, 1228 - Saturday

"You are on the island of Ogygia, of course."

The teen-looking woman replied. Selena, Serafall, and Erik made an 'O' face at that. Now they knew who this teen-looking woman really was.

"So you must be Calypso, then?"

Selena says after recovering from the 'shock' of knowing where they were. The teen-looking woman slowly nods her head in confirmation.

"Yes… I am Calypso."

Calypso says.

"How do you know that?"

She asks while looking at Selena.

"Oh… You must not receive a lot of news while being alone here on this Island. Well… The age of the Greeks has ended a lot of years ago. Like, more than a thousand years ago. Their pantheon lost a lot of influence and is now just a speck of what used to be in its golden era."

Selena started saying, and Calypso listened to her attentively.

"Their golden age has been gone for so long, that the tales of their Heroes had become legends. Histories of a distant past. And one of the most famous ones is from a man that once passed by this island, Odysseus."

Selena says while observing Calypso's reaction. She got nothing more than a twitch in the corner of an eye.

"So that leecher managed to reach his home?"

Calypso said without much of a change in her expression. Selena nodded her head at that.

"The legend says so, but if it is truly what happened or not, I don't know. There is a popular saying from where I came from that says: Who tells a tale, increments."

Selena says to Calypso, still measuring her reactions. And she is not left wanting. Calypso's face starts to morph into one of fury.

"Yeah? And what does this legend says about me?"

Calypso asks Selena.

"Well, they tell that you had held him prisoner here in Ogygia for seven years to be your husband. Until you could not take anymore, and after having truly fallen in love with him, let him go back to his true wife in Ithaca."

Selena said and slowly saw Calypso's face getting red in fury. Until she exploded, metaphorically speaking, of course.

"That… That… Absolute leecher of a piece of human trash!"

Calypso said while fuming. She then let out a sigh and seemed to deflate with it.

*sigh*

"He told me that he loved me since his first days on this island. I resisted his advance for as long as I could, but in the end, I succumbed to his charm."

Calypso started saying sadly.

"One year… It had taken only one year for him to get tired of me and this Island. Then, after promising the world to me, that he would come back to take me with him, etc, he sailed out of this island and never came back. I kept my hopes up for the first years, but then it hit me. He would not come back."

Calypso finished saying sadly. At that Serafall jumped at the teen-looking woman and embrace her, bringing Calypso's head to her bosom. The nigh-immortal goddess, feeling the heat of another person for the first time in what could have been thousands of years, couldn't hold back anymore and started to cry while hugging Serafall back.

"There, there. Let it all out, Cali. Let out all that is stuck inside of you for all those years."

Serafall gentle said to calypso, and the goddess did exactly that. Selena gave Erik a look and approached the hugging girls. With one hand, she then started to caress Calypso's back with slow circular motions.

"Right… I will go and take some supplies from the yacht to prepare us some food. Be right back."

Erik said and, with his body flashing a blue aura for an instant, flew to Helena's Revenge. He knew that look coming from Selena. He had seen that look some times in his life and it was normally after some female student or teacher had some type of breakdown. What Calypso needed now was a shoulder to cry. A female one that would listen to her and not judge. And Erik would give Selena and Serafall the space to do just that.

Two hours later, Erik was flying back from Helena's Revenge while holding a big metallic structure. During these two hours that he had given to the girls, Erik was inside his workshop in Helena's Revenge building something that he thought was a must-have for a night on a warm beach.

When Erik arrived back at the beach, he saw the three women talking and laughing together. The pearls of laughter coming from Calypso were a sheer contrast with the crying goddess that he had seen before. Erik smiled at that while landing.

"Hey girls. I took the time to build something for us to use in our dinner."

Erik said, getting the women's attention while putting the thing that he had built in the sand. The three women looked curiously at the thing. It was entirely made of metal, with a cylindrical shape with four feet that held it horizontally. On its side was something that looked like a handle made of metal that was twisted in a spring format and, in what would be the top of the side if one took the ' springy handle' as being the front, was a metal pipe that strongly resembled a chimney. Selena, Serafall, and Calypso looked curiously at the metal invention.

"And what would that be, husband?"

Selena asked Erik, who took the metal springy handle and pulled it up, opening the metallic cylinder. Inside it, what the women saw was a metallic grill.

"This, my lovely wife, is a barbecue grill."

Erik said while removing the grill and depositing some charcoal inside it after having summoned it with a snap of his fingers. With another 'snap', Erik lit the charcoal on fire and, after certifying himself that the fire had been lit successfully, closed the lid of the barbecue grill after putting the grill back in place. Slowly, plumes of white smoke started to get out of it through the chimney in its top side, and without bothering the group, rose to the skies. The three women watched in fascination while Erik was doing all this. For them, it looked like some kind of ritual.

With the grill starting to warm, Erik conjured a table and summoned some ingredients from their pantry inside Helena's Revenge. Cuts of chicken, pig, and ox appeared on the conjured table together with mushrooms, apples, carrots, onions, and different smelling spices, which most of them Erik had gotten during their trips to India and Africa.

Calypso watched in fascination as Erik prepared everything with the dexterity of someone very used to doing that. This man who was the husband of the two women who had befriended her had very dexterous hands for preparing food.

'Hmm… I wonder what more he could do with those dexterous hands…'

Calypso caught herself thinking and blushed a little. She then started to criticize herself for having that kind of thought about the husband of her new friends.

'Hold your horses, Calypso.'

She said to herself inside her head. She didn't notice, but Selena had a small smirk in the corner of her mouth after seeing the goddess blush.

It didn't take long for Erik to complete his 'ritual' with the ingredients. With the grill being brought to the right temperature, Erik opened the lid up and put the ingredients that would take more time to cook first. The meat sizzled when it made contact with the hot iron of the grill. And having put the food to smoke/grill, Erik looked at the three women who were watching him work. He smiled at them and summoned some lawn chairs and beverages for them to sit, drink and talk while waiting for the food to be ready.

The talk for the night was a light one, with mainly Erik and Selena telling stories of their trips around the world and Serafall telling stories about her day-to-day in the underworld. Serafall had some very 'juice' gossip about what some Devils had done or not done.

That night, Calypso went to bed with a very happy smile on her face. A smile that had not been seen on her face for thousands of years. She only wished that this was not another stupid prank from the gods. Their idea of punishment was a twisted one sometimes.

Calypso opened her eyes in a startled manner. It was already morning and one more day in Ogygia was starting. Her mind then went to the occurrences of the past day and she jumped from her bed. Quickly, Calypso changed her clothes from her sleeping ones to her common toga and started to run to the beach.

'Please, don't let it be a dream. Please, don't let it be a dream. Please, don't let it be a dream…'

Calypso repeated that 'mantra' inside her head while running to the beach where she had eaten barbecue with her friends last night. When she jumped out of the forest and into the beach, Calypso came across Erik organizing a table with a lot of things to eat. Calypso then let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding until now.

'It was not a dream!'

She giddy thought inside her head. Erik looked at her and smiled.

"Good morning, sleepyhead. Take a seat, breakfast will be ready soon."

Erik said and went back to organizing the table. His smile had set in motion some butterflies inside her stomach. She knew what was happening. And it was too soon!

"Where are Sally and Sera?"

Calypso asked Erik while taking a seat. Her talk with the two women had been so 'deep' that they had started to call themselves by shortened names, and in Selena's case, by her second name. She then looked at all the delicious-looking things on the table and her mouth watered at the fragrance coming from some of them.

"They tend to sleep a little more during weekends. But they will be coming soon."

Erik replied to Calypso while remembering about the wild night that he and the girls had yesterday with them trying to 'punish' him for 'being mean' with Serafall. No sooner said than done, Selena and Serafall landed on the beach. Each one walked to Erik first and kissed him. They then walked to Calypso and hugged the teen-looking goddess.

"Good morning, love. Good morning Cali."

Serafall said. Something that was mirrored by Selena.

"Good morning."

Calypso replied while the two women took their seats. After the breakfast, which had Calypso moaning most of the time with the delicious things she was eating, that she later discovered were prepared by Erik himself, Calypso gave a tour of the Island of Ogygia to the group. Calypso showed them all of her favorite spots. From the orchard and garden that she cultivated carefully, to her favorite place with a view of the sea, which, coincidently, was a place where one could see where Helena's Revenge had been anchored. Calypso had fun with her new friends in a way that she had never had in the past.

The next day, Serafall had to go back to the underworld to return to her job and left Erik, Selena, and Calypso alone in Ogygia. Erik retired himself to his workshop and left the two women alone to talk or do whatever they wanted.

Calypso and Selena were taking bath in the pond of freshwater that Calypso often used when Selena came from behind Calypso and hugged her soft body to hers. The goddess let out a 'yeep' sound in surprise at the skin contact. She could feel Selena's breasts on her back and gulp at that. If one thing that her years of isolation had taught her was to not be picky. Selena, being a head taller than Calypso, brought the goddess with her to the limit of the pond and took a seat in a submerse stone, pulling the goddess to her lap. Calypso had to admit, she was liking very much the skin contact and 'dived' into Selena's hug, snuggling into her naked body comfortably. The two women stood there, in silence for a time. Just enjoying each other's presence.

"So, Cali, what do you think of Erik?"

Selena asked, dropping the bomb on Calypso.
