Chapter 3

‍Henley

I woke up early and get ready to school, after eating breakfast dad drive me to school. I got to my locker and pick some book's to read because I don't have class now.

" hey henly " juliea said as she approach me.

" Hi Julie...  Do you also have free time? " I ask

" yeah, thank god I found you " she said looking behind me.

Her expression change just as she stare at something I didn't notice when I was coming.

I followed her gaze, there was a group of student talking and laughing, there at the middle was Edward son, I exhale as i saw him. " I understand you Julie"

She place her hand on my shoulder looking into my eyes. " I don't like him.. " she exhale and continue " I have to learn how to like him because he's my uncle child (cousin). " 

She said and the worried in her voice was obvious, she never mention that she's also a part of Edward family, or was it because we just meet yesterday that she can't tell me all about her.

" so Julie, you are also Edward family, why did you hate your family? "

" You don't know who is Edward "

I could tell she's ashamed of what she said. " Julie, You are a good person, I like you, and I know what ever reason that makes you hate them is a good reason for everyone to hate them "

" You are the only one who understand me henly... Thank you henly " she said and pull me in a hug.

She tell me little about the two Edward children  khristopher and Henry and there mother. After the first class, we eat our lunch at the cafeteria and head back to class, we had a lot of fun with all the girls before the teacher came in.

And it all went fast, we are done for today, we walk out of the school hallway heading to the packing lot.

" so who's up for picnic tomorrow? " Emily ask

I almost forgot that tomorrow is off day, I love spending time alone with my parents so I won't hang out.

" my boyfriend is back in town so I won't be free tomorrow " sandra said

" actually I will be free but I want to pay a visit to my girlfriend henly" juliea said

" OMG, I you serious Julie!?, my parents would love to meet you " I said with my eyes wide. I don't know if she's serious but I will love to see her in our house.

" wow, that was a great idea but I can't visit tomorrow.... Sorry baby... I promise to visit some other time " Emily smile slowly turn to sadness.

I put one of my hands on her shoulder making her feel better. " it's okay Emily... We all understand you "

She smile as I finish. Sandra and Emily left as so as we get to the packing lot.

I texted juliea our house address and we embrace once before she left.

Dad was little bit late today. I was about to get a cab when i saw him from the distance. The drive home was nice, I told father a lot about juliea expect The part she said she's Edward family, I don't want my father to know that juliea is Edward family, father might know who Edward is and he will stop me for been with juliea.

I got home, take a shower and change into something nice, I meet mom at garden fixing more flowers. My mom love decorating especially with flowers. She knows exactly how to make garden flowers look attractive.

" mom.... I can tell you love gardening " I approach her.

" gardening is my hobby when I was like you " she said not looking at me.

" Wow mom, they are beautiful " I notice the one she just planted. " I want to be just like you mom"

" how was school today " she change the topic.

" it was good..... And we are off tomorrow " I sit very close to her. I wanted to tell her about juliea visiting us, dad was already happy about it. " mom you remember my friend juliea? "

She look back at me sudden " Yes.. What about her? "

" she wanted to visit me tomorrow "

" visit! How??...  I mean you guys just meet yesterday. Why is she so interested in you?. " she said in shock

" Mom... She wanted to spend sometimes with me so we can know each other.. She's nice mom "

" I understand honey.... I was just.... Maybe she likes you " she commented     " anyway, she's welcome  to carters home"

I smiled as she embrace me. There is nothing warmer than mothers hug.

We talk and laugh till she finish.

After eating dinner, I walk with Linda to her room, I watch her as she lay on her tiny bed. Dad took mom with him to grab some items at the store.

I gradually start walking out but linda stop me.

" tell me a story " she said. I know mom always tell her story before she sleep but I never for once try to learn bed story's, " please " she added as she notice The frown.

" Okay... " I said and sit beside her, I close my eyes trying to remember any story but still nothing, I sigh. " lin... I "

She cut me off " tell me the story about 'Henry and Henley '." She sit up ready to listen.

" What story is that?... " I ask " did mom tell you story about Henry and Henley? "

" Yes, she tell me the story everyday.."

She said " she didn't finish it "

" alright lin today you are the one to tell me a story " I said

" mom told me is base on true love... " she stop as she  close her eyes, ' maybe she want to remember the story ' " is about Henry who was truly in love with a six years old Henley, they both make a deal ' together forever ' was the deal but there parents doesn't like them together. Henry father want Henry to get married to his boss daughter because his boss is rich. Henry was just a little boy at ten and his father have already made him a wife. Henley can't tell what was that, she know nothing about love but still she cry everyday just because henry was not with her. Henley and Henry decide to run to another place so they could be together. After a year of sorrow to there parents. The both parents become enemies that they fight every single day. At that moment every family blame each other for the disappearance of those HHlovers. The HHlovers name become popular at every country but still no any idea were those HHLovers are. "

" Henley " mom snap cutting Linda off, I was scared at first but than realize it was mom but still, mom have never shout at anyone before but now she did, but why, did we do something wrong?  I watch her as her anger slowly disappear.

" mother..... Are you okay?? " I ask

" You seems angry "

Suddenly her expression change. Her face was elated " oh I was just tired " she smile " and shock to hear lin telling you story instead of you telling her "

" You told her the HHLOVERS story and I never heard that so I ask her to tell me little of the story " I said curiously " mom can you tell us more??. "

She open up to say something but she stop as dad walk in. " Henley.. The HHLOVERS story has been forbidden and is not allowed to be told to anyone, I talk to your mom never to tell lin, I just don't know why she keep telling her " he explain

Why would a story be forbidden, I want to think more about it but something stop me, my parents can never lie to me, " am sorry mom, dad I make lin tell me the story am not aware that is forbidden, am sorry lin" I said before I walk out.

I wanted to believe what they told me but I  just don't know why my mom face change like she was about to cry, maybe we hurt them, maybe they hide something for us, but why?  What would they hide for us in a story.

I lay on my bed my face on my phone. I text juliea and her respond was quick.

I smile as i put my phone in the drawer, and the thought of the story came back to me, I tried to push it off my head but I couldn't so I sleep it up...
