Heroine Addict (Marvel x Arifureta Crossover)

There was nothing too out of the ordinary about his second life. Well, his own life specifically that is. The world he lived in was mildly insane. The Avengers were constantly throwing down with a seemingly endless number of villains of the week. The X-Men were a daily presence in the news as they struggled to promote goodwill towards their people. Alien invasions and exiled gods popped up from time to time. Typical crazy stuff. As a normal human, he really couldn't afford to get wrapped up in that level of nonsense. Thankfully, Japan seemed to be relatively calm compared to the circus that was America. Seriously, what could he even do against enemies like Magneto, Loki, or Thanos? Spending his days flirting with his cute classmates and lazing around sounded much better in his books. Hm? Why do his classmates this year look so familiar? Is that Shizuku Yaegashi? A voice in his head? Superpowers? Immortality? Gorgeous, super-powered women? Hmm... It would appear that Japan just might need its own superhero to act as a deterrent to Avengers level threats after all! With a power like this it would almost be a crime to not do all he could to accumulate power and save the world. Yep, he was just doing a public service here. No ulterior motives whatsoever, thank you very much. Oh? The sinister six have captured Spider-Man and are about to execute him on live television? Sorry, can't help. Saving the world at the moment. Any reports that placed him at a campus bar flirting with Gwen Stacy at the time of the broadcast were false, obviously. Everyone he does he does for the sake of protecting the Earth! Everything. He meant everything. Sorry? What was that? Is that Black Widow? Well, looks like the world will be saved quite a bit tonight. Harem/Smut/R18+

The Yaegashi Clan

The class calmed down and Aiko finally managed to start class for the day. Not that most of the students were paying much attention to her.

Shizuku glanced at Ryuu out of the corner of her eyes every few minutes, unable to fight her near constant blush. She was intrigued and a little intimidated by the new student.

He came out of nowhere and said some ridiculous things. He was so full of confidence that she even found herself wondering if she really did have a fiancé?

At this point, Shizuku wasn't even sure if her family had something to do with this or not. Setting her up with a tall, dark, and handsome husband was exactly something that her mother would do.

Her father and grandfather, on the other hand, would never allow a boy to sniff around their beloved daughter and granddaughter.

She couldn't deny that she found Ryuu fascinating, even after only one brief interaction.

Shizuku was usually treated as a dependable older sister by both her classmates and her kendo club. Ryuu was the first boy to ever make her feel like a cute, attractive girl.

Shizuku's mannerisms were obviously seen by Ryuu and Kouki. Every time Shizuku glanced at Ryuu she would blush. Ryuu would smile and Kouki's face would blacken a little further.

This continued until their lunch break started and their science teacher left the classroom, grumpy that his students seemingly lacked focus that day.

After the teacher left, the entire class erupted with noise. Obviously, they were gossiping about the new student and Shizuku.

Shizuku gave Ryuu one last look before she left the classroom with Kaori and some of the other girls. Ryuu knew they were going to be talking about him as well. Being the center of attention was so much fun.

Bang!

Kouki slammed his hand down on Ryuu's desk, towering over him menacingly.

"You! Who do you think you are!?" Kouki yelled. He was really worked up.

Ryuu thought that even without his status as a hero, Kouki was still an entitled little shit.  Ryuu couldn't wait to see more of Kouki's ugly expressions. He really hated this clown.

"Me? Didn't I say earlier? I'm Shizuku's future husband. It really is an honour to meet you, Amanogawa-san. Thank you for being a good friend to my girl all these years. It's always a relief when the person you love has such steadfast and loyal friends."

Ryuu's voice was smooth, low, and he sized Kouki up like he was prey. He was noticeably relaxed, like a jungle cat lounging in the trees, waiting to pounce.

A shiver went down Kouki's spine as he and Ryuu stared each other down.

Kouki couldn't help taking a step back at Ryuu's subtle aggression. He felt like he was in danger. For the first time in his life, he was afraid of someone his own age.

Kouki's fear mixed with his indignation and anger, further amplified by Ryuu's nonchalant demeanor. Kouki ignored the warnings from his instincts and thought about dragging Ryuu outside to teach him a lesson.

Kouki looked at Ryuu suspiciously.

"How did you even know my name? I've never seen you before." Kouki asked, accusingly.

Ryuu was beginning to get a little annoyed with the pretty-boy but decided to mess with him a little. Angering the boy-wonder was fun.

"Well, Shizuku doesn't talk much about her school friends. Shizuku's parents, Koichi and Kirino, told me all about Shizuku's friends over some tea. They also helped me enroll at this school so we could be together." Ryuu lied shamelessly in a cheerful and friendly manner.

"Shuuzou-san and I were playing a game of chess the other day when he mentioned you as well, Amanogawa-san. You've been training at the Yaegashi dojo with Shizuku for a long time. I admire your dedication." Ryuu continued with a straight face.

Kouki's temper flared. He couldn't stand it when this bastard talked about Shizuku with familiarity. He could tell that Ryuu was experienced with women and that set him on edge.

Ryuu didn't have the air of a bumbling high school student with a crush. He was blatant and brazen with his desires.

Kouki held his tongue and decided he needed to speak with Shizuku. This guy got under his skin in the worst way. Kouki hurriedly left the classroom to look for her.

With his entertainment gone, Ryuu was bored once again. The worst part of reincarnation was definitely the years spent redoing his schooling.

Now that he had powers and concrete plans for the future, he had no need for a mundane education.

With the contacts he was planning to make he could fabricate an identity for himself with any kind of background he wanted. No need to stick it out for the long haul.

He relaxed at his desk over break and watched his new classmates. He was approached a few times and made polite conversation.

Hiyama Daisuke, the would-be murderer and defiler of corpses, glared at him from his corner of the room. He was speaking lowly with his gang while they all sneaked glances at Ryuu.

He met their eyes when they looked at him and they quickly looked away like they were stung, every time. They could tell he wasn't an easy target.

When Kaori and Shizuku returned Ryuu was given a prime seat to the love-comedy interactions between Kaori and Hajime that earned Hajime the ire of Daisuke and Kouki.

The students slowly trickled back in, and their lunch break was soon over.

Not much happened for the rest of the day, aside from some more curious looks from Shizuku and glares from Kouki.

After class was over, Ryuu pulled Shizuku off to the side before either she or Kouki could interject.

Ryuu leaned in close to her and spoke quietly, "I'll see you at your house later, Shizuku. There are many things we need to talk about. I have a feeling you're in for quite a few surprises."

Ryuu couldn't help but think that Shizuku really blushed a lot around him. He wondered how she would look at him after he tore her normal world to shreds. Her family would surely have some interesting reactions to his plans.

Shizuku stepped back to put some distance between them. No matter how attractive she found Ryuu, she had only met him that morning.

"You had better have a good explanation for all of this. I know my family has a long history, but I don't think my parents would arrange a marriage for me without telling me." Shizuku said with narrowed eyes.

Damn. Ryuu really was hopelessly attracted to her. Even her slightly angry look aroused him to no end. He really needed to cool it or get laid. Preferably the latter. He was still technically a virgin after all. No wonder he was so pent up.

He quickly reassured her, "No need to worry. Even if I didn't have an agreement with your family, I would still do my best to seduce you."

Shizuku's eyebrows rose in surprise, and she leaned back. She really didn't know how to deal with this boy. With a soft huff she walked off. She needed to talk to her parents.

Ryuu watched her walk away and was seriously contemplating finding a cloning ability so that he wouldn't have to attend classes.

He'd been bored for so long he almost felt tired, which was a testament to how truly dull high school was. He did have enough energy swirling around inside him to run around the entire world, after all.

Oh well, he only had to suffer a couple months of high school life. Hopefully he could spend his time flirting with his future wife.

Damn, he really sounded like a harem protagonist just now, didn't he? Does self-awareness make it better? Eh, who cares. He would do whatever he wanted.

The Yaegashi dojo was a legitimate business teaching self-defense and martial arts to the city's police force along with quite a few individual students.

Of course, the Yaegashi clan had a hidden side beyond that that not even Shizuku knew about.

They hailed from a long line of shinobi who practiced real ninjutsu. Crazy. Real Naruto-style ninjas in modern Japan. Hell, their headquarters were directly underneath their dojo, which shared a space with their home. In the middle of the city in plain sight, no less.

At least they were easy to find. It only took Ryuu one quick online search, and he found their address.

As he prepared to pay a visit to his future in-laws, Ryuu had a thought. Demonic ninjas existed too.

Didn't the Hand technically run this country? Shit. He'd look into it. It was hardly something that could be dealt with in the two months he had before the summoning, so it wasn't a priority.

Ryuu wasn't a perfectly moral person, but he refused to let his country be run by some demon and its brain-damaged immortal cult. They'd been smoking the dragon bone kool-aid for a little too long. They'd have to go.

He noticed he had a few little followers when he was leaving the school. They were all teen girls with- were those Shinai? Wait. One of them had a real katana. What the hell?

Ryuu had forgotten about the reverence that Shizuku's juniors showed her. These damn fanatics actually frightened him a little. Especially that one small kouhai with the twin-tails and a real sword. Ryuu could feel genuine bloodthirst coming from her.

Obviously, these girls did not take well to the very accurate rumours of a boy targeting their beloved "Onee-sama".

Ryuu walked at normal speed until he was around the corner from the school before he accelerated in a flash, leaving behind only a streak of golden lightning and a gaggle of confused, sword-wielding girls.

It took him only half a minute to find his way to the Yaegashi clan's compound. It was as functional as it was beautiful. He had no doubt they could repel a decent force from the top of those walls. It would seem that the Yaegashi family was more outwardly wealthy than he thought.

He paused for a second before he ran up and over the fortified wall without missing a step.

He seemed to have good instinctive control over his powers. Running face first into the wall would have been embarrassing.

Ryuu had decided to forgo being polite as his plans for the Yaegashi clan were almost as important as his desire for Shizuku. He needed to make a strong showing.

He estimated that he had about 30 minutes before Shizuku returned home if she was walking. Maybe longer if she had kendo practice.

Either way he should have plenty of time to introduce himself. Maybe he could somehow convince Kirino to give him her daughter? Couldn't hurt to ask.

Lightning flashed in his eyes as Ryuu ran around the property faster than the eye could see. He noted many hidden guards, traps, and a surprising number of hidden spaces. They were a shinobi clan at the end of the day. What else should he expect?

He ignored the impressive manor house and focused on the traditional dojo that had a small number of students training. They were all ordinary people, so Ryuu decided to bypass the publicly available sections of the building.

It didn't take him long before he found a concealed doorway. There wasn't any possibility of this door leading upwards or outside from what he could see. Hopefully, this didn't lead to Kirino's bedroom. That would be awkward.

Ryuu couldn't find the mechanism to open the door so he decided to flex his new powers a little. Phasing couldn't be too hard, right?

Thankfully, it wasn't. He had all of the teachings of some of the greatest speedsters of all time deep in his memories. Ryuu thanked his goddess for the CW network and their hit-or-miss (mostly miss) superhero dramas.

Good ol' Eobard Thawne. Say what you want about him, but he was one hell of a charismatic teacher.

If you vibrate at the natural frequency of air, your body- your cells- will be in a state of excitement that should allow you to phase right through that wall...

You can do this....

I believe in you...

Breathe...

Breathe...

Feel the air... Feel that wind on your face... Feel the ground with your feet, lifting you up, pushing you forward... And the lightning... Feel the lightning... Feel its power... Its electricity, pumping through your veins, crackling through you, traveling to every nerve in your body like a shock!

You are no longer you now... You're part of something greater... You're part of a speed force.

It's yours.

Now do it.

Ryuu vibrated at increasing speeds until he felt the surrounding matter became weaker. It was a surreal sensation. It was as if he wasn't on solid ground any longer and could fall through the earth at a moment's notice.

He took a step forward, into and through the door.

And right into a blade stabbing directly towards his face.

Well, Ryuu really should have expected something like this. Ninjas, right?

Ryuu was a little disoriented from his first experience of moving through solid matter, but that didn't dull his exceptional reflexes. He ducked under the incoming blade and slid to the side of his attacker, his perception now sped up to the point where the blade was nearly motionless.

The stone staircase he found himself in did not have the best lighting, so he couldn't see much in detail, but he had definitely almost been murdered by a ninja.

Cool.

He didn't want to kill or cripple anyone here. Shizuku was the heir of the Yaegashi family, so he considered her people as his own. Between these ninjas and a certain rabbit-eared clan from another world, Ryuu was certain he would have more than enough loyal subordinates in the future.

Ryuu was as delicate as possible as he gave a soft chop to the ninja's neck and divested them of all of their weaponry. His attacker had an impressive arsenal. Shuriken, kunai, two swords of varying length, rope, some small vials filled with what had to be poisons and, hopefully, their counter-agents.

Ryuu used the ninja's rope to tie them up. He couldn't help but think that keeping rope on his person was a good idea. You never know when you might need some rope for some emergency bondage play- er- he meant he might need to keep some rope on hand to restrain his enemies after subduing them.

Ryuu really needed to get laid.

Now that he thought about it, Ryuu didn't know much about the capabilities of a modern ninja. There was a very good possibility that they already knew they had an intruder, and this wasn't just some randomly posted guard.

Well, it's not as though Ryuu was planning on being subtle.

For the first time, Ryuu tried connecting to the pocket dimension that was bound to his soul. With a single thought, all of Ryuu's liberated weaponry popped out of existence.

That didn't quite work as he was expecting. Apparently, he didn't even need to be touching something to pull it into his storage space. Oh, the possibilities. Why did his brain instantly think of ways to use this to mess with Kouki?

Sigh. Ryuu needed a better hobby.

After only a few moments to catch his breath, Ryuu was being attacked again. A ninja was corkscrewing through the air, feet first, from a hole that opened in the ceiling.

It was a splendid sneak attack, or it would've been if they hadn't shouted their technique beforehand. Ryuu chastised himself. Always remember to look up. Don't get distracted playing with new toys.

Ryuu sidestepped his attacker, who from his perspective was slowly twirling in the air and continued on down the stairs.

He decided to ignore all of the random disciples and see if he could bait out his targets. He didn't need to lay the smack down on every ninja in the building.

Ryuu encountered quite a few traps as he sped down towards the Yaegashi's hidden underground. They weren't anything he couldn't handle at first. Kunai and shuriken flew at him from the walls and ceiling, somehow always fired at just the right timing to intercept him as he ran.

When he reached the bottom of the long-ass staircase, he found himself in a narrow corridor with dim lighting. Out of the corner of his eye, Ryuu barely noticed two scythes arching towards him from his blind spots. One more punched through the floor in front of him with precision.

If he had just kept running forwards he probably would have been hit at least once. He was right to be extra cautious. Super speed or no super speed, this would be a challenge.

Oh well, nothing worth doing ever came easy.

Ryuu accurately slipped through the gaps between the attacks with some quick footwork. He was moving incredibly fast. It was impressive that he was encountering traps that could threaten him at all. Modern shinobi obviously had some real skills.

Ryuu was forced to take a hard step to dodge a rain of senbon that nearly caught him off guard. Mixed with the metal needles were needles made of glass as well. They were barely visible in the low lighting and Ryuu almost lost an eye to the first senbon that he didn't notice.

As he set his foot down and twisted his body to avoid the deadly weapons the floor gave out under him. He didn't panic and pushed off of the falling debris of the floor, beneath which he noticed an honest-to-god spike trap.

Ryuu really was living in a crazy world now, wasn't he?

He jumped up and ran horizontally up and along the wall to escape the pitfall. Ryuu needed to avoid a predictable path, as he wasn't sure if these traps were automated or if there were shinobi in the walls using skill to attack him.

He ran along the wall, to the ceiling, and down the opposite wall as he made his way through the long corridor. He left a whirlpool of lightning in his wake, spiraling along every surface.

He didn't manage to bypass all of the traps this way, but the unconventional movement helped.

After making his way through multiple armories worth of weapons, several trapped rooms, and a maze, Ryuu entered what looked to be a large training area.

Facing him was a veritable army of black-clad ninjas, which explained why he hadn't come across any more directly on his way there.

Ryuu finally slowed down and took a deep breath. That had been much harder than he was anticipating. All told, it took him about five minutes to get to this point.

Five minutes that would have killed a thousand normal people. Good grief.

Ryuu couldn't help but find the situation a little funny. He counted several dozen Yaegashi disciples, all of them armed to the teeth. What a welcoming committee.

Ryuu relaxed his stance a bit and coughed, "I'm guessing it was no coincidence that I just so happened to find the one entrance to your little secret base that was filled with enough traps to hold off an army?"

When Ryuu showed no inclination to begin a fight, the crowd released some of their tension, but they all kept their eyes on Ryuu like hawks.

The ninjas flowed as a group to the sides of the room, exposing two men wearing hakamas and a woman wrapped in a graceful blue kimono. They all had a certain pressure to them that radiated outwards.

Ryuu could easily guess who these three were. Yaegashi Shuuzou, Koichi, and Kirino, his future in-laws.

Before any of them could speak Ryuu lightly bowed and addressed the older man with long grey hair, "I'm sorry to barge in like this Shuuzou-san. To be completely honest, I was not expecting quite this much adventure on my visit here today."

The old shinobi inspected Ryuu solemnly. The world was a big place and he'd seen much, but nothing quite like this young man before him.

Koichi was glaring at Ryuu with murder in his eyes while Kirino eyed Ryuu speculatively.

Shuuzou didn't say a word before his eyes flashed and he dashed towards Ryuu with a swiftness well beyond that of ordinary men. His hakama swayed and a katana was unsheathed from nowhere.

Shuuzou closed the distance between him and Ryuu, slashing downwards, aiming directly at Ryuu's neck.

This chapter just kept going and going so I'm splitting it in two. Enjoy!
