Your friendly neighborhood, Leviathan

The battlefield looks tense. On one side, the atmosphere was thick as the kids were trying their best to concentrate on their opponent. They were like knights who were about to seize a city for their king. On the other side though, the opponent showed a clear indication of getting bored. He just casually stood there like the preparations from the other side doesn't matter to him at all.

'Can you appraise him?' Desmond asked while all of this was going on.

[Appraise him? That feature is locked. You have to unlock that by going to the store which… you cannot do right now but can do after saving her.]

'Ugh… Shitty as always.' He rolled his eyes.

[What the fuck did you say?]

'…Watch your little heroes fight, stupid.'

[It is better than hearing your annoying voice, fuckface]

'…'

On the other side, the battle has started. Four of the young heroes rushed towards the wolf while the remaining two stood behind them as support since they both are long ranged attackers who use magic.

The four young heroes surrounded the wolf. They circled him while the wolf started to swirl his chain around.

"Here I go. Huuuup." The blonde suddenly lunged at the wolf while coating his sword with his energy. This was, of course, parried by the wolf using the chain but before he can counterattack, some ice shards suddenly flew toward him. He simply sidestepped to let them pass.

*Clang* The sound of metal on metal reverberated through the area as the wolf blocked a sudden swing from an axe-wielding young hero.

"Not bad… For a bunch of kids, of course." The wolf grabbed the axe with bare hands but was forced to release it as he was bombarded by ice shards and fireballs. He took some steps back and swung his chain to destroy the remaining projectiles which were aimed at him.

He was immediately attacked by the four kids, this time they attacked together. The blonde used his sword, and one of the kids used his special ability of gigantification on his hands, both of his hands started to swell, and he swung it down with full force in an attempt to crush the lone wolf. The other two also used their special powers, but it was all for naught as the wolf just simply stood there, doing nothing.

*Boom*

The ground shook and dust started to rise due to the force of the punch. The area was filled with dust.

"Did we get him?" The kid with gigantification, Tom, asked.

"He didn't do anything, though." Said the other kid.

"He must be exhausted. Maybe that's why he didn't block the attack. We must've caught him, right?"

"Don't let your guard down, he is at least a C-class villain." The girl shouted.

"What C-class villain? Isn't it too—" The blonde was interrupted by the sudden laughter.

"Ha ha, that's right, I'm a C-class villain. The girl is really smart for her to identify my rank even though I tried to hide it." Through the dust and debris, they heard a burst of maniac laughter.

"…Get rea---" The blonde was grabbed by his ankle by the chain before he can even finish his sentence.

"Ahhh…" He wailed as he was pulled closer to the dust screen.

The other kids tried to grab him but felt hopeless as they weren't even able to budge the blonde a little bit.

"Icy Mist." A huge wave of icy mist pushed the dust away from its position. There, on the cleared field they saw the wolf choking the blonde, who was in the mid-air.

"That attack was… a bit troublesome. I had to expend some mana and energy to block it. And this is becoming quite boring. If you don't have anything else then we can end this charade here."

He tossed the blonde on the ground and released his full-blood lust. The sudden aura from a higher-ranked individual made the kids shudder in fear. Their will to fight just drained away. For them, it was like they were standing in front of death itself.

"…Useless," He spat on the ground and turned towards the girl "I wanted to recruit you but since I respect your decision, I shall complete my mission. Starting with you." He swung his chain which was like a cowboy rope knot, the knot perfectly fitted the helpless girl inside it. She was too afraid to even breathe properly. Her entire body had frozen the moment the wolf released his blood lust.

The kids were rolling on the ground as they were slowly going insane after getting exposed to the evil and mad aura. They were howling.

He pulled the rope to him with such force that the girl was instantly choking on his hands while she was in mid-air.

"Very well, you wanted to be a hero that wipes out scums like me from this society, right? How are you gonna do that when you can't even save yourself? You'll die knowing these useless kids died in front of you." He forcefully turned her sideways to one of the boys, squirming on the ground.

Her pupils dilated as she had a premonition about what was going to happen.

"N-no." She choked through her words.

"He he, you'll enjoy this, for sure."

He pointed his index finger at the grounded kid. This was the same boy who offered the milkshake.

A condensed small ball of energy started to form on the ends of his finger.

"Now watch carefully, as this will be the guide to killing someone with efficiency. He again twisted her neck to see the kid. She tried to close her eyes but find it difficult to even feel her eyes.

The energy ball was released, aiming at the kid on the ground. Sure enough, it penetrated through his skull, leaving a hole, which can see the other side. There was no screaming or moving. The only thing that was different from before was there was a hole in his skull. Oh, and the draining of blood, too.

"Mhmm…." Tears started to fall from her eyes as she watched one of the kids who fought together with her right now lost his life. She felt helpless.

"HA ha ha, see that… That's how you kill people. Now, on to the next one. Which one should I pick up?" He contemplated a bit and exclaimed suddenly. "Haaa… the blond would do fine."

He again turned his hands to show her the view of the blond kid on the ground. He pointed his finger at him. She cursed every god out there and prayed deeply for someone to save her from this maniac.

The condensed energy ball was deployed at the kid's head. It lunged at him hungrily. To devour him. She forcefully closed her eyes not to see any more of the blood.

The energy ball which was heading toward the kid's head suddenly shifted sideways. This caused the energy ball to completely miss the target and it plunged through the ground.

"Who did that?" The wolf howled loudly. He knew someone must have interrupted his energy ball or else it wouldn't have missed the target.

"I'm just pissed at you for bullying some small children. Why don't you pick someone of your own size."

The girl opened her eyes, hearing the seemingly arrogant voice of a kid. Where she saw a white-haired kid slowly making his way to the death ground. She wanted to scream 'run away,' but something about the kid made her not to. He was just casually walking while having his hands in his pockets.

"And who might you be?" the wolf snarled at the new kid.

"Me? I'm your friendly neighborhood Leviathan."
