What a show-off!!!

The students who wished for Home-Bringer and Phoenix Flame were greatly disappointed while the students who wished for the succubus were slightly disappointed by the fact it was not the succubus, but when they saw who it was their eyes lit up.

"Hello there!!" The Thunder Falcon was not a succubus but she can be said to be one of the most beautiful heroes. Her dark blue hair was tied in a bun.

She can be said to be 5'6" with golden eyes and an overall playful demeanor. She wore a black skirt suit with contact glasses, as to emphasize the whole 'I meant business' thing.

She could be said to be 'mature' in every aspect. Her demeanor, her body and all. And that might be a reason that all the students were happy to be under her even before she officially announce it.

Tap, tap, tap.

The sound from her high heels was the sole conquering sound in the entire large classroom.

She didn't exude any oppressing aura like before but everyone was solely focused on her.

She stood before the podium and cleared her throat.

Her golden eyes slowly and calmly swept through everyone in the classroom.

A playful smile tugged on her beautiful lips.

For her, it was just a few minutes but for the students, it felt like an eternity.

After several minutes, she broke the silence with her melodious sound.

"As you have already thought, I'm your head teacher." She glanced at everyone and paused for her words to sweep into the student's mind.

"This is my first time teaching here in this Academy or the whole 'teaching field,' and you guys are my first students." She rested her elbows on the top of the podium.

"Now, as an 'A rank' hero, I've my share of fighting and I know you guys are so excited to become heroes but," She paused again to add a dramatic appearance. "…But, if you think this hero "job," "She made a double quotation with her hands on the word 'job.' "is easy, then you guys are pretty much dead."

She released her hands from the podium and slowly moved around the stage. "You're supposed to save people. No matter what happens to you, you should save those who are weaker than you. That is the common motto of heroes around the world. And of course, you've seen countless videos of heroes saving people in need, defeating the villains, and nadayada… But have you seen a hero fall?" She looked at them all.

"Have you seen them failing to save a little kid who is just a few inches away from their grasp…? Have you seen them grieving for their lost ones? having to watch an entire crowd of people who were just saved being mercilessly slaughtered by some uncooked and crooked fuckers?" She stood in the middle of the stage and folded her arms. A thin sad smile formed on her lips.

"I've seen it. I've lived it. I'm living it. You will never forget the faces of the people whom you failed to save. You'll have nightmares. You won't sleep well and the guilt will never leave you." She slowly paced on the podium.

"And as time goes on and when you complete missions, the amount of guilt will only increase. Now, you may think saving people will help you feel better but it won't. You'll remember the faces you failed to save when that happens. Weak heroes can't handle this. They either commit suicide or they will succumb to darkness. I don't want a weak hero from my class. If any of you wants to walk away from here, you can." She gestured to the door she just came in. "No one will shame you for wanting a normal peaceful life."

Gulp.

Everyone was having a difficult time digesting what just unloaded on them but they got the essence.

Arthur looked at his companions. They all shared a smile.

A few seconds passed none of the students came forth. A smile tugged on her lips.

"Very well, since all of you seem to understand the implication and still wanted to stay… That's a good sign. You all are strong." She clasped her hands. "Alright, let's take attendance now. This is based on alphabetical order and not ranking. I'll talk about your ranking later."

Everyone relaxed a bit now that her speech was over.

She pulled a tab from her dimensional storage ring and typed something on it and started to call names.

"Anmilan Adams."

"Present."

"Aora Rory."

"Present."

"Arthur William."

"Present ma'am."

"Aurelia Stallard."

"Present."

"Desmond Shepheard."

Aurellia perked up hearing his name. "Wait, he's in this class?"

"Who?" Asked Arthur, seeing her surprised expression.

"Leviathan. That's his name."

"Desmond Shepheard." Thunder Falcon called out again.

"This is going to be fun." Said Tom.

"He is late on day one. She isn't going to like him." Said Hannah.

"Well, all in all, he is with us. Here." Arthur heartily said.

The head teacher sighed in disappointment when she found out one of the students is absent on day one. All of the powerful aura she felt from the students after her speech felt like just left her.

Sigh.

She looked at her tablet.

"Denn—"

Bang

A loud bang noise was heard near the door.

"PRESENT!!!!"

"!!!"

Before she could finish calling the name, a rowdy voice interrupted her. A student with white hair was pressing his hands on his knees and heaving heavy breaths outside the classroom. He peeked at her while still breathing loudly.

Raising a hand, he said. "Desmond Shepheard. Present ma'am."

Thunder Falcon folded her arms and looked straight at his purple eyes.

"Mr. Shepheard, you're late."

"I know… I know… I was having a private meeting with the headmaster." He stood straight and looked at her.

"And you're lying. The headmaster is not at the academy now."

Various murmurs started to irrupt from the classroom.

He slowly raised his left arm to the side, held two fingers and suddenly a folded paper appeared in between his fingers.

Which slowly and meticulously started to levitate toward her.

"Show off!!!"

All the students in the classroom, despite their differences, silently agreed with that fact.

The head teacher grabbed the paper and unfolded it before reading.

The paper suddenly caught fire after she read it.

She looked at the new kid.

"Mr. Shepheard, welcome to the class."
