The Arrival

"Me? I'm your friendly neighborhood, Leviathan."

[…Ugh…blah... Is this your take on the heroism I mentioned earlier.]

"What... no---"

[Are you trying to compete with the small children?]

"Fuck off. I was just… just…"

[Just what? He he he…. Hero Leviathan trying to compete with the children for the mantle of best heroic appearance.]

"Fuck you."

"…Oi… What the fuck are you speaking yourself?" The wolf was getting a creepy feeling from the white-haired kid who seemingly appeared out of nowhere and starts talking to himself. Completely avoiding him or the situation at hand.

"See that, now he thinks I'm some sort of weirdo." Leviathan didn't realize he was speaking loudly and not in his mind to the shitty system until the wolf gangster brought it up.

[Well… you're a weirdo. No caps.]

"…"

"…" The wolf was still warily looking at the weird kid.

"I apologize for the earlier… misunderstanding. I was giving my partner some instructions." He patted his pants and shirt to remove the imaginary dust on them.

"…Your partner? There is someone else other than you?" He quickly searched the vicinity with his experienced and trained eyes but didn't find anyone hiding anywhere. "There isn't anyone here. You're mumbling."

"Do you think, I'll come alone? Here?" Leviathan slowly started to walk towards the wolf. His hands are still in his pocket. "Do you think I or any other normal human can stand here nonchalantly while a kid with a hole in his head lies there?" He looked over at the dead kid, and without showing remorse or emotion he looked back at the wolf. "Do you think a small child like me could take on you without any help?"

Hearing the white-haired boy brought a partner with him the girl's eyes lit up with anticipation and hope.

"... So, who is your partner?"

"He is the greatest hero of all time. The most powerful hero. Villains shiver when they hear his name," His voice became cold. "My partner is, of course, Home Bringer."

"Pfff..." The wolf began to laugh loudly. "Home Bringer. Your partner," He exuberantly pointed his hands at Leviathan "Come on, I've seen kids acting like him but never calling him a partner."

The dimly lit light in her eyes died down very quickly.

It was a lie. We're gonna die. She thought.

"How is he gonna be your partner if he isn't even here?"

Leviathan looked at his imaginary watch on his wrist. "Huh... He will be here... Right about... Now."

At the same time, they all heard a high-pitched sound in the sky. Like a jet tearing through the sky at more than its recommended speed. Something small was approaching the academy. Every single living breathing being, villains and heroes alike looked at the magnificent beings' arrival.

The entire academy which was wailing and destruction just a moment ago was swallowed in absolute silence.

Even the wolf wasn't any exception. He watched in horror as the divine being descended to the ground. The fear and awe that took over the entire vicinity were unanimous.

The once-faded hope started to return to the people. Everyone felt the power engulfing them.

Under the watchful eyes of the people he slowly, like a feather falling to the ground, so graciously, landed on the ground. His blue eyes swept over every single one of them. Like a king watching his subjects.

They knew their prayers were heard. Their watchful guardian's arrival was the result.

The lowly beings didn't dare to look at his blue eyes. They held the power of authority.

His blue eyes then started to turn crimson. And then the dance began.

"Haha... You guys are so screwed up." The grounded and unconscious blonde suddenly was sitting on the ground. Without any tiredness or whatnot.

"See, I told ya. I did have a partner and that was him." Leviathan arrogantly spoke.

The wolf looked at him. Angrily. He tapped on his ear which was covered by the mask.

"Commence plan ---" Before he could complete his sentence he felt sudden coldness on his neck. He suddenly leaped to the side and avoided the crimson-black blade.

"Oh, you missed it?" The white-haired boy unamusingly said.

He dropped the girl on the ground and summoned his chain back. Since Home Bringer was here, his mission was to either die here or bring down this kid with him. He decided to test the kid for determining whether he would be a threat to their organization or actually a useless one.

He swirled his chain fastly. The chain lit up with hellfire. Unlike before he wasn't going to hold back against the little brat. He wanted to end here or bring him down with him.

Without waiting anymore, he lunged his chain at the kid. The chain traveled so fastly that the normal eye wasn't able to see it but that chain was parried by the blade in the mid-air.

"What?!" The wolf was confused as the hellfire chain was really powerful but was parried away by a mere blade.

He didn't give up. He again lunged the chain at the kid. Which was also parried away by the blade but before he could do it again the blade suddenly lunged at him, which was parried by the quick chain, but he lost his footing on the ground.

Leviathan took advantage of the situation as he used his telekinesis to remove a small portion from the ground around where the wolf was standing. This, coupled with earlier off-balance, the wolf suddenly fell to the ground.

Leviathan was also breathing roughly as the amount of power that took him to block the chain was ridiculously high. A full-power attack like that from a C-class villain was enough to kill the current Leviathan, but he was only able to parry it because of the blade. Levitating the blade and empowering a B-grade weapon was not child's play. It drained him, pretty much. He was using his brain to overcome the situation now. He also knows when 'that' comes. So, he planned on taking advantage of it too.
