SEEMING ORIGINS

I woke up to my head throbbing in pain.

I looked around and noticed this wasn't my room. Heck, it wasn't even my house. Where am I? I took notice that I wasn't the only one here. There was another bed beside me. Who is that guy?

I decided to wake him up but before I could the door flew open and I mean literally. I flew off its hinges and hit a wall near me.

there was a grim looking man at the door or where it used to be. "Clement, you're awake alas." he rolled his eyes at me and tapped his foot impatiently with his arms crossed. "who are—" "No one. Now get up and come with me. also wake up that brat!" He cut me off and by the look of it he wanted us to get up immediately and follow him.

Without much thought, I shook the other guy awake. He woke up pretty easily. I got him to follow me without many questions and we ended up following the man into twisting dark hallways.

Scary. I know.

The whole place was like a rich guy's house but there were people. There were people walking around! Most of them looked around my age. Were they kidnapped too?

We ended up in front of a grand door. It looked like some kinda fancy expensive wooden front door but it was a room door. The man opened the door and holy stars! The interior was burning my eyes. It was the brightest room I've ever seen. It was dazzling and sparkly and— It was just too much to describe!

The furniture was nice, none of them rotten. All polished and super shiny. There was a woman and another man sitting behind a nice looking table. Two name cards on the table. Mr. Eros and Ms. Reign.

"You've finally come, Clement." "Don't forget about Schmidt, Eros." the woman rolled her eyes at him.

"He's not that important to me." he scoffed and looked at me with a smile. "Could you guys get to the point already? Where are we and why are we here?" I asked but they seemed to just laugh at me. "You guys are at Eden." Eros smiled at us warmly. Even the Schmidt guy looked confused. We shared a glance and stared at the three people.

"I'm Eros. God of Patience. That's Reign—Goddess of Direction and the man who brought you here is Enoch, Guardian of Rights. He's also Reign's sob so he's a bit cranky." he introduced all of us. "God? Like gods and goddesses?" Schmidt was jaw dropped, shocked.

Reign rolled her eyes at us again.

"Yes, gods and stuff. whatever but we brought you here because you two or you are an heir to some kind of important God or something. Enoch then said "I wasn't the one who brought you here so don't look at me." As if we were going to blame him. Then a sudden question went through my mind. What do guardians even do? I mean I know what Gods and Goddesses do but what are guardians?

"Ugh, use your brain already. Guardians are appointed by the God or Goddess of whatever they appointed the guardian of." Reign clarified as if she had read my mind. "Enoch is the Guardian of Rights. He was appointed by the Goddess of Rights." Eros made an example which led to Enoch facepalming him.

We somehow ended up on a tour around the grand place which just so happened to be a school for the gifted. Gifted as in children of the god or talented children that could be appointed as a Guardian or literally whatever.

Enoch was such a troublemaker. While touring us around he popped people's things as if they were balloons. He flipped over three tables. Maybe he was angry.

Enoch end up running off somewhere mid tour. Schmidt guy and I decided that we would go explore by ourselves. Also figured out that Schmidt guy's name was Matteo.

Exploring was a BAD idea. Like really bad.

We accidentally woke up a hideously ugly ridiculously huge gigantic creature. Did I mention ugly? How did this happen? Well, we were walking and we opened a door and boom! The thing woke up and was now terrorizing the school.

Turns out the thing we accidentally woke up was some kind of ancient monster of Eden.

Crazy. I know.

This ugly Eden terrorizer is called Gardien de la pluie. What does that long name mean? Guardian of Rain. Yeah, Guardian of Rain. Surprising because I thought all guardians were supposed to be good looking since Enoch was.

Other students had weapons and powers. Schmidt guy and I don't have any. I don't think we do.

We did the best we could with distracting the guardian. Some of the unfortunate students got hit with boulders and got squashed to their deaths. "Nice sword." I picked up one of their swords and even if I didn't know how to use one, I still did.

I had no experience in fighting someone but I was good at acrobatics so I used the sword to leap and plunge directly onto the guardian. "You're asking for a death wish by doing that!" a student yelled at me.

I was lucky the sword didn't decide to snap but I'm sure it would've. Unfortunately, that was the only good thing that happened because right as I landed on it, I bounced off and slammed myself into the wall.

"Fall back!" a rough man's voice arose from all the yelling.

It was Enoch. "I wonder who's on time." I rolles my eyes at him. He came back with his huge hammer and plummeted the guardian into the ground. The archer students took the chance to shoot at the guardian. Some tiny little winged people wrapped the guardian up.

"What in the stars were you guys thinking!" Enoch screamed at us. "Listen, you left us alone. What did you expect us to do but wander around, huh?" Matteo shot a glare at Enoch. Technically it was kinda our fault but Enoch ran away so he could also be blamed for this.

"I thought you would have stayed in one place." Enoch scoffed. "Well, you assumed wrong." I rolled my eyes at the guardian.

I later learned that the Guardian of Rain was a cursed guardian and could be enraged quite easily. The one who woke it up was a nature faerie. The nature spirits, gods and faeries were displeased with Reign so they decided to throw a fit.

"Clement! There you are. Thank the stars you're safe." Eros came running towards me. "I would've never forgiven myself if you had gotten injured badly. I mean he wouldn't forgive me either." "Who's he?" I raised an eyebrow at Eros. "Nobody! Anyway, meet one of my top students! This is Cassandra Stoke." She glared at me as if I had done something to her.

I could tell she already didn't like me. She looked as if she wanted to kill me. "Uh, I'm Elliot Clement." I introduced myself to her but by the look of it she already knew who I was. That reminds me, how did Eros, Reign and Enoch know who I was? Before I could even ask it seemed that Eros had run away.

"Sooo…why are we here?" Matteo spoke up. He looked at Cassandra expecting an answer. "We are children of a God or Goddess. They come and collect us and put us here at this school—Anges Maison. She continued "As for who your parents are… Well, we'll find out."
