I AM IT

Claire worked fast, gathering her things together as soon as the bell rang to indicate that school was over. They had only had like two periods after the science fair and none before it. It was a Friday. And the long awaited day she had been waiting for. Before making her way out of the classroom, she moved to Amari's table.

"Hey bestie, umm, I won't be able to drop Mia home today," she informed.

"Umm, okay… You seem to be in such a hurry," Amari noted and Claire simply smiled at her, not bothering to give an explanation before she made her way out of the classroom. Waving at Amari who waved back.

Nick raised his head from the book he had been reading, his eyes making its way to the door where Claire was walking through, his eyebrows were knitted closely together, like he was contemplating, and then he suddenly jumped up from his seat and chased after Claire.
