Mi-Young's alarm went off at about 6:00 am. She stretched her hand out in order to snooze until she felt a slight tap.
"Ouch!" she exclaimed.
"Good, it's time for you to get up and get ready for varsity," Esme said sternly.
"Nooo, just a few minutes," Mi-Young pleaded.
"No, sleeping won't make your troubles go away and besides you have an early class today," Essie reminded her.
Mi-Young reluctantly got up from Esme's sleeper couch and made her way to the kitchen. She was still wearing last night's outfit as she opted to rather spend the night at the cottage than the main house. She really wanted to keep her distance from her brother at all costs.
Esme had made her a cup of coffee along with bacon and eggs for breakfast.
"So, were there any guys who tried their luck with you last night?" Esme asked.
"There was one, very cute but also odd," Mi-Young said.
"Odd, how so?"
"He was waiting for me outside the ladies toilet," she said, laughing at the memory.
Normally guys would hit on her on the dance floor or at the bar, but this guy chose to follow her to the toilet like a stalker.
"Lol, well that's very odd indeed. So did you give him your number?" Essie asked.
"Nope, I don't give my information out to hot strangers," Mimmi said getting up from the table, "I'm going to head back to the house to get ready. I'll see you at school okay."
Mi-Young hugged her friend goodbye and made her way back to the main house. Hoping not to run into her brother while there.
(Three hours later)
Mi-Young was seated by her desk waiting for her class to begin. Her bodyguard Vinny was waiting outside the classroom as she had instructed him to at least give her some space when she attended her classes. It's not like he couldn't see her. He made sure he had a clear view of her classroom from the door.
A few girls behind her were chatting and giggling nonstop. She eventually turned around to face them in order to ask them to lower their voices.
"Si-an... Jisoo, can you please keep it down? Mi-Young asked.
"Sorry Mimmi, it's just that we are so excited about the new guy that arrived this morning," Jisoo said, full of excitement.
"Really... The varsity gets new guys almost every semester, what's so special about this one?" Mimmi asked.
Jisoo and Si-an looked at each other, remembering that Mi-Young has never ever been interested in school gossip.
"Girl, he looks like a pop star. No, a Greek god, or maybe an angel walking on earth and rumour has it that he will be joining our class" Si-an said, with a glimmer in her eyes.
Mi-Young looked at her two classmates and remembered how dramatic they were. She turned around and didn't even bother to respond to they're ridiculousness.
"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Hope you are all ready for today's lecture," a chubby man said while walking into the room.
He was followed by a tall dark haired guy who looked oddly familiar to Mi-Young. The two girls behind her squealed and Mimmi realised that this was who they were talking about. He was indeed handsome but a Greek god? No.
"We have a new addition to our class this semester, please if you may be so kind as to introduce yourself," Mr Lin said.
The guy nodded and faced the rest of the class. His eyes met with Mi-Young's and for a moment he stared directly into her soul before breaking eye contact.
"Why does he look so familiar?" she wondered to herself.
"Hi everyone, my name is Jackson Wang and I recently just moved from China," he said.
"Thank you Mr. Wang, now to find you a seat.... Aaahh! There's an empty spot by Miss Kim," Mr. Lin pointed out.
Jackson made his way towards Mi-Young. He remembered her from last night and it was just his luck that she was in the same class as him. This meant he didn't have to search high and low to find her. He sat next to her and gave her a friendly smile.
"OMW, you're the guy from last night!!" she exclaimed with eyes wide open....
