Prologue

Kick!! Punch!!

By now Jackson was lying on the floor enduring the excruciating pain in his abdomen. He was pretty beat up but he slowly got up on his two feet and faced his opponent without any fear.

"Oh come on!!" the stranger exclaimed, "Why won't you stay down."

"I told you, I'll do anything for Mimmi, even if it means letting her brother kill me," he responded.

"Don't call her that! I warned you multiple times to keep your distance but you just wouldn't listen," he said.

"You're her brother, not her owner. Only she can tell me to stay away and until then I won't leave her side," Jackson stated.

Nam-joon then motioned to his guys to hold him back. He got his gun out and pointed it at Jackson.

"I really didn't want to do this but you leave me no choice."

"Joonie, nooo!!" a girl screamed.

Mi-Young ran towards her brother and dropped down by his feet; unable to hold back her tears.

"Joonie please, don't hurt him," Mi-Young begged with tears in her eyes.

"I thought I told you guys to keep her in the car!!" Joonie yelled.

"We tried okay, but the girl is literally the female version of you. She fought her way out of the car," Yoon-gi responded.

"Joonie, please, remember your promise to mom before she died," Mi-Young reminded him.

"That's why I'm doing this lil sis, it's for your happiness," he said looking at her.

"Joonie you're many things but you're not a killer. I'm begging you please don't do this," Mi-Young pleaded.

"It's okay, babe. If I have to die for our love then I'm happy to do so," Jackson said weakly.

"Shut up!!!" Nam-joon said moving closer to him.

"I'll end things with him," Mi-Young said in tears, "And I'll marry Jin as planned by you and dad."

Nam-joon stopped in his tracks and walked back towards his sister.

"What did you say?" he asked her.

"I will marry Jin," she said, tears still streaming down her face.

"Now that's what I like to hear, but how do I know you're serious?" Nam-joon asked.

"Pinky promise," she said, "Remember as kids, we never ever broke a pinky promise, so why start now."

Nam-joon moved closer to his sister and picked her up. He looked her straight in the eyes. He had promised his mom on her death bed to always keep her happy and to always protect her. He hated to see her in tears, especially when he was the cause of them.

"Fine, I will leave him alone only if you promise to stay far away from him," he said sternly.

Mi-Young looked at the man she loved and she just couldn't bear to see him in so much pain. She then looked at her twin brother and finally said,

"I promise."
