"I knew it, you are a witch, and I have always warned my son to have nothing to do with you, but he wouldn't listen," Ann yelled at the bedside where Christine was lying down.

"Ma'am please you need to reduce your voice. This is a hospital please." One of the doctors persuaded but she wouldn't listen and they dared not touch her and called security on her because of her influence and she's also a public figure.

"Get that bitch out of here and I will be calm!" Ann responded, yelling at the doctor too.

Christine woke up to her noise, although she found it hard to process what happened, and Ann was still by her bedside, yelling at her and accusing her of murder.

"Is he okay?" Christine managed to ask after settling down well.

"To hell with you you low-life bitch." Ann scoffed and left Christine's ward to meet her son.

Although Christine's heart was pierced and heavy with the harsh words her mother in law to be has been throwing at her she still held it all down and acted normal as if it was nothing. The doctors accessed her again and made sure she was okay before placing her back on sedative drugs so she could rest well.

Not quite long after James, who passed out due to the shock of the whole scenario, woke up and at first he found it hard to grasp his breath. He found it unbelievable that he was still alive after all that transpired.

His bodyguard sacrificed his own life for James. Immediately the shooting started he made James lay on the floor and he laid on him covering him.

"What happened to Nolan?" That was James's first word after he woke up.

"I'm sorry sir Mr. Nolan did not survive the incident." One of the doctors announced and James couldn't hold it within himself as he burst into tears. His beloved bodyguard died to keep him safe.

Suddenly James snapped and he grabbed the doctor's white coat.

"Where is Christine? What happened to her?" He yelled.

"She's fine Mr. James she also passed out but she is already recovering well." The doctor assured and James sighed then let go of the doctor's coat.

James' mother was permitted to enter his ward and check up on him. Immediately she entered she ran towards him and hugged him and did not even give him space to breathe.

James acted like he was choked so she could let go of him and she did.

"Thank God you are alive son." She said softly with watering eyes. James smiled at her and then opened up his arms for another hug.

"I don't want to ever see that thing with you again." She rejoinder.

"Mum, come on!"

"Can't you see that bitch is a witch? She only brought bad luck to you, chase her away please." She retorted.

"But Mum, I love her and I want to marry her," James said as he squeezed his face looking worried.

"That's a big NO!" She retorted almost immediately.

"Mum, I love her and I will marry her! And if you would please allow me, I need to rest now." He said with a strong voice and turned his back to face the other side.

"I do not support this and it's not going to happen!" Ann yelled.

I wish your dad was alive. I trust that he will never allow this insanity!" Ann added as she began to weep. James couldn't withstand her tears. He turned back to face her and then he sighed.

"Come here." He said calmly and Ann stepped forward and hugged him.

"You've always listened to your dad. I truly wish he was here with us now." Ann let out and James sighed without uttering any word.

After two hours both Christine and James were discharged and they headed back to James's house.

"I am coming with you, wait for me," Ann announced and James countered her immediately.

"No you're not coming with us, go back home we will be fine."

"Oh, you see that? You are making my own son chase me away from his house huh?" Ann yelled, facing Christine.

"No Mum, I and Christine just need time alone. You can come some other time but not today." James added. Ann smirked at him hissed and walked away with anger and rage boiling inside her.

James and Christine both explained their ordeal to each other after settling when they got back home and their eyes kept locking together till they were unable to control the urge to kiss each other.

The kiss was so intense as they were both moaning out loud with passion.

James undressed and caressed her body gently making her lose composure completely. He had one of his hands slowly grabbing her boobs and the other hand was inserted into her.

"Yes!" She gasped and let out slowly as she felt one of his fingers inside of her.

"Please don't stop." She said, moaning so loud.

James got down below and made sure he kissed every part of her body right from her.

"Ahh… yes!" Was the only word she could let out of her mouth she was already turned on.

"Fuck me please!" She yelled as she rubbed her hands all over James and then pulled down his trousers.

James thrusted and made sure she felt him inside of her every time he did so.

They were both breathing aggressively and they looked at each other's faces and smiled.

After having sex they went into the bathroom showered together and headed back to the room and they slept. It was already dark outside when they woke up and they were both hungry.

James suggested that they should go to a restaurant to eat and she accepted.

"You will need a new bodyguard and a driver now," Christine said, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, I will think about that later." He responded, and his mood changed immediately. Christine noticed the change and found a way to console him.

When they got to the restaurant, James asked Christine to go ahead and order what they would eat so that he would join her soon. Immediately, she left James weeping uncontrollably, and then he found a way to console himself before going inside the restaurant to meet Christine, who had already gulped her food.

Christine left James, who was still eating to use the toilet, and it took her a few minutes. When she got out and was heading back to meet James, she noticed a girl sitting where she sat before and how James was happy talking to her.

"What?" She gasped softly.

With anger and rage boiling inside her, she hastily walked towards them to confront the lady and was surprised by who it was.

"Ella?" The lady looked up and immediately jumped up, and they hugged each other.

"What are you doing here?" Christine asked her after the intimate hug.

"I just got a job offer as the manager in a company around here, so I decided to move in." She responded with a smile booming on her face.

"Well, this is my boyfriend here, James." She said, pointing at James, and Ella looked at him with surprise.

Christine would have asked what Ella was doing with James while she was away, but the joy inside of her to see her best friend and adviser again was beyond her.

"We need to talk!" Ella snapped suddenly with a very serious voice, and the smile on her face wiped off.

"Why did your…"

"Yeah, we will talk about that later." Christine quickly cut Ella's words short before she could finish.

"Can I have your number?" James, who had been silent all through, jumped in and Christine looked at him suspiciously and Ella was shocked.

"Y-y-yeah of course you can." She stuttered and then stretched don't her hands to collect his phone. She inputted her number on it and then handed it back.

"Your dad has been looking for you, Christine," Ella said and Christine raised her eyebrows at her and James looked at her with shock on his face.

"Her dad?"
