WHILE I am looking at the mango trees with their blooming flowers that line at center of the street towards our estate building of my parents' company, I am thinking deeply about what would happen to me today, it adds mood of how the sky outside was cloudy, and dull but mystic in other sides of the window.

I also feel a bit cold with the air conditioner I am riding in, because I am not used to cars with strong air conditioners, and I only have this thin dress with me.

Just like in my room, even though they also put an air conditioner, I still don't use it, the breeze in the trees that enter the window is also good by the way.

"Ms. Mantahon, we are here."

I did not realize that I am here, I thank our family driver and get rid of the car, and I am never been more depleted in walking here again once more.

I could feel my height getting taller, because of the heels my friend gave me. The door to the entrance of the building automatically opens. Think about it, I just got out, now there is air-con again right away.

Almost everyone who works here at the company are distracted by my walk, usually they would complement that I should walk in a runway because of this, but confidence won't let me.

Hearing the footsteps of my sandals, or just get taller on the heels feels so new to me.

I am accompanied by a woman in a blazer to get to my office—the one that will be my first and new one.

I smiled softly at her and went inside. The surroundings are also quiet, and this room is quite large.

As I entered, I see already the shelves that they look like they're cleaned just now and the lights and the single fan is pleasing.

When I lay my sight on what it should be my desk, Father is already sitting in my chair, holding both of his hands and looking at me intently, with the curtain on the large windowpane behind him, the fresh feeling of how the pale morning sun should be when the clouds are mostly covering.

I also sat in the chair next to my desk. Then just given a glass full of red wine. I drink for a moment, inhaling its strong smell.

"So, this will be my office, Papa?" I answer even though I already know.

Dad takes a folder, maybe containing the letter I suppose to sign, to ensure that I myself—is the one to follow the steps here.

"I know you already know Celynne that this is yours, so please don't act—as if you won an award for it." He answers me in full manner of being stoic.

He turns and hands the folder to me, I opened it and just read the only bond paper inside.

I gasp at the sight of my name on it placed at the lower right of the paper, which I must sign.

I take a pen and pause before I put my signature in it. And eventually I gave my signature as well.

I return the folder to Dad who is open, he just smiles at it and nods softly.

"Starting this day, you are now the official - heiress - of our Business' legacy."

Upon hearing his remarks to me, it is like the words coming out from novels and movies about wrecking businesses, because this is the chance of a new stage in my life, new accomplishments, new culprits to face.

I translated this story, this is originally Filipino with spices of little English and Spanish and other languages, so I hope this translation would be good or better, I made it simple as possible enough for you to understand and feel like you're in it.

Enjoy :)
