Anna Jadwin held back her tears and asked, "How is Grandpa doing? I've heard from the servants that he's much better now."
"He can't speak or walk, and being conscious is worse than being unconscious because at least the latter doesn't know pain!" Wayne Bailey stared intently at her.
"I'm sorry..." Anna Jadwin clutched the photo album tightly, holding it in her arms. She never knew that the brief memories would now seem like a rare treasure to her!
"If you really feel guilty, then stay and take care of him! Go back to The Baileys' Manor and fulfill your responsibility." Wayne Bailey pinched her nose, as if wiping a child's tears, "Make amends with your time and actions, not just empty words!"
"Me?" Anna Jadwin was taken aback.
"Haven't you ever considered doing something to make it up to him?" Wayne Bailey pressed aggressively, "He was so good to you before!"
"Of course I would, but... can I?"
